    For me it was a home defeat to Dundee Utd (1-3, I think) when, due to injuries, Hughes named himself in the starting XI & collapsed in a heap after about 25 minutes. Might have been his last ever appearance.

    I find it fairly easy to differentiate between the genuinely concerned posts(fair enough), the 'traumatised from recent seasons' knicker-wetting(also, fair enough) and the rather blatant DPB friends & family fluffer accounts.

    Lots of things have gone wrong before. In fact, pretty much everything. His positive influence behind the scenes has been well documented and he would be an option, should McGlynn lose the dressing room.

    I think it would be a good idea to keep McGinn, with his coaching ambitions, on our books for the time being. Just in case February doesn't go so well, it would be a decent insurance policy. Just saying.
