  1. Judging by your signature, it would seem that it's not uncommon for you to notice such things.
  2. I thought the Stacey bi-polar storyline was one of the best I've ever seen in any soap. I also thought it was some of the best acting I've seen in a soap. It was really, really believable. Quite distressing too. You don't get that sort of thing on Corrie, IMO!
  3. Funny looking people actually tend to spawn cute offspring. Sorry Adam.
  4. He has to be the cutest baby I've ever seen. The hair is great!
  5. My friend with all of the kids () really opened my eyes to recycling in that respect. She even kept clothes from her first two children, which she is now using on the fourth. When I visited her shortly after the birth, the two sofa's in the formal sitting room were covered in gifts. She had a pile she was keeping, and a pile she was taking back to the shop. Everyone had bought the same age! Incidentally, two of my colleagues at work are pregnant and will be due around the same time. There are only seven of us that work in the department, and now I am the only one without children. All I hear all day is baby/kid talk. Hence why I've found this thread. I feel more at home here than anywhere else.
  6. If you can afford to, and want to, then I don't see any reason why you shouldn't spend lots of money on him. If you plan to have any more, it'll (hopefully ) all be reused anyway.
  7. I am only 22. I have plenty of things I'd like to do before that! If she wants more, let her have them!
  8. She was great, but I am not used to carrying babies and my arms were sore for a solid two days afterward. She has three other kids, the eldest is six and she was at school. The next is four and she was at nursery for half of the day. The only boy is two and a half, and just started potty training. He came over to tell us he'd done a poo in his pants. We actually told him to tell us when he needed a poo, not once he'd done it. They're all great, but I'd have my hands full with the baby. I don't know how she does it. Incidentally, I read your comment about people disapproving of you still feeding your baby. Said friend was still feeding the boy until she was well into her pregnancy with her fourth.
  9. My friends baby is seven months old, and although not crawling yet, she drags herself along the ground at quite a speed and can cover some distance if you don't keep your eye on her. It's quite cute, really. I was visiting last week and got the duty of feeding her lunch. I'd never fed a baby before. She kept closing her mouth before the spoon was inside. She sucks her index and middle fingers almost constantly, and after every mouthful, she'd stick her fingers back into her mouth. Awww. Sweet.
  10. So many cynical people. Not University, but I start college next Friday. Studying Maths, Physics and Human Biology in order to eventually apply for Optometry. And a full time job to boot.
  11. I know plenty of relationships that have survived University, without lapse.
  12. You should never look for that sort of advice from any men on this forum. If you want it to work, do what it takes to make it work. That means communication, keep in touch with her. A few texts a day, a phone call maybe and get home as often as you can.
  13. I have to agree. Firstly, I cannot believe someone would spend that much money on accommodation for a holiday and believe you could have a great holiday with good accommodation for much less. Secondly, I cannot believe someone would boast about spending that much money on accommodation for a holiday.
  14. Probably a ridiculous question, but I am not all that familiar with University age ranges. Are you at all concerned about going to University at the age of 22 and after having dropped out once? I've never been to University, but I did leave higher education when I was 18 and have been working ever since. I am about to turn 22 and am hoping to get back into it.
  15. I finally got to meet my friends newborn daughter yesterday. Everything was fine and auntie Samantha was enjoying bonding with the little one until she screwed up her face and started to cry very loudly. As soon as she screwed up her little face I knew she was going to do that. I instantly handed her to mum and that was that. It is one of the most awful sounds. I guess it's different when they are your own but I hate it when you're holding a baby and it starts to cry. It just completely ruins the moment.
  16. Were you thinking she was my age with four kids?
  17. My good friend just gave birth to her fourth baby - a little girl. She already had two girls aged 5 and 3 and a little boy aged 18 months. She told me she didn't think she was going to have any more in March and she came into work one day a couple of months later and told me the news that she was expecting. She gave birth to the new arrival at home a couple of weeks ago. I haven't been able to get time off work until Monday 9th of February to go and visit them - but I'm hopelessly excited
  18. I got mine literally within a few days. I passed my test at the end of October 2005. Three years! I'm fairly sure I can now teach other people. Not that I will, of course.
  19. Did I read right today that the reason police didn't release these e-fits and instead released that photo above, and a photo of a head with hair but no face is because they were scared of breaking some sort of Portugese law about privacy or secrecy, or that it might eventually harm the case? I can't remember the full details but it was in one of todays papers and seemed pretty stupid.
  20. Some of Murrays play was outrageous. I think Nadal will be too good though.
  21. Indeed, another thing that a lot of people don't know or indeed understand. They think it's a store policy, it's not. It's Scottish licensing laws that prevent us from selling alcohol after/before certain times on certain days.
