  1. I know it's early, but is it not a bit of a risk/stupid that you race against someone to get online? I've been waiting 5 minutes so far to begin this race. I know there are problems just now and I'm not having a pop. Sure, once everyone can get on then there will be numerous opponents. But what if someone goes online about 8 months from now and there are no opponents for hours?! Will this stop people from going online??
  2. Start work in an hour. Can get online now aye!
  3. I'm guessing we can get cracking with that just now then yeah?
  4. I'm sure that will do the boy's confidence the world of good. If he's playing the blame game is he going to have a pop everytime Antell loses us a goal? And why not say the same about Lyle's sitter on Wednesday, which is arguably the exact same case as Reilly's. Totally agree with Flash's post. Can't seem to multiquote on this phone.
  5. Continuing the Scottish connection, I wonder if Mr and Mrs Thornhill is coincidental.
  6. Well that was weird. I just got in Trevor helicopter and a blue dot came up, larger than normal. So I landed to help, as it was a hippy van with it's doors open and Trevor said "Phillips to the rescue". Once I got out I was shot by a hillbilly and awoke with just my skants on lying on a traintrack with an L coming right for me. I managed to dodge it. That happened to anyone else yet?
  7. How do you stop them from disappearing? I spent about 20 minutes souping up a motor then when I put it in the garage and saved, it was gone the next time.
  8. Any luck yet? If not, have you turned your phone to silent? That stops the main missions I'm sure.
  9. Magic hardly started Gavin every week for us in the 2nd Division, so why on earth would he pay a fee for him to take him into the SPL? I smell sh*te.
  10. To an extent yes we do have to defend better. But I'm sorry, if the ball is in the 6 yard box then the GK should be claiming it. He should be claiming more ball that come through to him from the middle of the park as well, it makes for a shakier defence when the defenders don't have faith in their GK. I'm afraid I'm done with Antell, he isn't good enough and he is at fault more than the defence IMO. As for scoring, all we need to do is try Russell through the middle for a few games. Lyle shouldn't be starting every game IMO. His link-up play is good, but as I said at the start of the season, if we are relying on him being our main hope of goals then we are in bother.
  11. I totally agree with you and tbh, the only reason I put in about a goalkeeping coach is because it's the only defence I have for the guy. In all honesty my opinion is that he isn't good enough for this level. For me, the signing screamed of "Panic Buy". We were warned about McIntyre's history of signing 'keepers
  12. We'll continue to lose goals from crosses/corners as long as he is in goals. The boy is a very good shot stopper, but for me he cost us the game on Tuesday. As I've said before, if Queens are wanting to keep this boy and think he is a prospect then we need a goalkeeping coach in a.s.a.p. to help him work on his crosses, having Atkinson float balls in unchallenged won't boost his confidence or ability. If not, then we need to get rid of him and fast. No surprise at all that all our goals came from crosses on Tuesday, sadly I think we could have taken Rangers had we had a commanding goalie. There's no doubt in my mind who the biggest loss (player wise) was to us over the summer.
  13. Personally I have no intention of booing Nicky if he plays, I have said many times that I don't exactly want him to bang them in for Rangers such is my dislike for the OF, but I don't see any need to give the guy verbals. ** I don't think that can be questioned. However, there are plenty of players with similar drive and desire that don't make it. The reason being Ability. In my opinion a far more valuable asset that the other two Whether Clark has it to play at a higher level, time will tell.
