I’m with Ludo - Pageaud was fucking magic. Driving through France over the years I’ve been tempted to track him down. I loved the guy - but his debut was horrendous.
Thinking about this a bit. We’ve had some good left backs down the years but Tosher was bloody brilliant. He’s very close to being my ‘Scottish’ player in such a team. A wand of a left foot.
Stay safe Dees and avoid the Merlin.

    What a guy:

    Next manager IMO.

  3. Losing to Taker 3 times at Mania isn't giving anyone a rub. It's inserting himself into the biggest match in Mania for his own ego.

To be fair to him, he put on an absolute show in the 2 latter matches. Can't remember much of the first.

  4. I don't know of any pubs in Dundee that are open. There's been a suggestion on Twitter that a few are doing lock-ins but when pressed, the people mooring this don't know the pubs in question.

Gonna be difficult to monitor such behaviour without a complete lockdown, which won't happen.

  5. Pageaud being on the bench for Letheren is the travesty of a lifetime.

Letheren could produce wonderful saves from time to time but wasn't really near good enough to be starting in the top flight.

Pageaud loved a flashy save and wasn't immune from howlers, but gloves aff for penalties, and just a top notch keeper.

  6. Australia is our quickest hope of getting over this. Posted a link on how they'd destroyed the disease with existing drugs a few pages back (Using a HIV medication and a now defunct Malaria medication). We know the side effects of these medications so if they work well, we could be rapidly smashing this disease.

They're now onto the human testing stage:

Got this message from the French govt.   Don't know why the suspension. I thought paracetamol and aspirin were ok.  All very confusing.

Panic buying of paracetamol will have went through the roof. At a time where mental health will be low.

  8. Anyone at the point where they need to wipe their arse with a towel or a newspaper yet? (Or just shower)

Thankfully, I've still got 10 rolls but going for a drink tomorrow (In a house) and could decimate that supply with hangover shits.

I've yet to see any stock when in any supermarket.

  9. Voted Dens as the best. It's what I know, and you fall in love with your own stadium.

East End Park is objectively the best in the league, but it's too big for the club and it's completely soulless. It feels a lot bigger than it actually is (I thought it was about 4-5k bigger than Dens until I just checked there) and it holds some terrible footballing memories for me.

Gayfield is a cracking wee stadium but it's location right next to the sea means it's not conducive to watching 'good' football and you're often bloody freezing.

vaccine already been tested successfully on mice apparently, company dealing with it looking for funding to carry on the testing on monkeys reckon we are about 7 months away from a vaccine.

Australia reckon a previously used medication for HIV will work and if not, something that's became ineffective against Malaria is also smashing it.

Dunno how reliable if at all that source is but there's promising signs coming out already which flies in the face of our combattal against other, similar diseases.

Its seemingly an incredibly complicated virus, and with it not being dangerous it's not worth their time putting major money and research into it.

The amount it costs businesses every year with people being off sick made me think we'd have been working overtime to find a cure - particularly so in the States.

  12. Why are we predicting on producing a vaccine (Conservative estimate admittedly) within the next 18 months? We've had 100 years to find one for the common cold (Linked to the family of corona viruses) and not came anywhere near it.

Granted - this requires a much more world concentrated effort but it makes the time scale given look extraordinary.
