So that fucking diddies like you spend your Monday lunchtime thumping your talons onto the keyboard in anger.

    Well worth it IMO.

See you on Platform 3, cunto.

    Dundee pond life.

Talking of ponds, you thought you'd be big fish down here with the minnows. How does your face off with reality feel?

I think the transfer window will be about trying to hold onto what we have loans and all.

Short of a serious injury I think Murray is quite content with what he has and he's worked wonders to get them to where he has.

Yes. With Vaughan back and Lang and Gullan back soon we have a strong squad. There are only the loanees  - He will want to extend O'Riordan's and Ngwenya's loans. Connell's loan ends along with his Killie contract - I wouldn't be surprised either way if he's kept or offloaded. We're looking good.

While I’m quite enamoured of our current midfield, I’m not silly enough to suggest Hendry wouldn’t be a massive upgrade over any of them. Now we can hopefully look forward to a Dobbie like return in a decade or so, eh?

You have a tendency to exaggerate. I agree that Hendry would improve our midfield but not by a massive amount. I wouldn't say he would be a massive upgrade on Stanton.

Our away form is poor though, and even allowing for a couple of decent results in our last two away matches...

Our away performances have been good, we just haven't had much luck; one chance and a wonder goal at ICT gave them an undeserved draw and  a non penalty in injury time at Cappielow.

Do you really expect the crowd to be buzzing watching us play a dozen passes in our own half before lumping it forward to zero effect?

It's a McGlynn thing. For all the great football he often had us playing "a dozen passes in our own half before lumping it forward to zero effect" was too often a feature of our play.

Missed last week so looking forward to today, we’ve definitely improved since the reverse fixture but we’re still a bit powderpuff up top relying on a young lad who is obviously inconsistent.  Thankfully our midfield are stepping up and we’ve got a couple of options in Vaughan and Big John on the bench to try and change a game. Thought Accies were poor last meeting but they’ve had time to build a team since so we’ll see how it goes. Clocks have changed and we love giving teams at the wrong end a wee gift most seasons so I’ll ignore the bookies odds. Long way to go but with Cove winning last night Arbroath and Accies will be desperate to avoid getting cut adrift from the pack chasing Ayr.

You beat me to it. But with recent wins against Cove and Arbroath maybe we're losing that habit. With Queen's Park losing last night and Patrick and Dundee playing each other a win would guarantee we move into the top four.

In fact, depending on results we could be second!

Couple of questions for those knowledgeable on the topic:

    1) Edinburgh Airport…hellhole to avoid or old, musty but usable place to fly into/out of? Thoughts on international arrival delays there?

    2) Moxy Edinburgh Airport or Marriott Edinburgh Airport…do they work to lay down or poor choice?  Seems either is easy to get to the Edinburgh Gateway station for the train eh?

    3) Getting to Kirkcaldy from Edinburgh on Saturday…if the trains are running, that’s a no brainer…if driving, obviously leave early, but how early? And where to park the old nag.

Just mulling over some ideas for a possible quick trip next year. Ta.

It can only be  Edinburgh or Glasgow airports.

Assuming Edinburgh, there are regular buses and trains to Kirkcaldy; Stark's Park about a mile's walk from the bus and rail stations. Driving should take less than an hour. Parking is plentiful.

What strikes me is his passing out from the back. He's very adept at finding players in space who are maybe 20 to 30 yards away in midfield. There were a few on Saturday in particular where he'd get the ball to Stanton or Easton who were exploiting Partick's lack of presence in the middle. We really missed that in the second half of last season where we'd play it along the back before finding an easy pass, while inviting teams to press.

Compared to players we had like Davo who just hopefully lumped it up the park.
