  1. Based on that photo, the fact that such few mutants turned out, maybe the locals didn't even know it had happened. Outdated dinosaurs who hopefully will be extinct in the near future and we can be have of a proper grown up country
  2. And the clubs with the fans who are guilty of singing the songs will of course vote against it to protect their revenue stream. Its almost as if certain clubs rely on perpetuating the sectarian divide as its what their dominance of our game is based on and funded by.
  3. So make singing sectarian songs against the rules and have the power to rid our game of the embarrassing shamefull shite that we have to endure????
  4. This is peer pressure lol. My Mrs cannae talk me into being sensible so I doubt you can man. Think it's the collector addiction I have. A lot of the stuff I buy is just for that, and are rarely worn for fear of ruining them (yeah most folk think the current one couldn't get any worse I know lol) I have every scotland top since 1982 as Spain was the first tournament I can remember being fully invested in. Suppose I just don't want a gap in my collection I can't really come up with an excuse for the trainers though. Moment of weakness and you will be glad to hear, not been out the box........yet lol
  5. I know! thankfully one of my kids is the same size in case I come to my senses. Il be getting the sticker album next.
  6. Agree on the addidas kits tbh. I didnt initialy like the last euros top as it had that red band on the sleeve. Grew to like it in the end. Maybe its an age thing but I'd love to see an umbro kit with the retro diamonds down a long sleeve top. Sure anyone under 30 (40 probably) would hate that though!
  7. Daft loyalty I suppose. I know its mad. As I said, I don't hate it as much as when I saw it but wouldn't say I love it. Guess the bairn in me just wants to have it on when I step of the plane in Germany. I even bought the matching trainers which is questionable at least for a man of my age. Worried that come the summer, i'l be a full kit wa#&%r (I wont) I agree the costs are crazy, especially after you buy the kids some gear too!
  8. My feelings have mellowed a little too. Having bought it for the NI game and worn it a few times I'm in the "ach it's allright but not great" camp. Still think there's far too much yellow and we missed an opportunity to have an iconic kit with a nod to the past and celebrate our return to a proper finals (I don't really count the last one due to the covid / playing at home situation) When I bought mine and the kids tops, I asked the staff at the store how it was selling and was told pretty well. Guess a lot of folk will be like me. Not overly happy with it, don't think JD sports are great at promoting it and think it's over priced. Yet we still buy it any way. Think the SFA should do some sort of survey for the next kit. Can't please everyone i know but at least then we would have an opportunity to express our views. (I did raise my views on JD sports in the SSC renewal questionnaire and know a few folk that did too)
  9. Shows you how often I'm in Peterhead! Auld age definately taking its toll. The Mrs reckons I'm thinking of Fraserburgh anyway
  10. Heard a few rumours of what's been happening and don't know what to believe tbh. Only thing for certain is that parasite will have been as difficult, petty and self serving as possible.
  11. Not bad yes, but the same issues and weaknesses that have been obvious all season are still apparent even when we win. Momentum is everything going into games like these where there is an extra incentive for all involved. We will seriously need to up our game to have a hope of getting past whoever we play from this league never mind if we should get through to play the championship team. Unfortunately, a general shrug of the shoulders and an "ach not bad" is an uninspiring yet accurate summary of how this season panned out. This apathy is illustrated by the lamentable numbers that turn up each week. Massive job (on and off the park) to motivate and win back the non die hards in the support.
  12. A wins a win I suppose, especially in those condions. More importantly, we are unning out of time to get into the form and mentality that will be needed to battle through the play offs. I fear the squad overall is not "up for it" enough and a heavy defeat against Falkirk at home could really blow their fragile confidence. Atmosphere at home games has often been poor and negative in the latter half of the season. Will be really difficult to change that as we go into the play offs
  13. It's been obvious all season that his man management is as poor as his game management. Not the first, and won't be the last player to leave, be driven out or sent on loan when it was obvious they could have been so much more productive if utilised and managed correctly. Always difficult to keep players happy and motivated when you constantly "rotate" your squad, chop and change formations and make pointless subs . Especially when you have created a bloated squad with numerous players that play in the same position. The toxic continued presence of McGowan and his staff at NDP will no doubt have had a negative effect behind the scenes, which a lot of fans recognise will have made his job more difficult than it should be. There is also the issue of the role that "the club supremo " has created for himself. However, Rankin does himself no favours and has never tried to build bridges or connect with the fans following the issues at the end of last season. Few Accies fans would argue that a different manager could have won the league when Falkirk have obviously had a phenomenal season. (Huge congrats btw ) The point has always been, we should be so much better and prepared for the play offs. We have zero confidence Rankin has it in him to get us over the line and we are likely to bottle it and loose meekly. The new owner has stated they will contine to back him and I fear he will be here next season. I have been fully behind much of what the new owner is trying to do (again until McGowan fecks off out of football, this will be difficult) but keeping Rankin after failure in the play offs would be the tipping point for what is left of the support.
  14. Not great again but would have taken this before kick off.