  14. As the Metallica song goes: Sad but true! Or more bizarre, as the Michael Aspel show went: Strange but true!
  15. I won't lie, I haven't read any details, so don't know the deal with this place other than I know a lot of services use it and really enjoy it. I will give you the link and you can have a rummage around and see if it's what you are after. If that fails get the tents out and pitch in the AE forest, good enough laugh http://www.marthrownofmabie.com/folder-31-2013-prices-bookings
  16. Clark 'Couldn't lace Dobbie's boots'. World's apart in quality. No doubt JM will say at some point that it has taken it's toll on the players, but undoubtedly won't change the line-up
  17. If you put "one of" in between "both" and "the" then you are describing Willie McLaren for me. I know it will sound daft, but I didn't think Dobbie was a particularly 'lazy' player, more that his style of play was to make things happen when he got the ball; which is exactly what he did. There are loads of strikers who do very little to contribute defensively or even pressure opposition defenders, but give them the ball and you see what they do. A perfect example is Mario Gomez. At the last major tournament he was the top goalscorer at one stage but had only been on the ball for under 20 minutes in total; I can't remember stats, but it was incredible. There was no need for Dobbs to chase every ball anyway, as we had Sean in the team. We have had plenty of headless chicken type strikers at QoS in the past few years , O'Connor, Weir, Kean etc. and I would have a Dobbie-type player back any day of the week. In recent years at least, without question. Special mention must go to Lee Bailey though
  18. Yes fair is fair. At the end 2 of them were a bit OTT with the stewards, but as I say, if I had someone being picky with me for 120 minutes I would probably have said something to her at the end as well. I noticed that she was rather heavy handed with the guy right enough. When the winner came, a few of the boys were heading out, so it was just rather unfortunate that they were so close the St Mirren fans when we scored. Again, on the other hand, when St Mirren scored a few of them were giving it big licks. One zoomer in particular was going OTT, he looked more like a casual tbh. He was that much of a tit that I even gave him the usual patter when we scored the winner. At the end when he was walking out he was threatening folk for a fight! XD If you can't take the banter you shouldn't dish it out IMO. I just think cordoning a section off like that is way OTT.
  19. I'll be the one to halt the positivity then!:- I was in the East Stand today and went to sit in my usual area (if available the seats right up the back, just below the camera stand). When I went up it was cordoned off; as well as a section next to the camera stand. The steward came up and told us my mate and I that we would have to move. I had no issues and just imagined a seat or two was broken. I asked the steward why it was cordoned to which he responded that it was because of the young boys the other night! I asked what they had done and he said they were just being f£nnies on Tuesday. Having been sitting close to the group of lads on Tuesday I think it's pretty shocking that they have been punished for their behaviour. They were singing for the majority of the night, they were seated for the most part and I never heard any inappropriate language. For the first time in years there was actually a bit of atmosphere in the East Stand. So rather than encourage this kind of behaviour/these young lads to come back, why in gods name are they being discouraged?! Nothing short of f&ck&ng pathetic. Community club?! I don't want to criticise the club too much as there is a good chance it was done as complaints were perhaps made? If that is the case then the people making the complaints really need to get a grip. If you go to a football match then by Christ you should expect a bit of noise! The thing that really gets on my nerves is that fornthe majority of the night, the N.P.B. (No Personality Brigade A.K.A. Stewards) were on the case of these lads, yet they had no issue with the Dee fans standing down by the barriers; which as we all know lead to an incident. Can anyone clear up why this was done in the stand today? I really hope it was my latter presumption than the former. Although if I'm going to be slated for complaining about the club I may as well go 2 for 2 and state that I thought it was pretty poor on Queens' part to have Rangers printed into our fixtures section of the programme on Tuesday before they had even played!
  20. I don't know the law. If it's tongue in cheek with regards to my comment, I stated "as things stand", he is better where he is. I don't know the ins and outs of the whole story, but I'm pretty confident KS was in a similar situation to Kenny Brannigan in that he did well on the field but was a gobsh*te off the park and that is what effectively lost him his job. The facts just now are that Alan Johnstone moved to a bigger club who play in a higher division and his wages will likely be far better. IF he gets sacked then obviously it was a bad move for him, but as things stand he is in a better job. FWIW I think if Johnstone had stayed here for a year and did well with us then he could have likely got a better offer, but then again if he had a poor season he'd have likely gone off everyone's radar.
  21. Time will tell. I don't think Killie will be stupid enough to sack him, he just needs time. As I say though as things stand he has made the right decision IMO (even if it stings for me that he left).
  22. So what's the issue? Whether he is losing games the now or not, as you say he is still managing at a higher level than here and making more money, I doubt he is thinking about QoS at all.
