  1. Good win for the Fife but a far from dominant performance. Elgin looked good in posession and we lost the midfield in the second half, couldn't begrudge them their goal. Both goalkeepers made some decent saves but when Fash has the knack of being in the right place and we have Healy + Nicol setting him up, things look promising . Next two games will be difficult, but not a bad four days for us
  2. Watching Paul Thomson' s interview he hinted midfield would be freshened up tonight after Saturdays efforts. I would guess at McManus in for Millar, Philp for Trouten and Schiv for Nicol. Murdoch was missing Saturday, maybe working or suspended. If available he might replace Docherty who was playing with a knock. Hope Fash starts, heard a whisper he wasn't 100% fit on Saturday.
  3. Some clubs have spent small fortunes upgrading facilities and keep them maintained but that's not something I would expect a Clyde supporter to understand.
  4. New Dundas Park certainly needs toilets built, the "Portaloos" were disgusting.
  5. Rode our luck a bit at times but that's cup football. Thought we stood off QP too much in 1st half, Paul seemed to push them a bit further up 2nd half and we were in their faces more. Docherty looked good 2nd half, thought Walls was good but all players deserve praise! Whats up with Greig ? On holiday maybe ?
  6. That's one big squad...what does the A designate?
  7. So the competitive action starts on Saturday. My team to face Queens Park : --------------Fleming------------- Murdoch----Page-----Easton----Newton Nicol-------McManus---Walls----Healy ---------Austin------Shepherd---------
  8. He's been round the bottom half of league 2 before many times, should fit in well at the rose !
  9. Your guy Watson was flying in also to be fair.
  10. We won't face teams like Rovers every week, you were stronger and faster with more quality, fair dues, while our organisation was good. Jack can be a bit hot-headed at times and he needs to work on that.
  11. Chose us over Cowdenbeath...the lad is showing good sense already !
  12. Would reckon it would be the two trialists Alfie Robinson & Sean Docherty. Could be wrong though !
  13. As things stand would expect our defence to line up Fleming Philp Murdoch Page Newton Pagey had a few moments last night and if we sign Robinson and/or the right back would be back up.
  14. Yes especially Ferguson who is a great talent, last loanee who impressed this way was Jason Kerr. Hopefully we are aiming again for the playoffs, we deffinetly won't win the league !
  15. Your guys looked well.organised and had good energy, you should have a better season than last but you look a bit short on numbers. We had a few missing from defence + trialsts, the 2nd half line-up was more familiar.
  16. Wasn't a great spectacle, Cowdenbeath showed good energy without much end product while our lineup was very disjointed in first half but better in second after the changes. Liked the look of Gregor Nicol, looks comfortable with both feet and has pace. Think Murdoch and Philp will settle the defence down a bit . Trialist Robinson maybe tried a bit too hard to impress and needs to concentrate on the simple stuff while the right back showed some good touches.
  17. Darren Watson ex Dundee Utd was on loan at us season before last.
  18. He was always a good player, I remember him at Berwick. Noticeable when he was injured last season you struggled for results.
  19. Noticed Brogan Walls wasn't involved much over the last week, was he playing today ?
  20. Talk about an over reaction. We finished 4th last season and we've arguably strenghthed that team. The lad was actually a Queens Park player on loan and he played a trial against an EOS side, that's what these matches are for, looking to uncover a young gem !
  21. Home shirt is really smart, obviously I'm a sucker for black & gold stripes
