  1. I've noticed that Tazz1903 hasn't responded to this post.
  2. So its not to bad to declare Raith champions, but just don't promote when the prize for winning your league is promotion, I think not. Null and void are not on the table so the only resolution is promotion and relegation or promotion and no relegation. Let's get the facts out. No football until the 10th June Player contracts come to an end 9th June. Raith top of the league after 75% games played. Teams on the verge of going out of business. No players discussions until resolution. No season ticket sales until a resolution. From the Spfl rules.Season means the period of the year commencing on the date of the first league match in a season and ending on the date of the last league match in the same season or otherwise as determined by the board and which excludes the close season. if the board are saying season is finished then league positions stand and promotion happens.
  3. You are coming over as an absolute arse. There is not a hope in hell of the remaining fixtures being played prior to contracts ending. You then have a scenario of the remaining fixtures being played with very different teams. Now that is not fair. Only sensible solution is to call it now. Clubs then now what league they will be in so season tickets can go on sale for that league, contract extensions can be discussed and player transfers also considered. Leave it too long and there wont be a chance of the new season even starting come August as clubs will have no players signed. If your still unhappy then calculate the average points or use the 2nd quarter of the season and replicate results for the last quarter. Anyway you do it Raith are promoted.
  4. Well you know something I'm happy to cheat, if East Fife could ever get to the top of the league instead of 5th, mid table then you would be calling for EF to be promoted. Unfortunately you're in the right position for your club mid table.
  5. Hows it unfair, every team has had the same chance to be top. Also void the league to pretend it never happened. Do clubs the have to pay back sponsorship money, season ticket money. No club would survive that.
  6. No what matters this season is who is top and bottom when the season has had to be ended.
  7. This just shows the mentality of some fans. Void a season and remain in league 1, but when clubs are to vote on promoting and relegation its unfair because Inverness may catch Dundee United, East Fife may go up through playoffs. Get over it reward the teams who are top of the league and make a decision on relegation. Either relegate bottom club, or promote top 2 with no relegation.
  8. With this decision there is only one outcome in the lower leagues and that's to end it now. Leagues cannot be completed when squads are at the minimum with contracts ending. Raith can only field a team of 9, 2 of which are apprentices who have never featured in a game and I'm assuming one of the other 9 will be Lewis Vaughan currently injured until Autumn. Other teams probably Dumbarton for one will have virtually no squad.
  9. Further I'm all for promoting the top 2 and no relegation but that's it.
  10. What nonsense I've read. If Dundee Utd are promoted then we cant have a scenario that Raith aren't. A leads a lead. All other teams have had the same opportunity to top the table. Raith have for the majority of the season. If it's so unfair replicate the 2nd quarter and work out who tops the tables. Again Raith promoted.
  11. There is not a hope in hello that our league fixtures will be completed before player contracts have ended. Experts are saying at least another 10 days before we hit our peak. You would then be talking about another month of isolation before players can get together and train again. Then they will require a pre season of at least 2 weeks to get up to speed. That takes us to 3nd of May. Unless you play a game a day it ain't getting finished. I also cant see how teams can be expected to finish this campaign at the start of the next campaign. Teams will be changed. Then you have a scenario of teams signing players for league 1 football but getting promoted or Visa versa signing players for a championship budget and being relegated or not promoted. Only 2 scenarios are promote and relegate or promote top 2 and no relegation. Either way a decision needs to be made sooner rather than later to safe guard several clubs financially.
  12. If your team were sitting top of the league at the moment would you and your BOD be against it answer is no. Your pissed because for the 2nd season in a row your team have under performed. With your budget you should be well clear but instead for the great majority of the season you have been behind Raith. Your team have also failed in 4 attempts to beat Raith 3 in the league and getting thumped in the cup.
  13. I'm all for this, one up one down. Previously I was in favour of 2 up and no relegation but Falkirk fans dont appear to agree to that solution and want the league voided so stuff them let them stay down for at least another season in league 1 and with Partick coming down then it becomes all the harder to get up.
  14. What the f**k do you think will happen. They will not be promoting a team currently 5th in the league. You should feel happy at least your not Airdrie or Montrose that may feel aggrieved by promoting the top 2
  15. Spot on, your spot on. Best team and most consistent are currently sitting top of the league. Finish the league now promote top and 2nd top no relegation vast majority of teams happy and prize money paid out to help clubs get through this hard period of time. It's either that or promote top, relegate bottom which means several more unhappy teams and fans. The void the season option is a no go. No club could survive getting no prize money paying back sponsors and who knows having to pay back all season tickets etc. If you say it hasn't happened then all money's will have to be paid back.
  16. It would be interesting to see what all Falkirk fans would have been saying if you were top of the league. Do you honestly believe that Liverpool, Celtic, Dundee Utd will allow the leagues to be voided. Legal challenges from every direction. Why are you so against promotion from 2nd place, strange I'd be fighting for that if I was a Falkirk fan.

  18. And when exactly are we expected to play this one off game. Football will not be played before the end of May and unlikely to be played before July. All players still require a preseason as they wont have kicked a ball in weeks. We also will only have 9 signed players so we can only play you in a game of 6 a side. Football bosses need to make a decision. For me Raith and Falkirk are the 2 best sides in this league and wont look out of place in the Championship so promote both, no relegation and promote the winners from Lowland and Highland leagues. If your not happy with that then replicate the results from the 2nd quarter and promote the Champions. Guess what we go up.
  19. Why we've played the same amount of games our head to head are the same but we are top of the league. They wont do that in the Championship so all leagues would have to be the same. Anyhow you have a far better chance than us in any playoffs.
  20. Certainly sounds from John McGlynns interview that Anderson has been training with us, not.
  21. Considering I'm at the gym every Tuesday and Thursday and this is the first time I've seen him then I doubt he's been training with us.
  22. Source I saw it with my one eyes at Gym 64. In Raith colours training with the team.
  23. In other news Steven Anderson is back training with Raith.
  24. And another season in the 1st division will help our finances. You mentioned Sutherland he may have been a target but was it realistic. A player that was under contract and scoring goals. A players unwilling it appears to love out of the highlands. We have gone 29 days and now appear to be looking at the bottom of the barrel. We've put Victoria out on loan to save a wage, we're unlikely to get Gullan back unless Hibs sign a couple of strikers in the next 48 hours. We're looking at Kenny Miller but he has other offers. If we want out of this league then we need to strengthen. Airdrie and Falkirk both have.
  25. Yet other teams in our league have managed to sign players and strengthen their squads, we've weakened.
