Well RR fans can look forward to their team applying silky Pep Guardiola football on the Clyde this weekend.

Our groundsman has the grass pitch in bowling standard condition.

Only hope for us will be that the wee midget who got your second goal last time finds the grass too long.

Looks like we might be lucky if we steal a draw.

    I am going for Ton 3 v 1 RR

We're responding to the false claim that we're anti football, now you come up with the low trick of the opposite extreme that we think we play like Manchester City. Keep up the low life sarcasm, its what's expected from your mob

Maybe I’m a bit old school, but much as I’ve always loved Raith Rovers’ stadium, I always rated them alongside Hamilton Accies as the most anti-football teams I’ve ever seen, so I don’t get this new Pep-espues poshness that they are somehow technically superior to Morton. Having said that, I like to see a variation in football between passing and being more direct. I really can’t remember Raith ever being the team with a style I would want to aspire to, so I just don’t get the tone from some Raith fans on here.

You obviously know nothing about us.

While I'd have no issue with being described as a long ball side - I couldn't care less what style of football we play as long as it's effective - I do think the stat is a bit misleading. We regularly try to play balls over the top for players to chase, but hanging punts up in the air for a physical aerial contest with the opposition defence isn't something this team does often, because we don't have enough height in the team to do it. People see a stat about long balls and subconsciously translate that into "aimless punts", but with Ugwu away we don't have anyone to compete with centre backs for that kind of ball so rarely do it.

Going by the definitions used to compile those stats both our second and third goals on Saturday there involved long balls, but the second while definitely being a long ball was an excellently measured pass to find a well timed run off the shoulder of a defence playing a high line, while the third was a great passing move that involved clipping the ball down the wing to the full back who'd started the attack then made an overlapping run.

Kick and rush came to mind

Morton were easily the worst team I’ve seen this season, but they do seem to have picked up a fair bit lately. Dick at centre half did well on Saturday, as did Ngwenya at left back. I think if Nolan is fit he will come back in but it would t be a disaster if we had to go with the former again. Frederiksen will have had another whole week of training. Keen to see him partner Gullan at some point but I think going 4-4-2 away from home would be risky. Imagine we will see the big man in the second half again.

Murray said we needed to be "less nice" and I think we'll stand up to gangs like, Morton Inverness and Arbroath better now.

The reference is to the first half, It's not the dive and booking. Watch what Megginson says in his interview and  you might form a different conclusion.

Yeah I hadn't seen that. I'll need to watch the highlights to see what he's talking about now.

We were one up at the time, the folk around me thought it was dodgy.
