Michael Stewart waffling utter shite for 3 mins when he could just have said ‘Kettlewells decent, I like him’

If you listened carefully he was drawing a comparison between Kettlewell and the utter state his former employers find themselves in.

He was having a go at Uncle Roy and his pet Derek. For that he has my unstinting admiration

Tokely abused a vulnerable female. She had to get a court order to stop him from further abusing her. Given other off field issues involving alcohol with this twat it’s quite disturbing you seem to keep defending him.

Please desist with your misogynistic language. It's not a good look.

The substantive issue that the typical p&b pile-on ignores is the necessary and urgent health intervention that would be to our collective advantage.

I read rants but nothing to suggest that there is anything more than a broad aquiescence that our drinking culture* as it presents should persist. Maybe I'm flat out wrong and nothing needs to change.

*it's culture Jim but not as we know it

Nothing I’ve previously written about Tokely is not freely available on the internet.

You seem quite happy to dictate to others about the positive impact yet have a picture on your profile of a known football thug and an abusive individual to an ex female partner as well as other off field indiscretions.

    Not a good look.

Using the very sad breakdown of a marriage for an internet win was wrong the first time and utterly tiresome when repeated ad nauseam. This thread is about minimum unit pricing for alcohol, a measure welcomed by experts in the overdue task in resetting our toxic relationship with drink.

Alcohol seems to have played a role in the off field activities of the thug in your avatar.

You keep on responding to me with this.

I find it quite disconcerting and nothing to do with this this topic so I'd ask you to cease and desist.

  5. Whilst acknowledging plaintive cries on this forum, I can't help but appreciate the expert contributors who have been so very positive about this life saving help offered by our government. I note Ireland have also adopted a similar strategy.

From what is publicly known, her interests included horse racing, driving and tax evasion.

From what is probable, she also loved alcohol and hearing stories of her philandering, racist husbands debauchery.

She had no real formal education, and never had any real job.

    A weird, sad life.

She had a very brief but significant career as a political campaigner so we should think very carefully before writing her off

The involvement in the supply of class A drugs might just dampen some peoples views on him.

Love the sinner, hate the sin is the convention. Until, that is, it comes to our Derek who has fairly brightened up these dark days and pleased us with his spiel

The government spent about £1.2tn in the last financial year according to the IFS.  £120m on the sovereign grant is about 0.01% of that.  Its the equivalent of earning £50k a year and getting your knickers in a twist for wasting a fiver.  Like I said, trivial.

It's anything but trivial. They are the apex predators in our society. Without the royals the whole structure of heredity transfer of land and power starts to fray.

  9. Jackie Billie was unable to support her party policy this morning on gms.

Jackie Baillie is Scottish Labour Deputy Leader and Spokesperson for Health and Social Care.

Under any normal circumstance, Jackie Baillie would resign or be required to resign but no, this is special politics whereby the red and blue north britishers get to pretend they're somehow detached and different from their more senior colleagues. They are not.
