  1. Well if you don't know who they are how am i supposed to know?
  2. Ohh dear Fergus. I don't associate with who? My wife? My Daughter? Who?
  3. Aye the Staggie is on a roll. British soldiers are on a par with the Third Reich and the next step after opposing the state funding of schools who seperate children due to their religion is to ban all religion.
  4. They can have a go all they want. I agreed to my youngest daughter being christened in the RC faith. TBH it was never really an issue for me and i wasn't that bothered either way BUT the one condition i did have was that she wouldn't attend an RC school as i am totally opposed to seperating children due to their faith..whether that faith is RC,CoS,Islam or whatever.
  5. They absolutely are through the workshops held in the Broomloan Road and i couldn't find a link to this but i remember seeing a News Report where the CoS and the RC church in Glasgow area were working together with Rangers in this. As for sending out coaching staff to local RC schools. I couldn't give you an answer 100% either way but i would think they would IF they were welcome. If people really are serious about tackling sectarianism in Scotland and sectarian employment policies they could do a lot worse than looking at the school system we have in Scotland
  6. I curse your club and Tesco at least twice a day as i sit in car at those lights at Underwood Road!!!
  7. Yeh yeh yeh and do they go to RC schools? Here is one link i found about the work the club do with schools and which i believe we still part fund despite the financial state the club is in.... YOUNG Rangers defender Chris Hegarty and striking legend Mark Hateley visited the Club's Study Centre at Ibrox Stadium today to witness first hand one of the many courses the Rangers Study Centre provides in partnership with Glasgow City Council Education Services throughout the year. Chris, who impressed on his first start for Rangers in the recent victory over Linfield at Windsor Park, met Mark and pupils attending the Soccer Success course at the Centre and engaged in a Q&A session about their experiences at the Club. Soccer Success - an employability programme developed by Glasgow City Council in conjunction with Rangers and Celtic Football Clubs, City of Glasgow College and City Building - is designed for young people who should be going into 5th year at high school but would rather continue their education in a different way. 40 pupils from various secondary schools in Glasgow attend both Rangers and Celtic's education centres for the school year and the programme develops many different skill sets - including ICT, communication, leadership, group work, positive social skills and basic employability. The Rangers Study Support Centre - the first facility of its kind in Scotland - was initially launched in the Govan Stand in November 2001 and is staffed by a full-time teacher. A brand new £250,000 facility was re-opened in December 2006 in the Broomloan Stand and the high-tech multi-media centre is equipped with the latest computers and modern teaching aids, as well as a reading zone, computer games zone and celebrity interview area. The Centre has developed a curriculum designed to enhance and complement the work of schools whilst also presenting students with new and exciting ways of learning. The Study Support Centre also runs a number of anti-sectarianism and anti-racism initiatives and the programmes have proved inspirational to thousands of children with its success becoming a model for similar initiatives around the country. Football has the power to inspire many young people. Thanks to these initiatives, the partnership between Glasgow City Council Education Services and Rangers Football Club can influence future generations towards healthy lifestyles and team working, as well as raising attainment levels and encouraging a sense of social responsibility.
  8. Of course it does. You could look up the details of the schemes they run but they are for all schools no matter if it is Non Dom or RC and as far as i know they are welcomedat either. I believe the workshops are held in Broomloan House at the back of the Broomloan Road Stand
  9. I am sure there are many on here that would contest that view but cheers anyway
  10. 'The club is going backwards'...'The board are doing a great job' Aye right Charles
  11. Ohh dear Wee Viking hasn't read the latest memo..Rangers are never going to die. We have good old cuddly Uncle Mike to get us back on the straight and narrow. You must try and keep up. I know the Ps&Ds views change from day to day but posts like yours just make the others look rather foolish
  12. You have obviously never met my wife or two daughters..A mug you say? I would have to plead Guilty!!
  13. I cant remember the EXACT words i used in the original post but the reaction was not as violent as i would have expected given the circumstances and knowing the Rangers support the way i do. i do believe the small group of Hearts fans were lucky that it was dealt with swiftly by the Police. It was nothing more than a few shoves and a couple of punches thrown..I stand by the fact have no sympathy for idiots like this that go looking for trouble at the football regardless of who they are. I have many posts having a go at the Union Bears and if they come unstuck at an away fixture where they are looking for trouble then tough...They wont get any sympathy from me or any help Some Jambo claimed the scenes reminded him of games in the 70s & 80s .. Well he has either a very poor memory.....Wasn't there in the 70s & 80s or was simply lieing through his teeth. I was often taken to Easter Road (don't know what i did to deserve that) during this time and can still remember standing watching bottles and cans flying back and forth on the terracing opposite the Main Stand
  14. Exactly Bennett. 3 years of 'they are robbing you ya fool'...3 years of 'Can you not see they are only in it for themselves ya mug' Now we have Rangers men who are willing to help get the club back on its feet by using their own personal wealth , that is not in question , and by allowing the support to buy into the club through a share issue in a company led by people we can all trust. You can actually feel the outright hatred aimed at Dave King. The very fact he is so hated on here only reinforces my opinion he would be a huge success at Ibrox. Please feel free to bookmark
  15. It is an indication that the club were doing pretty well but we now have a younger generation coming along that refuse to move with the times or want to behave as their fathers did before them or just want to act like Tits and this is one way of causing as much offence and trouble. I never claimed anywhere to have the answer but i am sure the club are open to all and any advice you can give them on how to eradicate the problem
  16. Deary me. The sectarian proble is not a one way street Rangers have banned over 1,000 suporters since they started to tackle this problem. Obviously not all of them are for breaching the anti sectarian guidelines but a fair number of them will be Obviously supporters will be getting banned after the events of Friday night and especially those who stormed the Argyll House entrance who are clearly caught on camera. TBO are trying to identify them to pass their names on as i believe a section of the support were blaiming them as they had been moved to the Govan / Copland corner for the game
  17. Yeh i have heard this before and i ll ask you the same question i ask others. What more can the club itself do? ETA i should also ask if you know the steps Rangers have taken and the progress they have made not only within Ibrox but also out in the local community with schools etc I believe the answer is in self policing but there is an ever increasing vocal minority that revel in all this sectarian shite. I have mentioned before my utter contempt for the Union Bears and i believe this group and The Green Brigade on the other side have taken both clubs back years in the fight against this problem.
  18. That would certainly be acceptable but they need Kings shares to get the current directors out. After that we can take it from there but we must get those who wish only to take from the club out. At the moment that is all that matters and if they fail this time i am not sure there will be a next time.
  19. You are having a nightmare here. All those i want punished were involved with RANGERS and that is why i blame RANGERS for being excatly where we are right now and not trying to look to blame others
