  1. I can't see Kyle Turner signing surely he is looking at a Prem gig.
  2. Are the initials DN for the CH heard about a CH coming in from down south.
  3. On the subject of Raith Keith Watson has been released from Ross County. Heard about a week ago we had offered him terms. Fits the bill, player stepping down a level very experienced and a centre half. Hopefully will be announced shortly.
  4. Not sure of the phone number but I remember as a kid phoning the line and my mum going nuts as it was charged at I higher rate.
  5. Isn't he under contract, maybe the Pars are looking at him though. Also read that Falkirk want a keeper they had on loan from Forest last season. He has been released and looking to be 1st choice, can't see then signing MacDonald if that's the case.
  6. I've heard nothing to suggest either will sign. Was hoping one or 2 would rock up at SP today.
  7. I've heard we have offered terms to two CHs one very experienced the other is currently down south.
  8. So pre season starts tomorrow. I reckon we may see a new CH tomorrow. Heard we've offered terms to two CHs.
  9. I don't think it's a bad idea. We may have a fair few under 12s in the south stand so putting the young team up in the railway stand to create noise, pressure ain't a bad thing. If we are doing well the south stand will always generate noise.
  10. Money is always an issue, last season we survived in the Championship with no natural number 9 or an experienced CH as we couldn't afford to sign one. We finished the season with 13 fit players. This season we have started with 16 signed players of which 3 are kids. We have so far signed a GK after losing our number 1 as we wanted him to take a pay cut. We've lost another big earner in Brad Spencer and Tom Lang and signed Jack Hamilton as a number 9. Our current squad sits at 21 players including 3 kids so it's not like we have a massive squad. 3-5 players in my opinion will leave on loan or may be offered to other clubs. Of other players we have signed we've got a 19 Yr old from Celtic and a 20 Yr old from Hearts probably not on big wages. Yes it could go wrong but at our level that can happen at any club but we now have a proper board with football experience, Raith supporters and business men a very good mix. Some with a a fair bit of cash and others with successful businesses that will benefit our club through social media, Internet and marketing. Anyway enjoy the seaside league no doubt McGlynn will play his usual brand of boring, passing football from keeper to centre half then an array of sideway passes.
  11. Probably can't afford him but what about Ryan Edwards, yes played in a side that's just been relegated but is 6ft 5, experienced and may want to stay local if he lives near Dundee.
  12. We haven't really gone on a mad spending spree. We had 14 signed players with 3 kids in that 14. We struggled to field a team towards the end of last season. We had no number 9 and have lost Brad Spencer and Jamie MacDonald who would have been bigger earners and refused new deals on less money. Difference is we needed to build a squad as we needed a GK, a CF and still need 2 CHs and have offered some security by giving the 2 or 3 year deals. Although we have signed a few we will still end up with a squad of around 24 which may include 3 kids and a 3rd keeper.
  13. But that's what we need a bog standard CH who can clear his lines, defend crosses and corners.
  14. So you've seen Dabrowski once, I'm sure we can all say that some players have had poor games but are very good. Macdonald shipped 4 against Hamilton a couple of seasons ago.
  15. How often have you watched McDonald or Dabrowski to give any form of judgement.
  16. It's not really an option for us seeing as McDonald is away
  17. Did you dominate that game, probably, will Dunfermline dominate possession against some Championship sides probably not. Mehmet was crap in your relegation season Bene was finished as a CH in the Championship and Craig Wighton has never been prolific in the Championship yet some Dunfermline fans would rather have him than Jack Hamilton who scored for fun. I'm happy with the work my club is doing and if we sign a keeper that Hibs fans and Queen of the South fans both rate then I'll be happy.
  18. Completely agree. The key to success is a strong starting 11, with depth on the bench that firstly means we can fill it, secondly add competition and we have options to change players and formation. We lacked that massively this past season yet still finished 7th.
  19. Got to remember that Mehmet was useless the last time he played in the Championship. I can remember many Dunfermline wanting him dropped. He may have his confidence back and may have improved. One things for sure Jack Hamilton will put a few past him.
