Draper being nursed back to full fitness and we wont take any risks by playing him too soon ( Ferg in P&J).

Paton was impressive in Holland but in a deeper position. I suspect Ferglewell see Spittal as more of a replacement in terms of late arriving mf goal threat.

Wasn't at either the Montrose or Brechin games, but thought Laidlaw looked pretty good in the 2nd game in the NL - couple of cracking saves. Whereas Baxter in the 1st game seemed to be out of position a lot, and iirc (several shandies) the first goal seemed soft. Not much of a gauge I know, but I wouldn't write-off Laidlaw just yet.

With Morris, Watson, Grivosti and Fontaine all looking good at pre-season I don't see why we would be trying to get Donaldson. If we are going to spend then it would be better spent elsewhere, ie on a left back. Harry Paton looked good yesterday and was being coached through the game by the very vocal Morris and Watson. A pity we never got to see Power in action.

I didn't pay too much attention to how DKD was getting on this season, other than his stupid red card v QotS. Ferg was in the paper yesterday challenging him to break into the team this season. Thoughts? It's only June 1st so plenty time, the club will still be waiting to hear from some players on whether they are accepting contracts or not, would expect some announcements this week. Back to training on 20th.

P&J saying Fraser rejected a pre-contract offer from McIntyre earlier this season. Also that Draper will be next to commit, and confirms the interest in Spittal.

Apparently Chalmers is a done deal, but not sure about Donaldson.

Munro is going out on loan this season to continue his development, needs regular games - Ferg in P&J, so we are looking for 2 keepers. This news on Fox has been circulating since the Falkirk game, seems he needs to move 'back down the road'. Rumours also that Grivosti is offski, has failed to agree terms. I'd be more disappointed with that than Fox leaving.

Was very surprised to see Fraser in there tbh!
