  1. So the original Rangers gave players and others 'loans' that didn't need to be paid back.

Now Mike Ashley has given The Rangers a 'loan' that some are saying doesn't need to be paid back.

I always thought I knew what a 'loan' was but obviously it has a different meaning to what I thought it was.

I guess it depends on whether it's the lender or the borrower who's Wan A' The People.

  2. Why ? Because the old club occasionally won a two horse race !?

Nearly every week Rangers played clubs/companies who had just a fraction of Rangers finances, I've seen Falkirk play right diddy teams in the Cup and it's rarely an exciting thing, couple of goals, training ground football, expected win - that's what Rangers fans had week-in-week-out with just 4 games of any 'suspense' in the entire season,

But of course the old club/company did win stuff, that must be exhilarating!? it is for me when Falkirk win stuff! Thing is though I've been there when Rangers have won stuff (2009 Cup Final) and their fans simply bimbled out of the ground like it was just another match - indeed they hardly even made a peep when they were inside the ground !!

Supporting a diddy team is a real journey, and it's fucking brilliant.

^ This. It's the years of hee haw success and mediocrity that make the occasional triumphs utterly out of this world. But Sevconians don't have sufficient self esteem to handle the banter that comes with supporting a team that generally experiences lack of success and mediocrity.

  3. With about a dozen players out of contract in the summer, yes, they could.

There's apparently going to be an increase in the playing budget also which would make the possibility of extending his contract even more affordable. And I doubt he's amongst the top earners.

I think Rangers believe they can sign better players. Time will tell. I'm almost certain, though, that the salary budget for the players will be higher when the transfer window closes than it is right now.

Aye, it's time to dip into the magical bottomless pit of moonbeam money again

  4. I think the only way to save The Rangers from oblivion would be to relegate Celtic and have Hibs/QOS play off for the right to take their place. Celtic and The Rangers could then reignite their fake rivalry in the Championship and another round of thick bear fleecing would begin.

This would have the added bonus of preserving Motherwell's place in the Premiership, something I think we'd all agree is in everyone's best interest, particularly Falkirk's.

  5. Irrelevant, joke club pish team, f*ckin Sevco shite Ibrokes Orcs, ha ha lots of smiley faces, sniggering, back slaps etc...!! The whole thread condensed into one post !! And still the busiest subject on the forum. Nah you're not bothered, intrigued or interested in Rangers at all. Keep it coming, speaks volumes for those who deny they continue to be hopelessly obsessed by our Club. On second thoughts, performers enjoying their own material amongst each other without an audience to play to doesn't make great viewing, but that's what most of these threads exist on.

^^ Keyboard overflowing with tears at the realisation his team will be a laughingstock until the day it dies.
