It was a fund started by our fans as opposed to the board asking for the money. Football isn't like other industries: this pandemic just emphasises it. People will spend a few hundred on a season ticket and yet still donate unquestioningly because of the emotional attachment. Everyone wants the best for their clubs.
The situation is, of course, a complete farce. There have been a lot of folk on twitter stating they hope go bust which is disgusting. We're in a rather strange position where had we voted for the league not to end, and for reconstruction we'd still be in there position where we'd likely have ended up in court anyway. There are aspects where our board have communicated poorly but still in our interests. We didn't vote for reconstruction as it was rushed, but ultimately it was top flight teams who vetoed
Our chairman has said there's been a good response from other clubs. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if some clubs publicly come out and denounce it before sending us some money. Obviously Falkirk's response is understandable. Another poster touched on the compensation which could be a key factor in why clubs may support us.
It wasn't too long ago Budge was talking about too many senior teams in Scottish football. I don't think we'll have many fans from your average support, but even then I'm confident that the fan bases of ourselves, united and cove will still do their part as shown with the funds already raised on the Tynecastle to Tannadice walk.On the other side if The Jambos and PT win compo Clubs like Falkirk Stranraer and others will be green lighted to seek compo precedent having been set

I could not be more bored of this saga. I wish every club would fucking stop crying and deal with the hand you've been dealt. Everyone's in a tough situation, get on with it.
So you are happy that clubs gaining a boost to resources from promotion are putting out the begging bowl Nope they have decide to fight they pick up the bill

Can't help thinking if the season had just been voided, we wouldn't have any of this. Yes there would be winners & losers (or, if we'd held off longer, we could've played it out).
What do people make of the above 3 wanting Premiership clubs to pay £5000 each, Championship £2000 each & league 1 & 2 clubs to pay £1000 each towards their legal fees?
Surely those 3 clubs are the ones who'll gain financially from promotion, yet, they want us to foot the bill?
Do they have a cheek asking, or, in clubbing together are we fighting a bigger evil of stopping Hearts & Partick trying to avoid relegation, due to having bigger, more expensive legal teams?
As I see the clubs that chose this fight should foot the bill Why should my club lose financially to three clubs gaining the most No if the go bust because they picked this hill to die on so be it

Still not a dictatorship.
Your right it's a Duopoly sustained by sycophantic self interested self preservation leech in charge of most if not all clubs

Yet your complaints only reach a public forum when Falkirk are denied promotion due to it. I don't remember reading any complaints from Falkirk fans on the voting structure this whole summer and we've had more votes than I care to remember.
Then you aren't looking very hard Falkirk Fans have been complaining about the voting structures in scottish football for years

They (Falkirk) didnt even deserve a play off spot.. Dont know what their complaining about, Oah sorry i do they wanted to get promoted along with every team right down to Dumbarton , Yeah that was a fair way and relegate Clyde who finished 7th and save Hearts and Thistle who rightly will get relegated for having the most defeats n so on...
Yeah the team in second by a point best GD by a mile doesn't deserve a play off spot by that logic Raith should not get the title. Utter Tripe from someone who watches a team whose only ambition is to stay afloat at any cost including morals.

It has been an exercise in BS from the start the top tier have no interest in expansion It always been about them and some clubs in ever other division have been conned or have been stupid enough to put self before the good of the game

Funding the NHS has to take precedent over any other business at this time If Football clubs go to the wall It will be board and fans who will save or sink them.

So after today we are down to a bare bones squad if not a squad unable to fill the bench. This could be a deciding moment in how the season pans out

Ah, an Express weather SHOCK headline.
Absolute rag.
Being rather generous calling the Express a rag wouldn't waste my excrement on it Back to the game 0-0 or an absolute hammering for one of the teams

I Just hope we can keep everyone fit with a squad size of 19 it will only take two injuries or suspension and we have an incomplete bench with possible players having to fill in roles unfamiliar to them

Look on the bright side you ain't at the point Bury fans are at their club has weeks left to sort it's problems out or they are kicked out of the league.

Play with the same intensity and ruthlessness in front of goals as last Saturday and we should win by a couple of goals. However if we drop that intensity and lose the sharpness we will struggle.

Decent right back, part of our 40+ undefeated side. Probably on the wane now but he'd do a job at that level.
Good engine on him, decent crosser from memory.
Thanks
