  1. Is it looking likely it will be voted through? Who exactly is against the investment and how much a pull do they have in terms of votes?

They both talk really well discussing both short and long term plans and have a solid track record within football so on the outside looking in it looks a no brainer.

    Terrible performance.

Montrose were fitter and faster to the ball and managed to string a few passes together.

Lee Miller won that game for us.

Gomis must start in front of Miller who was rotten.

Anyway, I suppose we’re due some luck.

I’d be tempted to play Miller in his natural position of right back. Gomis and Alston in the middle.

Thought we played well today just a shame to lose late on and come away with nothing.

Thought Falkirk were mostly disapointing throughout the game although there was no doubt that bring on 3 experienced players did make a difference for them.

A good sign when your team plays poorly and stills come away with a good result so maybe this is Falkirk's year to escape the seaside league?

As for the Mo, on today's performance I think we will be fine & can hopefully challenge for the playoffs again. Excited to see more of our new loan signing Mochrie after a good showing today.

Fair assessment. I thought we edged the first half with Montrose dominating the second. A draw would have definitely been the fair result. You look an exciting side going forward again this season though with Mochrie involved in everything. He was outstanding.

Most of the teams in this league are fucking dung, just like last season, when all combinations of our defence were tried, widely acknowledged to be dung and still had an outstanding defensive record.

Our attacking options from the middle of the park look better than last season and we are starting it with Gary Miller in midfield which should shore things up bit by comparison.

Going out to outscore teams is a risky strategy but we weren't there last season and wer not there this season either, but if we get to that point, we look better equipped to do so*.

Iv said more than my fair share about Durnan, I think hes a colossal arse, and I want him out of the time but failure to go up last season wasn't and failure to go up this time won't, IMHO be the fault of the defence. Last season it was shit the bed performances against Clyde, Airdrie and Raith that did it and this season it will be who shits the bed least between us and Partick

*Although that would take a hefty blow of Keena is out for a lengthy spell but even still.

It was our defensive record when we came up against anyone who wasn’t dung that was the problem. Our defending against Clyde and Goodwillie in particular was laughable. A decent centre half in the pack last season would have been the difference between playing Championship football this season and where we are now.

Spot on, the new CB doesn’t seem to be happening, so it’s going with the pair into the first few games. Watched the highlights of the Clyde game, wish I hadn’t,  they looked even worse!

It’s worrying we haven’t signed a centre half/left back already. They’ve had months since they punted Buchanan to resolve this position so I would hate to see what target number we’ve moved onto now. A key position that will ultimately cost us the title if it isn’t addressed.

Had Keena been fit I'd be confident, now I'm not so sure. Hopefully Francis can get off the mark.  Hoping Todd isnt made to play wide left again but difficult to see what other options we have given Leitch is probably out as well.

Aye pretty much my feelings towards this game. I’m not sure they’ll risk Alston for 90 mins yet either meaning Gary Miller and Gomis could be the middle two. (Going by McCrackens post match interview I’m assuming Miller will be fit for sat anyway).
Our injuries leave us very short up front with Sammon and Lee Miller our only options to change it up. If Keena is long term I wonder if M&M will be tempted to find a loan deal until January at least.

To be fair, Goodwillie at his peak would undoubtedly be the best striker in the league, by an absolute fucking mile. I have no idea what he’s like now, but I imagine he’s still pretty good.

He’d be nowhere near this division if it wasn’t for the whole “being a rapist” thing.

He’s still a tremendous footballer and I personally would have him as the best striker in the league.
I’m still glad he doesn’t play for Falkirk mind you. Not a fucking chance would I pay money to fund his wages.

The Jack Hamilton that plays for Livi (and is currently on loan to East Fife, was at us last year) is at least 6ft tall. He's a target man striker. He's certainly not 5'8"

    5'11" Jordan Marshall! 😂

Wearing platform shoes or stilts maybe. I'm 6ft tall and I know Marsh very well. He's 2 or 3 inches shorter than me.

Laughing at a claim he’s 5ft11 then suggesting he could be 5ft10. 😂

Shea Gordon will be at Queen's Park in League One next season.

He hasn’t played under Ray McKinnon before so can’t see it.

How is Rudden getting on at Thistle? I was probably in the minority at Falkirk but always felt he was overrated at the club. Technically not the greatest footballer but he had a great habit of being in the right place at the right time accompanied with a fantastic attitude. Has he been scoring much for Thistle?

Whilst I agree we need a new centre half let’s not get carried away. We conceded 18 goals last season and had one of the best defence records in the country with 3 out of that back 4, considering Buchanan dropped out when M and M came in.

Yes when we play anyone from 5th to 10th we look ok but we get absolutely ragdolled defensively against a competent striker like Goodwillie. Brian Graham will have a field day against Hall.

Just listened to Cracks interview after the game, clearly pissed off with display, but I’m slightly concerned that although he’s confirmed we’re needing a defender, he’s not pinned it down to a CB. Looking for someone that can bring overall cover, unless there’s still a decent budget, I hope we’re not sacrificing a salary on another maybe player.

Aye agreed. Was astonished he included RB in the quote considering Gary Miller can fill in there. A competent centre half is a must.

Heard that Leitch has been playing really well in our games so far, apart from one or two clever passes he looked like a player lost among footballers, as said maybe an over the top reaction.....

I was all for him getting a chance. Last season he looked great in games that didn’t matter but vanished when it did.
Really not convinced Mercer is an upgrade on Doyle either. Tbf, he won’t come up against anyone of Dom Thomas’ ability this season so we will see how he does next week.

If anything last night also highlighted if there's anymore room in the budget after the centre back a winger is needed. Connolly was injured which led us having to put Leitch and Todd out wide left who were both unatural out there and it didn't work at all. Dowds was impressive, held the ball in well and also had a surprising turn of pace for someone of his size. Again it's already been said but having gomis and miller in beside eachother doesn't work as they both want to do the same job.

Would disagree with Todd. Thought he looked good wide left and played a full season with Queens in that position.

    Leitch, again, was absolutely invisible.
