Jimmy Crease on the failure to deduct 15 points from Livi
The burden would have been eased had the Scottish Football League imposed a 15-point penalty on Livingston for failing to fulfil their opening day fixture against East Stirlingshire. Such a sanction was mooted, but the West Lothian club were last week handed a £3,000 fine instead.
"If they had been deducted points, that would have been a big help," Crease admitted. "By not docking them points, it means another team could miss out on promotion or a playoff place, which is a bit unfair, but we will get on with it."

Whatever, you have been found guilty of scratching the fixture, nothing for you or your club to be proud of. Yes you have been let off very lightly so I guess that is why you are laughing. Me? I'd be relieved.

Christ it's like a social club on this thread! Too many topics going on at the same time, I can't be arsed joining in them all so I'll come back later in the hope that it's more streamlined.
I agree - think it's time to let people make Livi threads outside of this one. As soon as any thread mentions them it's shoved in here.

Most of those teams running within their means though.
I would assume consortium or guaranteeing the deficit, the equation has been done countless times on Livingston thread if anyone can be arsed to sift through it.
Don't think it is right to suggest all Livi threads go in this big thread, not everyone can be arsed to go through it, does that mean match reports and everything are in it too?

Speaking to BRFC director on Sunday who spoke to SFL. Livingston got £3000 fine and also have to pay ES £1000 in compo. Seems lightweight IMO but that is closure now so let's move on. Should have got points deduction IMO but sure Livingston will be delighted with the outcome.
