I think the SFA/SPFL will be desperately hoping that when Rangers/The Rangers/Sevco finally indisputably cease to exist, the whole thing will be safely "somebody else's fault". Ashley's the ideal scapegoat, really. Rich enough that he couldn't care less about financial losses, or threats and intimidation from The People.

My next door neighbour put £100 on the Hoops to do the treble at the start of the season, his new LED 60" TV is being delivered tomorrow after he threw his can of beer through the screen when ICT's 3rd goal went in.
That's the second TV he has threw something that smashed the screen over a football match, I've been ribbing him to send a letter to the SFA to get some recompense for the old TV.
Isn't Seamus due a cameo appearance and a monumental meltdown at times like this ?

I think Sevconians, even if otherwise capable of some sort of rational thought, have a mental block that won't let them get past the simple formula of "Hates Rangers = loves Celtic". The same is true in reverse for the other foul lot, of course.

One way to help Sevco's financial woes would be an interest-free loan from Celtic. Both clubs need each other to survive so it would be in Celtic's own interest to keep this charade going as long as possible. Obviously they couldn't do this openly, they'd have to do it through various middlemen.
