  1. It wouldn't have affected the draw Hawk. QoS voted for Rangers to be placed in Division 1, so they would still have been in the competition
  2. Good draw for us. The most pointless cup competition in Scotland with little financial benefit, so it will be nice to make some dough from it for a change.
  3. Unfortunately I missed it today. Middlesbrough being my English team makes it more disappointing than the scoreline! Aside from the scoreline, what did most people think of Boro? Do they look like promotion challengers? They have added few for this season and I don't think last seasons team is up to it, unless the ones he has brought in are all Mogga thinks is required. Good to read Williams looked good. Bound to be Boro's next Downing/Johnson.
  4. I don't think anyone would have a problem with a player scoring and playing well. The scepticism(sp?) is whether or not he can make the jump.
  5. I can't quote using this, so RE. FC_1919, Yes I've seen him play, super fast and has a cracking shot. Have I saw him play against a team of Div 2 standard? No. Which is my biggest concern. RE. Puma, I'll be more than happy to tell the source they are wrong. I got no enjoyment hearing it or posting about it, I hope they are wrong. The reason I wouldn't give him a chance is because we would be relying on a 27 year old from Dalbeattie Star to score us goals. Some peoe are forgetting how poor the standard is I think. As I've said elsewhere, I know someone who follows Star and when Jack Steele was there he said he was a class above - he's got as far as Annan and IMO is better than Millie in his respective position.
  6. Just been told from reliable source that Scott Milligan has signed for us. Sigh. Hope they are wrong but doubt it :-/
  7. Smokin' Aces 7.5/10 First time I've watched this, I picked t up from a charity shop for around £2 and I believe it's money well spent. It had a very good cast with a good few recognisable faces and others that I had seen but had to check IMDB! Good twist at the end and I genuinely never saw it coming, although there is that much going on in the film that I was doing well just to keep up, maybe that's why I didn't score it higher. Overall I thought it was well worth the time and money and would recommend it. Another bonus is that Alicia Keyes is in it and is smokin' hot!
  8. Heat 8/10 Just finished watching it there (I'm hard pushed on my nightshifts ) Good story I thought and a nice amount of action, not too many that you get fed up, but a nice mix of action and good dialogue. The only let down was that after De Nero and Pacino had their scene in the cafe you knew how the flim was going to end. Slowly beginning to make my way through Al Pacino flims; he really is a cracking actor. I've only saw Donnie Brasco, The Godfather, Scarface and Heat that I can think of, and he has been superb in each of those certainly. Hanna 2/10 Watched this at the weekend. Bitterly bitterly disappointed after looking forward to watching it for some time. When I read that a father had trained his daughter to become a top assassin I was thinking it would somewhat replicate Assassins Creed in a way - I couldn't have been more wrong! Instead of assassinating people, she spent the majority of the film running away from people! The story was stupid IMO and overall it was just a complete borefest. The only reason I have given it marks is because I thought Saoirse Ronan was once again superb (future Oscar winner IMO, if she can stay away from garbage like this) but even that wasn't enough to drag this piece of garbage through the sh*t.
  9. What is the purpose of the film? I just didn't get all the hype, unless I've blatantly missed the whole point of the film? (sounds possible!) The Majestic 9/10 This really is one of my favourite films. Carrey is great in it and proves that he can be a serious actor. The film is just a feel good film. Long story short, it's about a man who falls into a river, wakes up on a beach with amnesia and is mistaken for a guy in the small town who went MIA during WWII, he then helps his 'father' re-open the flix - The Majestic. Duno how to use the spoiler tag so won't say any more. Really is a great film and one I can always count on being up for when I can't decide what I want to watch. The 1 point missing is due to the CGI, when they are on the lighthouse it really is pretty poor and is the only let down for me in an otherwise superb production.
  10. American Beauty 6/10 First time. Wanted to see it for a while and thought it was going to be amazing after all the hype I'd read from the reviews. In the end I thought it was pretty meh really. Basically a guy having a mid-life crisis and becomes infatuated with a young girl. Spacey plays the role really well though which boosts the scoring, other than that I won't be rushing out to buy it any time soon.

