  1. What is going on at Rovers , how can a team win every away game and lose every home game , turning into an incredible season. I suppose Accies 4-4?game was a forerunner with Rovers games full of goals
  2. BBC report on Accies game says summer signing David Templeton scored his first goal for the club today when he actually signed in March and scored at Dingwall in May.
  3. Lightweight, too small , good if he has time and space to play. Plays well until the clocks change.
  4. BBC report on Accies v Caley says Devlin and Donati returned after injury when they were actually suspended
  5. Paddy Bonnar said during Killie v Accies that Ajer (Killie) played a great through to D'Acol (Accies)
  6. Hopefully Ibrox answered a few questions - Ali Crawford isn't hopeless , Martin Canning isn't useless , we can play without McKinnon , Gillespie can play right back and Kirakins , well he is still Kurakins ! After Ayr the improvements have been down to signing of Donati and now Sarris. We could get by with Broohy and D'Acol but would like another striker , have doubts about Roy but in the wait and see category. A win over Morton could give us ten cancer of a decent effort at a cup competition but then who knows with Accies !
  7. I still wouldn't judge until transfer window closes on 31st August. In that time Harkins will have to decide if he wants to sign for us if rumours are true. Morris will have to decide where he wants to play this season and Accies will probably have their sights on a number of other players. We have never taken a point off Rangers in a Premier League game so no expectation of any this time either. We therefore might need to play 3 games before we get to a proper squad. Things are developing nicely with a strong midfield and D'Acol Longridge Imrie and Crawford all scoring twice already. We also have potential goal threat from Kurtaj , Donati and Docherty. Now about the defence - help !
  8. Carlton Morris was a 19yo with almost no first team experience a year ago. He progressed well during his year at Accies and towards the end of the season scored a few important goals. He seemed happy at the club and he seemed to be a good fit in the dressing room. I think it would be great to have him back and play with Brophy. The alternatives are unknown. No decent striker will sign for Accies as he will get offers of more money from other clubs or will look upon other clubs as bigger and better than Accies. The problem with Accies in yeh top flight is we will only attract a standard of player who is at the top end of the Championship. Anybody better will go higher up the league. We either have to bring through our own like Brophy, a loan signing like Morria, get lucky with an unknown like D'Acol , or a Championship player like Nade.
  9. I don't think the Accies board refuse to buy players I think it's more players at our level will find a club who are willing to pay higher wages. The only way a player will sign for Accies is if they see it as a shop window eg Kurtaj or else we are a last resort in which case they probably aren't good enough eg Nade, Turner. The advantage Accies may have next season is that a lot of players have gained experience over the past 12 months like Lucas and guys like Docherty and Brophy are now ready for the step up they weren't ready for a year ago. I wouldn't be surprised if Morris came back on loan.
  10. BBC had those stats last night , the papers had the same stats today yet all reported numerous McGovern saves. The saves were mainly blocking with his body quite far out so hard to tell if they were on target.
  11. Scotland play N Ireland on 25th sure Celtic will have other players away that week.
  12. The top six battle comes down to a Dundee v Accies battle , yet again. In all seriousness how many points will you guys get from five games aginst teams in the top six ? Don't fancy Accies get get more than 4 points from last four games. Interesting that Accies will play Ross County and Motherwell before Dundee play again, leaving you three games in hand at home to Aberdeen , Celtic and Utd.
  13. Motherwell played East Stirling in the First Divsion in 1980/81 and 81/82
  14. Sorry HMRC have yet to rule of the EBT'S Rangers were found guilty of bringing the game into disrepute for not paying PAYE during the Craig Wyhte era. Rangers appael was not against the guilty verdict , it was against the punishment. The appeal tribunal cannot re-convene until newco Rangers application for membership to the SFA is accepted.
  15. The claim that Scottish Football will lose £16m by Rangers going to Div 3, is a joke. Who will lose money ?, I can name 30 SFL clubs who won't lose £16m between them although if they vote in favour they could lose a lot.
  16. If First Divsion clubs unite against these plans , who will accept an invitaion to SPL2 , and why ?
  17. It doesn't deal with the single biggest issue, if another club goes into liquidation what will hapeen to them or are Rangers bigger than Scottish Football ?
  18. Yes was my thought and even worse the pyramid system is a threat to them, every club chairman must see this for what it is, Rangers are bigger than Scottish Football, tell them where to go ! The days of the tail wagging the dog are back !
  19. I know exactly how you feel, Accies were relegated to Div 3 for missing one game.
  20. If Rangers newco don't get admitted to SPL , Dundee will be promoted to SPL, Airdrie Utd to DIV 1. Rangers could buy Airdrie Utd from Jim Ballantyne and go into Div 1, and possibly one year away from SPL.
  21. This whole process has been a con , nobody bid against Charles Green so that there was no pushing teh proice up to pay creditors. The figure of £5.5m was just to make sure Duff & Phelps got paid. Now Rangers newco are free of Tax Liablities the real owners can step forward and buy off Green. They can use Walter Smith to get the fans on their side , and the players to transfer over then use fan power to force Green to sell. 1) David Murray gets away with paying tax on Big Tax Case 2) Craig Whyte a pawn in the game 3) Charles Green , a pawn in the game will make money for his trouble of being the big bad wolf putting Rangers into liquidation 4) Rangers supporting businessmen will own Rangers with no debt and no HMRC liablities from previous ownerships. Well done to all involved you played a blinder and showed how the Old Firm are more powerful then SPL and SFA. Maybe the press will blamr Craig Levein when Hampden is empty for the World Cup Qualifers, the SFA better do the right thing and see through this charade.
  22. This whole thing has been a set-up since day one, David Murray sold Rangers to Craig Whtye so Rangers didn't have to pay HMRC on the Big Tax case. Craig Wythe put Rangers into Administartion in the hope a CVA could be acheived to stop investigations into EBT. (The only thing that went wrong was Whyte not paying PAYE getting the taxman's back up and he will now fully investigate) Charles Green made sure the assets of Rangers were bought for as small an amount as possible and he would take the flak for putting Rangers into liquidation. This also got round the problem of Craig Whyte not selling to Paul Murray. Walter Smith consortium will use fan power to buy Rangers from Green, Green walks away witha profit for his troubles. Walter Smith consortium will either involve or sell Rangers on to Blue Kights. I have said since 14th February that Rangers will end up being owned by a consortium of Rangers fans including Douglas Park. It will be quite ironic to see an an Accies shareholder owning Rangers ! This will soon happen. Charles Green will hang around and try to push the price up, but in the end I can't see him being around on the opening day of next season. It would be interesting to see how many Season Tickets are sold if he did stay until the season opens.
  23. The Newco are buying Rangers footballing assets for £5.5m , then will then sell Lafferty, McGregor and Whittaker for about £10m , sell the naming rights to Ibrox for £10m, sell £20m season tickets , then sell the newco to the Blue Knights for £1 and walk away with a tidy profit. They have £1.5m set aside for wages for new players. Gattuso will get £600k this move will appease the fans. It will all carry on as if nothing happened. This is all a farce. I have no doubt by the time Rangers next play in Europe Charles Green will b elong gone and the Blue Knights in some form will be in charge. The man is an asset stripper and he has promised investors to double their money. I still don't see how he can be allowed to buy the assets of Rangers for only £5.5m, surely Ibrox, Murray Park and the players are worth more than that. This could leave D&P open to civil action from HMRC for selling an asset at an undervalued amount.
