I saw the late great Sean Lock here in Amsterdam about 10 years ago and he was fantastic, however, he was supported by Johnny Vaughan who I didn't even know was a stand up comedian and after about 30 seconds of his routine I realised he wasn't.

It was excruciatingly bad, like a Stan Boardman tribute act, 20 minutes of "jokes" about Germans getting up at 5am to put towels on sun loungers and about losing the war.

Once heard him describe Paul Hollywood as looking like a retired copper who had done a suspiciously bit too well for himself. One mildly amusing quip in a 30 year career isn’t a great return though.

  2. Wouldn’t call it hate, but I switch off podcasts when the comedian starts talking about their ADHD journey. Shaun Keavney, Dave Gorman, Blindboy, Rory Bremner, Lee Mack, Rhod Gilbert..

Maybe growing up in Fife the ADHD barre was a bit higher but it tended to be associated with kids who tried to kill their family, burn down schools, rob their grandparents, set fire to dogs etc and generally ended up dead or in care/young offenders/jail. Not middle aged men who appear to have done very well in life having had a very calm existence.

Was actually thinking it looked rather neat and tidy. You should see some of the flats the Glasgow hoods hang about. Say what you want about your Edinburgh gangsters but at least they keep a clean close.

Think that’s a recently converted office block on Gorgie Rd.

I own one of the breeds she mentioned which has a propensity to bark like f**k at anyone walking past our house which I think is enough grounds to complain.

If that did happen whether plod would take it any further is of course an entirely different discussion.

Can’t find a link as was in pre-internet days but reminds me of the guy who was in court in London for setting his dog on police who came to his door to arrest him.

“I never set the dog on them” was his defence. “I Just said ‘look Rover, there’s a copper’ and he made his own mind up to attack them”.

A lot of it for me is to alleviate boredom. I find a lot of social occasions boring af but if you’re drunk it is literally impossible to be bored.

For about five or six years I binned drinking but have had a drink at social occasions over the last six months or so and managed not to get too smashed or caused any bother etc beyond upsetting a group of folk by telling them how shite ABBA are. Not good for sleep, immune system etc though.  Really struggled to even go to some social events without a drink so I’ve maybe found a compromise where I can have a drink in special occasions and not randomly booze at home etc. Only took 30 years of training to achieve what seems like a reasonable position.

They all do that "dont want to make a complaint" thing.........while dripping in their own blood.

Every last one of them wants revenge - its King of the dunghill stuff.

The victim here was the deceased’s ex partner. An arrest was made but it won’t now be going to court as the accused is no longer able to attend.

Very interesting switch from blond to red sandstone.

The tall pic was in Leith this morning The spiky one in Morningside. Didn’t fancy staring death in the face/arse for a second time today so left it for tomorrow.

Plod should just let some more of them get on with thinning the scallywag population.

They pretty much do. Apart from the Jambo who shot Brad Welsh and some west coast scallies involved in machete-ing the brother of the other night’s murder victim there have been barely any convictions in the wake of the multitude of knife attacks and houses being shot over the last few years.
