  1. Just in from nightshift and listening to the new ep from Future of The Left entitled Polymers are Forever, early reports suggest it's a belter, I'll be blasting it out till sleep deprivation gets the better of me.
  2. Secret Affair last night at Ivory Blacks, great venue, excellent band. Got the mighty Black Spiders on Wednesday at the Cathouse, been wating for this one for a while, hoping to be there early enough to catch Viking Skull as well.
  3. Dokken-Erase The Slate, vastly underrated album, Reb Beach from Winger on geetar maketh it rather good.
  4. Are Psyko Dalek still on the go? I saw them supporting Clutch years ago and I'm sure we shared a stage with them somewhere in Embra when I was in a metal band.
  5. Good to see Anthrax and C.O.C getting mentions earlier in the thread, both excellent bands. I liked Anthrax with Belladonna but John Bush improved them tenfold IMO, still get shivers down my spine when I hear Only from Sound Of White Noise, I recall James Hetfield at the time describing it as the perfect metal song. I saw them when they toured We've Come For You All and it was an amazing experience, so damn tight and dynamic, probably my fave gig ever. For me Bush is up there with John Garcia and Mike Patton as fave singers. C.O.C have reinvented themselves a few times, not so keen on their early hardcore stuff but Deliverance and Wiseblood are classics. As for my favourite metal band ever, I'd have to go for Fu Manchu for sheer consistency, Kyuss aren't a kick in the arse away in second place.
  6. My good lady was looking for a new camera and I did some browsing on the net for her, shouted upstairs that I'd found her a decent one at a decent price. 'How many pickles?' Was her retort. Bless.
  7. KISS a week on Sunday, the first gig I've been to in ages but what a way to return.
  8. Very excited about seeing Alice In Chains, I'll be interested to see how it works out with the new singer. Early reports suggest the new album is a winner though. Mudhoney at HMV Picture House is next for me, anyone had any experience good or bad of this venue?
  9. Queensryche-Operation Mindcrime, whilst painting.
  10. Got my first proper gigs for a while coming up next month. Queens of The Stone Age at the Corn Exchange, then the biggie, The Gutter Twins at Koko in Camden.
  11. Is that the dude that sang for Yngwie Malmsteen?
  12. Keith Caputo and Ricky Warwick, 14th Oct, c'mon
  13. Run Fatboy Run, 80% typical Simon Pegg belly laughs, 20% romcom. 8/10
