St Mirren vs Dundee United
EKACCIES replied to Ray Patterson's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
As a neutral thought both teams showed they have good goalkeepers, solid in defence but lacked imagination in attack. McMullan’s pace could be the deciding factor if we stays in ode but if Jackson plays St Mirren could have a similar threat. Looks like a low scoring game so the first goal will be vital. -
Dundee vs St. Mirren

Just as well Accies won as that has to be one of the worst displays of Premier League goalkeeping I have seen -
I think it’s a lot simpler it’s a quality issue the players simply aren’t good enough to play at this level. We have a few players who can raise their game to this level but not for 90mins week in week out. Any other season we would have been relegated by now. We are fortunate we have a three game season to save ourselves with a two point lead. It is very unlikely Dundee will win the last three games but Accies need three massive efforts to avoid a playoff.

What is going on at Rovers , how can a team win every away game and lose every home game , turning into an incredible season. I suppose Accies 4-4?game was a forerunner with Rovers games full of goals

BBC report on Accies game says summer signing David Templeton scored his first goal for the club today when he actually signed in March and scored at Dingwall in May. -
Lightweight, too small , good if he has time and space to play. Plays well until the clocks change.

Hopefully Ibrox answered a few questions - Ali Crawford isn't hopeless , Martin Canning isn't useless , we can play without McKinnon , Gillespie can play right back and Kirakins , well he is still Kurakins ! After Ayr the improvements have been down to signing of Donati and now Sarris. We could get by with Broohy and D'Acol but would like another striker , have doubts about Roy but in the wait and see category. A win over Morton could give us ten cancer of a decent effort at a cup competition but then who knows with Accies ! -

I still wouldn't judge until transfer window closes on 31st August. In that time Harkins will have to decide if he wants to sign for us if rumours are true. Morris will have to decide where he wants to play this season and Accies will probably have their sights on a number of other players. We have never taken a point off Rangers in a Premier League game so no expectation of any this time either. We therefore might need to play 3 games before we get to a proper squad. Things are developing nicely with a strong midfield and D'Acol Longridge Imrie and Crawford all scoring twice already. We also have potential goal threat from Kurtaj , Donati and Docherty. Now about the defence - help ! -

Carlton Morris was a 19yo with almost no first team experience a year ago. He progressed well during his year at Accies and towards the end of the season scored a few important goals. He seemed happy at the club and he seemed to be a good fit in the dressing room. I think it would be great to have him back and play with Brophy. The alternatives are unknown. No decent striker will sign for Accies as he will get offers of more money from other clubs or will look upon other clubs as bigger and better than Accies. The problem with Accies in yeh top flight is we will only attract a standard of player who is at the top end of the Championship. Anybody better will go higher up the league. We either have to bring through our own like Brophy, a loan signing like Morria, get lucky with an unknown like D'Acol , or a Championship player like Nade. -

I don't think the Accies board refuse to buy players I think it's more players at our level will find a club who are willing to pay higher wages. The only way a player will sign for Accies is if they see it as a shop window eg Kurtaj or else we are a last resort in which case they probably aren't good enough eg Nade, Turner. The advantage Accies may have next season is that a lot of players have gained experience over the past 12 months like Lucas and guys like Docherty and Brophy are now ready for the step up they weren't ready for a year ago. I wouldn't be surprised if Morris came back on loan. -

BBC had those stats last night , the papers had the same stats today yet all reported numerous McGovern saves. The saves were mainly blocking with his body quite far out so hard to tell if they were on target. -
