Would he get a game in front of howie tho judge? Howie is a class act. Hopefully still be at ek next season as i would imagine there will be a few clubs having a look at him.Agreed that Howie is indeed a class act and so reliable, especially for someone that came into the team so young, but one thing we don't really seem to have much of is an attacking threat from corners and the ability to defend against attacking threats at corners. Both of Cove's goals in the game at EK stemmed from that fact.

Can I offer a belated congratulations on staying up. I always enjoy the seethe Accie's survival causes. Pity it wasn't led by Canning as that also caused a kind of seethe amongst some Accies.
..and aided by Dougie Imrie who seems to cause big seethe amongst fans of all clubs.

I know that Boyata didn't play after the group stages at the 2018 World Cup but whilst he was there he must have looked at the players around him and noticed that almost all were playing for big clubs in the biggest leagues and presumably earning between 5 and 15 times more than him.
At 28 (29 in November) this is very possibly his last chance for a lucrative long term deal. His time in Glasgow was good for both sides and I hope he does well in Germany.

Check in here every day looking for the exciting signing news. Same result each time.
Florida break must be soon, hope there’s a few diamonds lined up.
Suppose the season isn’t over yet, but always impresses me when clubs do their business early.
Going to be more difficult to get top players without the lure of European football.

Sensational season for Kilmarnock. To finish 3rd ahead of Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts is just a phenomenal result. Enjoy your night boys and girls

Congratulations to Cove, thoroughly deserved.

No harm to Annan but personally I'm happier that the team that finished runners-up to the champions have gained promotion ahead of the team that finished a distant 4th.

East Kilbirde star Sean Winter feels like he's achieved nothing after playoff defeat
- 10 MAY 2019
Sean Winter insists it feels like he’s achieved nothing at East Kilbride after they came up short in the SPFL play-offs once again.
Kilby were this season bidding to banish the pain of their penalty shootout defeat to Cowdenbeath two years ago, but on Saturday they were brushed aside by Highland champions Cove Rangers in the second leg of their play-off semi-final.They lost 3-0 in Aberdeen and 5-1 on aggregate, leaving them staring at a seventh successive season in the Lowland League.
Despite Winter winning two league titles, and countless cups during four campaigns with the club, he said: “It still feels like I’ve achieved nothing.
“It’s all about promotion in this league and when you don’t get that it’s tough to take. We know the setup, we know how it works, but when you put all that effort in to winning a league and then you fall at the play-offs, it’s like it’s all been for nothing.
“I’m still devastated. "I've won two leagues in four seasons and we finished second last year as well.
"It's been a frustrating season for me. I've had a few injuries and when I came back I found it hard to get back in the side because we kept winning games.
“It's hard to take and now we’ve got a full year to go before we can hope to try again.
"But it’s going to be difficult. The league is getting better every season. We just have to give it our best and go again.”

This Berwick side are by some way the shittest SPFL side since the pyramid play-off was introduced.
And they still managed to beat the eventual league champions to nil only 7 weeks ago.

Of course it is. However, we cannot afford to splash the cash. When we do well, it is usually with someone at the start of their managerial career who makes some shrewd signings.
As it should be but you must've banked a few quid from your 4th round Scottish Cup adventure this season?

If they splash the cash, I am sure they can challenge at the top next season, otherwise I would expect them to be in the top half.
Cowdenbeath finished 6th (4 points off the top half) so I guess the same is true for you if you 'splash the cash'?

Another one not looking at the stark reality of this.
We don’t get out of the LL by year two then the cash in the bank is gone. We’ll have zero to play with. This is a certainty by year 3. The running costs of our ground alone are huge and our costs by then will be far outstripping our income. It is already and that’s with the payments from the league, we’ll have no parachute payment by then.
This is real and too many supporters aren’t realising the position we are now in. Massively behind the 8 ball to attract players that will be able to get us out. Costs that won’t go away and dwindling income from gates, sponsors and league.
It’s not a mix that points to us being healthy unless we get out of the LL fast. Also remember it’s not just a case of winning the league there’s then 4 matches to get past to get back up.
Let’s be honest, the club has survived over the last 20 years by luck, money from plumb cup ties and tv cash allowing it to keep money in the bank. That opportunity of rolling the dice and getting lucky will also disappear too.
It's only OVER if you let it be OVER. Reduce your costs where possible, work hard at building an a competitive, attractive team with the funds you have. Enjoy competing in a league where your main aim isn't just avoiding last place. See some new grounds, meet some new fans and you'll find there is more to life than league 2. You might still manage to land some cup ties.

All the talk of Cove mounting a play off challenge in league two next season is surely on the proviso that they sign a shit load of players? I had a look at the line up yesterday and, Megginson aside, it didn't scream league two challengers to me. Jordon Brown has scored about twenty goals for them this season for f**k sake! Maybe the Highland League is actually quite poor.
I had a look at Kilmarnock's squad at the start of the season and it didn't scream Top 3 to me. I had a look at Falkirk's squad at the start of the season and it didn't scream 10th place in The Championshiop to me. I even had a look at Tottenham's squad at the start of the season and it didn't scream Champions League finalists to me.
Sometimes football can be a funny game and isn't won on paper or via a spreadsheet.