    South Park

Personally if I see these 2 programmes on at the same time I'll opt for Family Guy - reason being that Family Guy has a sh%tload more irrelevant side jokes whereas South Park has a main story generally and the jokes revolve around that. I like South Park but that is my reason for choosing Family Guy.
  12. John Hughes. Maybe he'd have brought in some players that weren't scared to go into opposition territory.
  13. Agree with what you say, the trouble is that I don't think we have a squad that could get us out of the 2nd straight away. With the exception of a few players division 2 is probably the level of our squad, but in a mid-table team!
  14. It's a pity he doesn't get his players to do that on the field
  15. What happens to a bullet when a gun is fired into the air? Does it leave the earth's atmosphere or does it disintegrate on it's way back down? I just have this vision of some guy walking along the street getting hit by a bullet from the sky
  16. Lets be realistic Northfield, I doubt we could afford any Rangers' player's wages, and if we could it would be one at the bottom of the food chain. I think the Administrator will likely be getting rid of the players on the highest wages first?
  17. Same thing happened to me, but a little worse. I was stripping woodchip off the ceiling (there's one, who the f*ck puts woodchip on a ceiling?!) and there was a massive crack in the plaster, it was moving when I pushed it but just left alone. About 20 minutes in I'm up the ladder and all of a sh*tload of plaster comes crashing down, about half a foot away from me. I phone the council (wednesday) and explain, the woman gets back to me and says they cannot get out until friday, I tell her she doesn't understand that my ceiling has collapsed and that they need to get someone out asap so the rest doesn't come down. Someone then magically comes within minutes to have a look. As a result of this delay in moving in, we fall behind by a week's rent, no sooner had we missed the week, we get a letter telling us we are behind. Yes, you're slow to get people out to help, but the minute we don't hold up our end of the bargain you're quick enough to get in f*ck*ng contact Arseholes!
  18. Day of the Dead Considering the year it was out I'd probably give it a solid 7/10. Decent gore and although it looks pretty gash nowadays, it would likely have been quite effective back then. Some quite hilarious moments as well. You have to love Romero and his zombie flicks.

    Suits

Louis? Yeah he's good. I remember him for a short role in Hostel. Creepy actor, but plays it well. Reminds me of Bugs Bunny when he smiles

    Suits

On Dave. I saw the trailor a while back and thought it looked decent. I have watched the first 2 episodes and am totally hooked! It can take me a while to "get on" with characters, but I have liked everyone so far, in their respective roles. Anyone else into this then, or has it slid under the radar due to the channel it's on? (I was shocked DAVE got it tbh)
  21. I've got a mental craving for Batman Arkham Asylum, either on Xbox or PS3, don't have a wide selection to swap unfortunately, just Assasin's Creed 2 or Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, the others aren't really of the same quality as Batman, Cheers.
  22. Brannigan rarely played Weatherston, I don't think that has anything to do with hearsay just an obvious observation. I wasn't slating Brannigan anyway, it was more pointing out that he was respected for giving his all even when it was clear that he wasn't in the manager's plans
  23. He has incredible pace and that's easily his best trait. His control is poor, he doesn't have a football brain, he has no composure - I'd imagine if it was possible to got through his goals, most of them would have been quick shots where he didn't have time to think about what he was doing, can't header, generally blowing out his arse after a short period of time. He did give effort though and certaintly never went in a huff as previously stated, I think the poster got confused with McLaren there. He would be a good squad player as his pace is worth having him alone. He is easily more effective coming on after 70 minutes as his pace can destroy tiring defences. I don't know how big a squad Falkirk will have next season, but if it's going to be small then Weatherston isn't really a luxury that can be afforded. I won't be fearful of him next term, I can't recall him doing much damage against us when he was at Saints. A good kick from a centre-half early on will do the trick though as he is also a bit of a sh*tbag. Having slated him, fair play to the guy for sticking around for so long, he wasn't best treated by Brannigan for whatever reason and certainly gave his all when he got a chance, he gained a lot more supporters I felt as a result of that, but that shouldn't cloud people's vision on his poor footballing abilities.
  24. That can't be true, Chisholm and Brannigan are far too good not to be in a management job I would say the signing of Brighton is 'risky'. If he remains fit I think he will be a decent addition and will hopefully link up well with Smith. Should be better to judge after Saturday against a team at our level, I wouldn't read too much into his performance against Gretna. Hopfully the full pre-season will have done him good.
