  1. Jon Crawford Alan Gray Derek Anderson Derek Alan Have we even named the regular starting squad of our Championship winning year yet? Shameful if not ETA David Bagen/Bagan
  2. So it was! I can recall English in that game for some reason, did he set-up a goal perhaps? Don't know why he is so prominent in my memory of the game
  3. As mentioned by SD I will always remember Payne for that goal. It was one of my best away days and is probably still up there tbh. I'm sure it was Thistle's first season in the 1st after relegation and they were flying at the time with Escalas (sp?) banging the goals in for them. He scored that day as well to put them ahead before Tommy English scored for us (free-kick/penalty?) to level, then I think Payne had been on for minutes before firing in a peach for an injury-time winner. I can remember going nuts and one of those goals where you cuddle utter strangers around about you! For that reason alone he shouldn't be anywhere near a Worst XI I can remember Chris Carr having a good game in the final game of the season against Falkirk (the year they went up ironically) where we won 2-1 (having gone 1-0 behind in that game as well!) I had hoped the next season would have seen him develop, but sadly he faded away.
  4. Russell re-signing is interesting (as well as excellent). If I felt I was being played out of position constantly then I certainly wouldn't be staying put. So for all some folk would like to see him up front (myself included), at least Russell is happy enough at the club. I would far rather he was played out of position than not in our team at all! Great news anyway
  5. The relegation play-offs I imagine you are talking about?
  6. At what point in this season have we been away from the relegation dog fight?
  7. When you have been in your own company for a while and in a pretty decent mood, then the Mrs comes in moaning like f**k about trivial things or more specifically moaning about you. THAT'S not what gets to me though. What gets to me is when her 'behaviour' finally grinds you down and you end up in a fettle. At which point within the next 2-5 minutes her mood changes and she is back to being lovely, but at this point you are still raging with her so you are the one that is now in the bad mood. Therefore you will hardly engage with her and the question "What's up wae you?" comes into play. Really?!
  8. The most tears I shed was actually a quote from Winters after the final episode. Something along the lines of "My grandson asked me, "Grandpa, were you a hero in the war?" and I replied "No. But I fought with a band of heroes."" Seemed like such a great guy and very modest considering his actions. Excellent box-set and easily one of my favourites, never tire of watching it, although once you start you have to watch them all!
  9. It's not really any single person's decision. The Captain meets in the middle as it's his role, but on decision of which half to start with it's not really entirely his decision. The other week I had made the decision purely because the sun would have been in my eyes in the first half but would have been gone by the 2nd (I'm a GK). Things like that and wind conditions will normally affect which side to start at. If the weather isn't a factor then I think having kick-off is far more important.
  10. Not disappointed in all honesty. Other than 2 cracking performances against the then worst team in the league (Stirling) he never really impressed me. Good luck to him. I imagine he'll be at Annan next or a team around that level.

"Change? Any spare change?" ..... "He's become one of them."
  12. It's a world where the undead roam the world eating people. Up until the prison scenes were you taken in by the realism of the program? In seriousness, I agree. Although I suppose it's to be expected or there wouldn't be a show. You know that not everyone will die in these scenes but I suppose you are just hoping your favourite characters come out alive, which is why there is still the intensity there. Certainly that's the way I view it. I thought it was the older young girl. I thought it was obvious that it was her or her sister just because they had that scene where they were naming the walkers and someone had been feeding them rats. Although feeding a walker and dissecting a rat is 2 very different things so maybe you are right. I just presumed that Bob was hiding booze TBH. I only recently started watching this program and where I have really enjoyed it I find it to be very predictable at times. I can honestly say the only shock I ever got was in season 1 when the young girl walked out the barn dead. I honestly thought Daryl was going to find her. There was something really eerie about that scene, very well directed I thought. Other than that I have seen the main 'twists' coming a mile off (this from someone who rarely sees a twist even when it's right in front of me!) Overall I think they will struggle to get a 5th Season from this. The main theme's/things they have had to fight off throughout the season's have all been season lasting and realistic in the situation:- Season 1 - Struggling to deal with the situation and coming to terms with everything. Season 2 - Zombies mainly Season 3 - Other survivors/savages Season 4 - Illness What is realistically the next hurdle?
  13. This is a guess, but I can remember a game being called off a few years ago. I want to say the team was Morton. I'm not entirely sure if it was because of rain or not but I'm sure it was a wet day. It's very vague. All I can remember is being in my room and my dad shouted through not to get ready because the game was off. It would have been the 90's or very early 00's.
  14. I think it's fair enough what the club are doing with regards to the re-match. My only real question is about those who will have thrown their ticket away. Is it tough sh*t for them? I imagine it will only be a few that this is the case for but nevertheless it would still be pretty gutting. I wonder if the match price will be dropped for the reply anyway. Who took over the tannoy after the game had been abandoned? Was it the match commander? As previously stated, the tannoy system was pretty shocking. I actually thought the ref was taking them off for a while to see if it would calm down a bit. If it hadn't been for the Falkirk players applauding their fans I think a few of us could have been sitting for a while until word of mouth got around. Having said that there was a fair bit of booing in my area which probably made the guy's announcement harder to hear
  15. Deary me. I'm guessing Kev won't be staying very long then
  16. Nor should you have to. I couldn't care if people attend games or not. As I say, each to their own I've more exciting things going on in my life than moaning at people I don't even know. I'm just the kind of person who goes to every (home) game whether we are awful or not. In all honesty, I couldn't support a team who wins every week. Last season was good but for the most part I was bored. Give me a scrap over a saunter any day of the week
  17. I've never stated I'll stop attending and I won't stop attending. I have no support for the JM anymore though and will be pleased to see the back of him. I've seen us far worse and never stopped attending then. Each to their own but I don't get why people stop attending when times are tough. You support them through the good and bad, but that's just me.
  18. Really?! An utter donkey IMO. Wouldn't want him anywhere near our squad. How he is playing as high as Div 2 baffles me. I'm officially done with JM. I haven't once called for his head or had a right good go at him, but yesterday was the final straw. You go 2-0 down away from home in a cup game against a team you are expected to get beat against anyway, you have youngsters on the bench itching for match practice. The tie is basically dead and buried anyway. If I was in that situation as a manager I would either go all out attack or at the very least give some of the youngsters valuable game time to boost their confidence. So what do you do Jim? F*ck all! Try and sit on to what we have. Utter tube. The guy IS as bad as McPherson if not worse.
  19. In hindsight the obvious answer is no. But as I have previously said, he will be on a lot more money and in a higher league, so career wise I don't think he made the wrong decision. If he is given time I still think the guy can do a job at Killie.
  20. Let's stop tip-toeing around the obvious. Antell is p*sh. A couple of years in the lower leagues might bring the boy on, but as it stands; Antell is p*sh.
