  1. RIP Tommy. Thought the club might have said something by now.
  2. Considering he is being allowed to extend players contracts, Jim is going to be here next season, isn't he? A few weeks ago I was convinced he would be punted whether we survived or not, not now.
  3. Not to mention his plans for life after Boyce.. His success rate in the transfer market doesn't fill me with confidence. Someone compile a list so we can have a laugh.
  4. Or that Jim doesn't have a clue? "Speaking about the loan signing, manager, Jim McIntyre said: "Milan is an exciting left winger who gets forward and puts teams on the back foot. He comes with a great pedigree having played for a number of big clubs in England and Europe, including Chelsea and Portsmouth. We tried to bring Milan in in the summer so when he became available we moved for him immediately."
  5. We've progressed to an actual banner, following someone holding an A4 sheet of paper with "Smith must go" in 2005.
  6. And I see we still have Franks, played for dev team today, scoring twice. I am beginning to wonder if we will see Chris Burke in a County shirt again, that's another wage which wont be a low one - although maybe he was on some kind of pay per game deal?
  7. How many wingers do we need, does this mean there is bad news on the injury front regarding Burke or Midge, or that Franks or Tony are about to be shipped? I hope we have a decent replacement lined up for Boyce and are not scrambling around on the closing day of the transfer window.
  8. Ah bless, took a few days but there she is. Happy 2017 Sophia x
  9. There are still tickets available for Boyd's testimonial dinner in the Drumossie next Friday night - contact details on OTB.
  10. Smallest budget in the league surely. Boyd and Robertson were clearly going to leave, I'm surprised Tony hasn't gone out on loan, can that happen outside the window? Maybe Jim is happy to give him more chances, which I'd be happy with, but there is no point him sitting on the bench.
  11. The moaning old gudgies in the East stand will be having a field day; "C'mon Chow min!" Enough. RSJ reporting that Caldwell only agreed to let him go once the clubs had agreed on a future sell-on fee. I hope we did the same with Irvine.
  12. A done deal then. http://www.wiganlatics.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/transfer-tim-chow-wigan-athletic-to-ross-county-august-2016-3271890.aspx County boss Jim McIntyre described Chow as "a box-to-box midfielder with great athleticism".
  13. Foster told he was surplus to requirements and could leave for free (P&J). "I had another year at County but was told I was free to go. There were other options but this was the one that stood out".
  14. Let's wait until the transfer window closes, and then see how we feel eh?
  15. Several players were told in the summer they could move on, ie please leave so we can use your wages elsewhere. Plus Roy put his foot in it at the supporters meeting in June when he said amongst others we were after a 'big centre forward'. I think most staggies knew at that point that Graham wouldn't be here much longer.
  16. You'll find that Aberdeen fans are much noisier the next time you play them... Slightly disappointed, he was good cover in a few positions, but with Cikos, Fraser, McEveley, and the young Mclaughlin we have enough cover. No surprise given the rumours since Budapest. I expect Graham to go next, followed by some 'mutual' bullshit about Boyd.
  17. There is substance to that. He needs regular games, would be a good move for him.
  18. He is obviously down the pecking order and unlikely to feature much but Boyd has a year left on his contract and has a thoroughly deserved testimonial game and dinner coming up. I'd b very disappointed if he was being shafted by the club and surely the chairman would not let that happen. I thought the days of Adams style fall-outs were over
  19. The Davies story is bizarre, although I'm delighted he is staying, if he is. If that is our midfield for the season, we really need to hope Routis turns out to be a star performer.
  20. Doesn't Davies stay in the Muir? Make an effort man, no wonder his wife is unsettled.
  21. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/ross-county/974861/quinn-handed-staggies-armband-with-davies-set-to-depart/ Huge blow for us. There were whispers something was up in Hungary last week.
  22. Cikos was the stand out for me in Friday's game. Linked very well with Midge on the right. No mention on Curran's injury yet, that was unfortunate. With Cikos, Van der Weg and Routis, (no sign of McEveley on Friday) we definitely have a 'bigger presence'.
