He's gone Bye Sibbs but in all honesty his head would have been all over the place if we had forced him to stay. His performance level would in all likely-hood have dropped much like it did last season. This is probably best for both sides

There are younger and with more sell on value available on free transfers down south PH has used that pool of players to great effect before.

Two wages out and £200k in. Will we see further signings at Westfield. Rumours of of the Young Celtic keeper coming on loan but we still need a another option up front and a ball winning midfielder.

I think you will find most of us considered Rankin a good squad signing but not as a direct replacement for Will Vaulks The same would be true of Harkins I suspect though that Hamilton will get their man.

If as rumoured the fee was in the region of 425000 then i think we may have a couple of more signings to come Rankin will be on no more than Will was so two free transfers with some of the cash being used for wages.

Firstly let me say Good Luck Will came here to prove you were able to cut it and did played for hee haw and became a Falkirk Hero. Now PH has to find a replacement to me John Rankin is a good squad player and handy for coming of the bench. Ideally I would like Houstie to gamble on two or three untested youngsters from outwith Scotland on frees signed on 12 month contracts if they come good brill if not bye bye no loss apart from wages which I would cap at £500pw.

Getting back to what started this a 6 figure bid was made It was rejected. The clubs who have been mentioned are Burnley, Blackburn, Huddersfield and Doncaster of those it is likely to be Blackburn who are trying to rebuild on a very tight budget. (In a English League Sense) So the low £100000s when Falkirk will be looking for £250000+
