Judge the man when he has his own players in.

A bunch of half-season loan signings, you mean?

He may well be building a squad in the Championship if this carries on. Are County fans meant to sit on their hands until then?

Motherwell punted Hammell after getting pumped by Raith Rovers last season. They were at least away from home.

It's a huge week with Livi, St Johnstone and Motherwell coming up between games with the Glasgow uglies. If there's no win from those three, Adams becomes even harder to defend than he already is.

Too many Clubs position is to simply get the B Teams to feck with no alternative plan

and don’t allow change to bottom of pyramid until they let us in the SPFL.

That's two different conversations, surely? Are you saying it's the same clubs voting against B teams and voting against a change to relegation?

I'd have thought it's mostly different clubs. Voting for more money and no additional relegation would be a frustrating, but understandably self-protecting position to take up, however.

As for "with no alternative plan"... the plan is to have a league filled with clubs who have earned their place in the LL, and who'll turn up with consistent squads. It's not their job to worry about what Celtic and Hearts want to do with their kids.

Our work is having a get together on the 28th Dec and I/we have been told there is a secret Santa ฿300.  Im completely fine with that, then I asked when do we draw the names, for who we buy the present.  My boss looked at me, as if I'd just dropped my pants.

No you draw the name at the party and then give the present you bought to them.

Now there is a age range from 18 to 70 and both sexes. About 60 folk.

They haven't thought this through have they?

So, it's Secret Santa, but it should be Secret Receiver. Thais are weard.

About six years ago, our team did 'Evil Santa'. You buy a present, and they all go into the middle. Names get picked out of a hat & choose a parcel to open. Next person goes and can either steal that gift - now known to the room - or take a random one. With 30 people in the team, it was good fun.

    Yours doesn't sound like that.

Discrimination can be legal where it's positive action to reduce disadvantage of a particular group.

This sounds (based on limited information) more like an additional barrier for one group that has been singled out.

Probably legally dubious but a reasonable bet that no one guy wants to be the one to take it to court. He'd look like a total beta cuck, or something.

I have no doubt that sexism exists in the financial services industry, but singling out white men is troublesome and a bit stupid. Men of Pakistani, middle eastern and African origin may be more likely to be sexist than their white counterparts, but theirs won't be the applications being binned (final sign-off my bahook).

I've never worked in financial services so don't know how sexism shows up there. I'm uncomfortable with sexism in reverse though, denying someone a job opportunity in case he turns out to be a sexist, or giving someone else a position because of her gender rather than experience.

I don't think it's a bad idea in principle. Unconscious bias means recruiters will end up favouring the person more like them, so it'll be more challenging for minority candidates to progress when they're evenly matched.

It can go badly wrong, but that won't stop me winding up my 50+ white male colleagues who like to foam at the mouth about such things.

Can Livi not invest in some thermal covers?
Is it any worse than conditions in Helsinki on Thursday?

Its a really frustrating call off, County  have tentatively shown an upturn in form. Livi on the other hand are struggling. This won’t be replayed until after the Jan window has opened, giving Livi the chance to regroup.

This has happened twice to us vs Livi, I would quite happily see them relegated and their drug dealing ned sacked too. If there’s one thing I hate more than shit pitches, it’s drug dealers.

County will obviously get the wallet out in January, which is more than Livi can do.

Weird to get quite so angry about a game being called off.

  5. It's a shop window for players. Can only imagine the logic is players are maybe reluctant to sign long contracts before moving up incase Highland life isn't for them.

It works for the club because it's prudent to make sure you're not left paying Premiership wages to players if things go wrong. Not sure how likely a player is to sign a 2 year deal with a relegation clause in it, as opposed to a 1 year deal.

The above not to say I agree with the approach, but the logic is there.

It’s Adams for me. Yes, McIntyre gave the club its greatest honour and one of the best days of my life. However, to go 35 matches unbeaten and skoosh a league we were definitely not expected to win is unrivalled. To then go into the next season as stonewall favourites to be second bottom and be within touching distance of a European spot is immense.

Was it not 40 league games unbeaten? The last 34 of the First Division season (after a 5-1 pumping at Accies in our second game) & the first six of our SPL debut? Could be completely mixing up seasons, here.

Yeah, I'll admit I'm on a sticky wicket here.  However I do find it a little ironic that for someone who is so principled as to boycott their supposed football club then wants to spend their first game back abusing a linesman, albeit a Tory linesman.

The difference is Douglas Ross chose to be a Tory, so slagging him for it is fair game. The other chap was picking on people for a variety of less savoury reasons. You know this.

Instead of nitpicking on the LL particularly Gretna and Edinburgh Uni could yous not post this on the league 2 forum and point out how well Cove Kelty Bonnyrigg and now Spartans are doing coming from non league football?

End of the day it's the same old shouts that the LL should open up but until the SPFL do then the LL won't be in any hurry to change their relegation format.

    Both things can be true.

Your strawman argument does you no favours.

Ross County v Aberdeen cup quarter final.

No VAR (apparently County don’t want to pay their half).
    No live TV.
No PPV option from Ross County.

    Backward thinking & pathetic.

If there's no VAR, it's the same for both sides. Seems fair enough to me.

You think tv companies are going to bother their arse coming to Dingwall if they don't have to?

  9. There's no chance this is a conspiracy because Brand's "on to something".

Now that he's an outcast, it's simply that the mainstream don't care about protecting him any more.

For clarity, he was cast out because there's at least some truth in the allegations. Hope that helps the couple of posters struggling with this.

I see Irvine Welsh is defending his pal Brand by using whataboutery based on easily disproven RT disinformation.  Some people really should just keep their mouths shut.

Here is an example of the blame being shared.

'The percentage of blame, known as contributory negligence'

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-tayside-central-66821313

I wasn't making a sweeping statement; it was a comment on a specific incident.

There's little info about the incident you've linked to in the article itself, and I'm not going digging for more context. Without video evidence - and I don't fancy watching someone's final moments this morning - we're only hearing one side of the story given the unfortunate outcome, so it's not particularly helpful in apportioning blame.

Do England even have a playoff fallback?

I think you might be trying too hard, here.

  13. Cup games are surely the chance to focus on something a bit different. Lower league team at home to Premier team is an easy choice from a small pool of 3pm kick offs yesterday.

Of course, yourself never normally get St Mirren- Motherwell as your live match of a Premiership as inevitably they'll be showcasing the latest OF cakewalk,

DA's hardly making an unreasonable point, here.
