  1. I'm hoping it is a new signing, but it could be IM staying and the launch of our season tickets.
  2. 17 players signed, 3 kids that need game time, so all likely to go on loan. Squad of 24 so 10 players to come in. 1 x GK, 3 x CH, 1 x LB, 1 x CM, 2 x CF, 1 x winger, 1x RB. If its a total playing squad of 24 including the kids then drop 1 x CH, 1 x RB and possible the CM seeing as Matthews should be back.
  3. I'm not sure if the scout was ever brought in to scout players for potential transfers my understanding is he scouted opponents, tactics etc for up coming games.
  4. I'm not convinced IM applied for the job more like Dundee came asking if they could talk to him which he and the club agreed too. He'd be stupid not to speak to a club that could offer him more money albeit no job security.
  5. Is it Ray McKinnon done that to us a few seasons ago.
  6. Goncalves please god no, one of the worse strikers I've seen and I've seen many at SP. If we are signing a Livi player then let's hope it's Jack Hamilton, striker.
  7. I'm much the same. The difference is we have a structure in the background that will bring in the right person but recruitment will not necessarily stop with Potter and Barrowman looking for players
  8. Eh naw. People on here calling for Berra no thanks a man that left the club with no notice. Davidson is not a bad manager. Our most successful manager was an ex Rangers player manager with an experienced number 2. If Murray goes I certainly don't want Mickey as manager and its a naw to McCall or Potter.
  9. Whatever happens needs to be sorted by the end of this week. This can't be allowed to drag on. I was a Murray supporter when he was mentioned last season, however, he has failed this season. Failed to find a striker, failed to secure a top half finish, but this was partially caused by a budget that was vastly reduced. The only surprise is that Dundee actually want someone who failed to get Airdrie up and didn't exactly set the Heather on fire last season. If he does go then we need to look at Calum Davidson. If we go with inexperienced why not Scott Arfield as player manager with an experienced number 2.
  10. Great signing, does appear that Spencer is likely away as Connolly mentions car sharing with Spencer and Brown last season but makes no reference moving forward. Now we need a 1st team goalkeeper, another 2 or 3 centre halfs, 2 strikers.
  11. If its a new signing it will tell us the direction we are going in. Dylan Corr, young inexperienced, if we are getting someone similar then it's clearly the direction we are going.
  12. With a squad of 24 we should have cover in every position including both CH roles with a 3rd keeper and a utility type player.
  13. Welcome to Dylan Corr but at the moment it's a strange signing as most of us know absolutely nothing about him. He may turn out to be a cracking signing but the level he's played at is way below Championship level. We need 4 CHs so hopefully some experience to come in.
  14. Surely 24 players will not include Arnott, Masson, Mitchell who all need to be playing at a lower level to gain experience. If that's the case then we need to ensure the players coming in are better than what we have and not injury prone.
  15. Dundee's head of recruitment is also away. Not sure they will be signing anyone until a new manager is in place. The Pre contract with Reilly I think he was reviewing it with Bowyer away.
  16. Getting back to other matters. The appointment of Greg McEwan appears very positive, I just wonder how we can afford all these new faces. Onto the stadium do we think that with changing room improvements we will also see an upgrade in the sub bench, technical area as they are very basic. Hopefully with all this new commercial appointments we see our sponsorship around the ground renewed and increased.
  17. I heard Sim retains around 35% of the shares for the club. He never owned 100% of the shares.
  18. Partick midfield is something we should try and copy. Bannigan adds bite, Tiffany adds width and pace, Turner again adds pace but plays a killer pass.
  19. McDonald, Sim, Smart, Barrowman, McKenzie, Kilgour, Halliday. Potter is not a director but will report directly to the board.
  20. Nice to see Falkirk fail again. Surely they can't continue with full time football.
  21. I take it you missed the press launch naming our 7 man board. Morgan not one of the 7.
  22. I'm not overly fussed if Lang moves on. With the positive sounds coming from the club I feel a lot more confident that we will find suitable replacements for him and Nolan who can certainly be replaced. A Lee Ashcroft type player with experience along side Stanger would be better than what we have had. Lang IMO is not good enough for the top flight, he will be found out but good luck to him should he get this move.
