  1. I'm up for work in three and a half hours, but I cannot sleep. Extremely nervous, bracing myself for disappointment, but I won't give up hope until/if it becomes physically impossible.
  2. Really excited to play these remakes, Hoenn is my favourite region by far.
  3. It's then facial expression that gets me!
  4. I've still not completed the story mode of it yet, engaging as it is, requires a deal of grinding as the wild pokemon are so weak compared to trainers and gym leaders. I chose Baltoy as my starter, although I'm not sure it was the best choice as the movepool at the moment isn't great. Incidentally, do you play ROM hacks a lot? What else would you recommend playing?
  5. Yeah, the hacks tend to make the games much more challenging. A few of the ones I've played increases the difference in levels between wild pokemon and trainers in the same areas and you come up against trainers that have pokemon that work well together and are difficult to get past. I played a hack that was set in a post zombie apocalypse, set in Hoenn. As soon as you get past the forest past Rustboro, I forget its name, there's a Pikachu head on a stick.
  6. Has anybody ever played any Pokémon ROM hacks? It's quite interesting to experience a completely new story/region, but if some people are put off playing on the PC, it's maybe not for them. Keeps things quite refreshing and some of them are actually really well done with more adult elements included, such as harder puzzles, humour and references that the creator has put in.
  7. Always been quite surprised that the earlier Pokémon games haven't been made available on the Nintendo e-shop, imagine it would generate a fair bit of money. A good amount of earlier Zelda, Mario and Kirby games are there, so it's surprising not to have perhaps the generation I and II games available. Has there been any talk about them being put up at a later date?
  8. I'm not sure if a thread purely on the book part of the series would prove that popular, but if people continue posting spoilers then maybe it should happen. Personally, I don't see what is so hard about posting aspects from the book in a spoiler tag and making it extremely clear that it's discussion of the book. Some people get off on posting spoilers, which I've always found strange.
  9. After being told by management at work that we would only be required to work one of boxing day and new years day, I've been put on the rota to work both, as well as Christmas Eve when I'm normally off on a Tuesday. Just pish.
  10. Daejeon Citizens. Kinda resigned myself to the fact that there is no chance of me getting it, which is possibly a good thing as I don't think their kits are great. Was also considering Urawa from Japan, but that looks like it would be far too expensive anyway.
  11. I'm looking to buy a football top for a mates Christmas, the problem being it's a south Korean club. I'm on their official website and I'm navigating it as best as possible, but I'm wondering if there is a better website I could be using, in English. My other concern being, will it arrive in time for Christmas if it has to be shipped from Korea? Ideally what I'm looking for is a site where I can buy foreign tops, that will deliver in time for Christmas and that people trust so I don't end up out of pocket. Anyone have any experience?
  12. So, gents, Dragon age: Origins - Ultimate Edition is currently at 75% off. Worth a fiver?
  13. That should be Pyke for the Iron Islands.
  14. It depends on which region you're born in. Snow if you're born in the North, Rivers for the River lands, Waters for King's Landing, Pyle for the Iron Islands, Stone for the Vale, Flowers for the Reach, Hill for the Westerlands, Storm for the Stormlands and Sand if you're born in Dorne. It's why King Robert has b*****d children with different surnames for the kingdom in which they were raised.
  15. Anyone that hasn't already done so needs to read the 'Full time mummy brigade' thread. Scenes.
  16. I've been playing this, enjoying it so far. Got bored with the last generation games quite quickly, but my interest is being held by this one so far. Haven't really decided who I want in my team, as I'm trying to use as many of the new pokemon as I can. Chose the grass starter, I've mainly been spending my time catching and training to see who I want in my team before I move on to the second gym. The new way the EXP share works is brilliant.
  17. Yep, it's a good thing to read. Have to admit, I can't really comprehend some of these feelings myself, so it gives me a better understanding of depression than I would have normally. I find it's quite a hard thing to speak about openly in person, which I suppose is part of the problem for people seeking help. Good work in here, folks.
  18. I'm gonna go have a good catch up and see what these new games are up to. I've had a period where I've not really played pokemon or bothered at all about it.
  19. I haven't completed story mode yet, but I imagine it will get dlc at some point down the line.
  20. Seems that I've spoken too soon and my character has been deleted, and I'm now facing the same problems as before. It was fun while it lasted!
  21. Am I the only one that made their character female? Got a pretty stunning character, if it has actually saved it, of course!
  22. I've not managed to get it working yet either, will have another bash at it tonight.
  23. What does everyone think of the micro transactions being used for the online mode? Not a fan of them at all.
  24. Just had to walk up mount chilliad as the first cyclist I tried to shoot knocked me over and after shooting the second one his bike gathered just enough pace to escape my clutches before skidding down the mountain on its side and flying through the air and out of sight after going off a steep cliff. b*****ds!
