  1. I cant believe others have missed this one...

Boxing Day - Wednesday 26 December

    Club 12 v Celtic

Thats the biggest indication yet that the decision has already been taken at some level irrespective of what we are told...

You are reading too much into that. Fixtures compiled weeks and weeks ago - then sent to clubs to iron out any problems with policing etc. When fixtures were first drafted it would have included Rangers - SPL have simply swapped Rangers for Club 12 but fixtures would have been drawn up with Rangers in mind as they hadn't been liquidated when they were decided... if you get my drift

  2. You just quoted it yourself,John Hall sold to Ballantyne.so if they had a gripe,it was with him.Hall could have said no if he had the Bankies fans best interests at heart.Clydebank were desperate to find a new home, they had no proper stadium,as you said they tried to relocate to Ireland but this was blocked by the SFA,SFL and FAI..Jim Ballantyne actually paid around £160k for the club,he outbid the Clydebank fans offer. So it proves what i said in that John Hall didn't have the bankies best interests at heart as the money was more important.

As for not cheating anyone,we haven't,i stick by that...we weren't liquidated for not paying tax or NI,and as i also pointed out CLYDEBANK still exist,we gave them the name back to start afresh.Something that will never be able to happen to Airdrieonians as we went out the game completely.

I enjoy your posts and like Airdrie Utd but sorry..

Really? So if Ballantyne sells to Green he's to blame? No bother. Airdrie stole Clydebank's league place. Of course they blame Hall - he tried to destroy them and suceeded- nobody is denying that but Ballantyne's ethics stink.

Would Airdrie fans be happy if Green lets you keep your name and what passes as your history? Why the f@@@ would Airdrie want Clydebanks name anyway - he was hardly doing them a favour. If Green buys airdrie then that is vehmently wrong but when Ballantyne did the same to Clydebank that was wrong too.

It was morally wrong - regardless of Clydebank's problems they did not deserve to lose their club in that manner, Aridrie weren't voted in (which I believe was wrong especially after what happened to Gretna the club that were) - and precedents were set. You can't moan if it happens to you - the scenario is the same.

That said - I hope it doesn't happen.

  3. Managed to get tix for Frank Turner's T warm up gig at Darlington on Sat July 7th (800 capacity so be good to seem him in a smaller venue again)

Also going to see Refused at London on Aug 12th

  4. I really want to go to that too, been to see them twice now and been fantastic both thimes! First time was the Academy in Jan 10 and the second was back in February at the ABC, that one just shades the first in terms of enjoyment!

Anyways, last night I went to see the Vaccines on a whim since I was coming back from Easter Road yesterday and met my pals in the Counting House who were going to the gig. However after half an hour of drinking and chatting I decided I'd go along to the Barrowlands with them and see if I could scadge a ticket - got one at face value and had a great night to top off a no-too-shabby day!

I see you've got Wellgreen as your Avatar - saw them supporting Stevie Jackson couple weeks ago - thought they were outstanding - superb harmonies and top blokes by all accounts. Whats the album like

  5. Are Warrior Soul still on the go?

God, I saw them at the Garage about 15 years ago. Supported by Clawfinger and Bush. The lead singer went AWOL on Sauchiehall Street and a fair chunk of the audience had given up waiting when he eventually staggered onto stage.

    This brings back memories

Aye I was at that gig it was the Kerrang! tour. My recollection is Clawfinger took about an hour to come on due to their set being broadcast on Friday Rock Show - Warrior Soul came on straight after them but because everyone had been waiting so long most left - I remember being right royaklly pissed off as Clawfinger took so long and WS played a shorter set. I spoke to Kory Clarke (WS singer) that night in Sleazy's he seemed a top bloke.

They have reformed but only original member is Kory Clarke - his voice is shot now - but a great band in their day ahead of their time.

  6. Hoping to take in Warrior Soul at Bannermans on Sept 24th then Sick Of It All at Newcastle on Oct 9th, Stevie Jackson (B&S) at Newcastle on Nov 3rd and Frank Turner at Barras on Nov 25th.

  7. Jimmy Crease on the failure to deduct 15 points from Livi

The burden would have been eased had the Scottish Football League imposed a 15-point penalty on Livingston for failing to fulfil their opening day fixture against East Stirlingshire. Such a sanction was mooted, but the West Lothian club were last week handed a £3,000 fine instead.

"If they had been deducted points, that would have been a big help," Crease admitted. "By not docking them points, it means another team could miss out on promotion or a playoff place, which is a bit unfair, but we will get on with it."

Oh dear - that'll upset them Jimmy
