  1. John Dempster was our goalscorer. Obviously Pars had better players but the fitness was the telling factor between the two sides that day.
  2. As much as I expect us to be turned over comprehensively against Rangers, the big thing we have in our favour is that we'll be set up exactly like we play in league games. It'll be a deep, 5 at the back without the ball formation and look to counter. It won't be an alien system, albeit the opposition will be vastly sharper and better than what we're used to. A 0-0 or 1-1 is the best I think we can hope for.
  3. Every time Markus got the ball it was exciting. He was a total cut above anyone else in the 3rd division. Greg definitely did it against better opposition though. Without doubt improved a lot with full time training too. I remember his first time in a Cowden shirt as a sub in the 2-1 game at Dunfermline. He barely looked like he could run. What a turnaround.
  4. Magic news regarding Allan. He's a very important player for us. Scullion signing was utterly baffling.
  5. Massive waste of talent. Yet another young boy thinking he's made it at a very young age and stopped working hard.
  6. Absolutely agree regarding Sheerin. Renton, for as hard as he works, doesn't offer much end product. Sheerin is by some distance, our best finisher.
  7. Dundee supporters seem to rate him highly. Was Jordan Allan not signed permanently?
  8. Pyper was excellent I have to say to be fair. Won everything that was thrown at him. Lacks the talent and composure of Deas but an adequate back up as happened on Saturday.
  9. Is it Barry Ferguson? Play with us every other game while standing in the dugout at Kelty the others?
  10. This. Claiming we should get the terracing and jobs for the boys were particular highlights among some of the verbal diarrhoea being spouted. A quick check of a few profiles unearthed some rather colourful flags too. Some folk are simply too thick to see the bigger picture unfortunately.
  11. It may not change anything in the short term, but the more voices that are heard SHOULD make it harder for it to be acceptable to employ a convicted paedophile in a football club. Kelty Hearts should be equally appalled.
  12. For as mental as YOLT comes across, he does have a point. Criag Thompson should never be allowed anywhere near a spectator sport.
  13. You literally can't please everyone. I despair. There are plenty diehards that'll lose out - that's clearly where the extra tickets per initiative is aimed.
  14. I see there already unhappy people regarding the ticket situation for the Rangers game. In my opinion, the board have got it bang on. Someone who goes every week but not a part of any of the schemes required to get a ticket is not any more or less a supporter than someone who is a part of the various schemes. It would appear it is simply a reward for those who are contributing the most financially to the club. It also minimises the likelihood of Rangers supporters without the bus fare getting a ticket in the home end - which may have seen plenty people not part of the initiatives lose out anyway!
  15. Any streams for Whyte Chisora? Really want to watch but don't have Sky.
  16. Again, another player I think we got to see the best of. When he was in the mood he was a joy to watch. Wonder where he is now.
  17. Just showed how important they were to us. The two of them were simply a cut above anyone else we had in that squad. To think Rangers allowed us to have Hemmings and replace him with overpaid shit. The Brechin away game in the playoff final would have been good footage too. Someone must still have it recorded on Alba?
  18. Managed to get through those videos. What memories of not too distant past. That 3-4 game at Stirling was incredible, literally do remember like it was yesterday. As a diddy team supporter, it's times like those that make it worth it. It might not be beating Barca in the Champions League but it's as good as for supporters of sides that generally job it around in the lower leagues without much to celebrate. I genuinely hope all the sides in league 2 get a taste of that somewhere along the line. Apart from Berwick, they can GTF.
  19. Don't disagree with us getting the new stand only. I assume this will keep policing costs to a minimum, as well as the amount of Rangers fans without bus fare in the home end.
  20. Coult was an utter nutjob who was adored by the supporters. Perhaps we seen the best of him - he wasn't the most gifted player but fit in well at us, plus he never gave any less than 100%.
  21. Anyone able to shed any light on how Ryan Connelly is doing?
  22. The reason I suggested both games as an option is incase one is postponed. Anyway, on paper the new signing should be a good addition and hopefully has a bit of pace. Bit surprised that he's not been snapped up by someone else though especially after also being back at Airdrie on loan.
  23. Just thinking about the Rangers game and maximising revenue, would it be possible that if we nominate a game (thinking Edinburgh City 22nd Dec or Berwick 5th Jan or both?) that any non season ticket holders turning up would guarantee themselves a ticket for the Rangers game? This would maybe get in a significant amount more punters than would for either or both games and in turn a lot more money in what is likely to be an expensive time of the year for any lower league club.
  24. I've not read the sun in years but if all this is true, it's bang out of order. Sure hope DF has already questioned these comments.
  25. Apart from the fact he's pretty much right, that's absolutely unacceptable. What a tit.
