  1. Yep, Tesco take the money before the game is out, they certainly did when I pre ordered last year.
  2. If they manage to pull this off without any major problems I will be absolutely delighted. Will mean I don't need to bother with a next gen console for a good while yet.
  3. Nope, I've seen some gameplay and I think I could get into it, but it's purely because I fancied playing the earlier fallout games.
  4. What's fallout 2 like? I've always wanted to buy the earlier fallout games purely for the added history of the fallout universe, but is it fun to play?
  5. I don't think I have you on steam, Mr. X, so if you or wisbit are ever interested in a few games, send me a message! It's worth playing the vanilla game before going for mods as it's really good on its own, but it increases massively when using mods as the number of new units is massive. It's interesting to see a lot of stuff from the Star Wars universe that isn't in the films too.
  6. It's definitely worth a play, with Forces of Corruption, there are a couple of excellent mods that are particularly good if you're much of a Star Wars geek.
  7. I play RTS games quite a lot, albeit I've never played them against human opponents so likely my method of play is terrible when pitted against decent players. I've got a few games on Steam just now if you look at my games list, I also have Star Wars:Empire at War which is a beautiful game. Anyone else got that one?
  8. I've been on Steam for years, but the few pc games that I've played a massive amount of aren't games I have on Steam. I've went a bit mad in the sale though, so that will need to change!
  9. My name is Turbo_Dee if anyone would like to add me, the majority of my friends have never played a game on the pc before so I've quite a barren friends list!
  10. I kinda like the look of The Witcher 2 and Chivalry 2. Anyone played these? Worth buying?
  11. Yeah, I also managed to benefit in time from this. I'll be a recluse when it's realised, that's for sure.
  12. Quite good that they aren't going for white, British actors. I'm hoping they really put emphasis on the difference between Dorne and the rest of the seven kingdoms..
  13. I wasn't aware of such a mod, where would I go about finding more information? Sounds terrific!
  14. Is there any way to have a GIF image as the desktop background? After a quick search on the internet it seems that I can't. Not sure why that wouldn't be possible. Anybody know?
  15. I lost consecutive games on UT last night. this has never happened to me before.
  16. Got it a while ago off Amazon, it's fucking magic. It focuses far less on the warfare side of things and more on political agendas and negotiations, etc. As you can imagine this suits a mod focusing on the intricacies of the world of ice and fire, and it does deliver. It's not completely finished yet either but it's very well done and ambitious. It's not a game that you can really pick up whenever you have a spare half hour as it requires full attention as it's easy to immerse yourself in. Perfect for those days in the house off work when you can't be bothered doing anything worthwhile.
  17. I went through the range of emotions the other day during one game. I was beating someone 1-0 for most of the game, as I scored fairly early. I completely dominated but failed to score due to my poor finishing and being unlucky with passes, weird bounces of the ball and goalkeeping heroics from Julio Cesar in the goal. This continued for most of the game, until the 83rd minute when he chanced a shot from at least 30 yards from David Luiz, it obviously flew straight into the top corner. My reaction was a simple 'aww, f**k off', so not to bad. He then scored his second from a near enough identical position after I had lost the ball during an attack. Another absolute screamer with my defenders unable to block the shot. This time he decided to run about and make his player 'shh' me before stopping at the corner flag to cup his hand to his ear. 'No fucking way, you complete fucking arsehole. This game is a fucking joke', which is pretty much my standard reaction when I'm feeling hard done by. Then my luck changed. I went up the park after setting up to go ultra attacking, and managed to equalise in the 90th minute. I felt weird as I was pissed off that I wasn't winning, annoyed as I thought it was too late, as well as determined and happy that the other guy wasn't getting all three points. However, deep into injury time, Stefan Jovetic played a magical one two with Palacio before skinning the last defender which seemed to take him too wide, the angle was outrageously tight. I thought f**k it, and took a tiny touch to steady myself and direct my body towards goal before rifling an unstoppable right foot shot into the far top corner with ferocious power. I screamed. Nothing has ever felt more satisfying on this game than my celebration as I copied my opponent before watching every replay. I continued to sigh with relief and pleasure and mutter 'yass' to myself for at least ten minutes afterwards with a massive smile on my face. Fifa: serious business.
  18. Another book spoiler, folks. I thought that episode was good, it did pretty much everything it needed to do to set up next seasons main characters and the upcoming events. We're going to see even more character changes too. Jaime, Theon and Arya are the obvious ones, as they've already started their progression, but we'll see even more interesting interactions and intrigue. What do people think will happen next season? What do you all hope to happen? It could be interesting discussion to tide us over, but obviously book spoilers should be marked as such. I'm just interested in how people see things from the perspective of the tv audience. As a side point, there seems to be far less emotion about what the Freys did to Robb Stark's body than I thought their would be.
  19. Yeah, I didn't get in. My ID is usually fine in there as well, but it's not a driving license so it seems to attract extra scrutiny. I'm pretty sure I ended up walking home, after a brief stop at Clark's so it wasn't all bad. Until next time!
  20. Bumped into TRS last night. I was however quite drunk and can't remember our exchange.
  21. Absolutely. I don't want to spoil fun for anyone, so I'll always say if what is in my spoiler is a book spoiler and won't post about an episode until after it airs in the UK. I still remember the impact the Red Wedding scene had on me when I was reading the books, so I'm quite jealous that people are getting that feeling for the first time. There has been subtle, and not so subtle, warnings all season. Then again, the book had even more and I was still shocked when it actually happened. There was even a pretty much literal prophecy of the Red Wedding from a character that hasn't featured so far!
  22. I did predict that people would lose their shit when the Red Wedding takes place. If the people saying that they will boycott actually do so, they're fucking retards. I would have hoped an episode like that would draw people in, how can you give up after seeing all of your favourite characters slaughtered? I was pissed off when reading the books, as the Starks are my favourite house, although Jon isn't played so well in the adaptation. However, that made me keep reading because my feelings for pretty much every faction intensified in some way. It's definitely a good thing to have characters that can die at any time, no matter how significant they are. It's been obvious since Ned Stark was killed. BOOK SPOILERS! BOOK SPOILERS! I assume we're fine to post about this episode since it has now aired?
