  1. My memory of the incident was Hogg & Levein squaring up to each other as we waited for a corner kick to be taken, them arguing over the preceding chance that led to the corner; and not in fact after the half-time whistle. But, as with you Yoss, my recollection is also a bit misty. It doesn't really matter anyway, the bout was hilarious
  2. I'll be there tae edit - oops, 2 posts!
  3. Indeed. She has showroom qualities, a cheap ride and the next morning she'll have nothing more to do with you. Yee-ha!!
  4. I'm always wary of a new poster specifically joining a website just to post a rumour, so this could be shite. In any case, the dandies have been badly bitten by (alliteration!) appointing from the 1st and finding the guy wasn't capable in the SPL - though granted he was a drunk!
  5. Wales is Mole's replacement, and I couldn't be happier about that.
  6. Agree with you re Murray's draw - insanely good. As far as Nadal goes I can see Denis Istomin causing him major problems in round 2 but if he gets past him then plain sailing to the quarters.
  7. I can't believe you missed answering your own question by a bawhair!! Weir free kick
  8. No I won't laugh. Why would I select one game when there's a whole career's worth still out there? I'll just quietly shake my head at your argumentative skills re Murray being a choker and then saying he's better than Fed on grass. Your posts seem to ride an emotional rollercoaster that a little bit of thought before submitting can solve.
  9. A Tribe Called Quest - Ham 'n' Eggs
  10. Murray plays Gulbis next in Cincy A wankfest beckons for McKee
  11. To me this is Murray's most impressive title win. From memory (forgive me if this is wrong) he's beaten Rafa & Fed in the same tournament for the first time I believe (back to back straight sets too)? Beating Fed in a final for the first time also? Beating Nalbandian for the first time ever? These are important factors in his confidence with Cinci then the US Open looming. Combine that with having no coach, no consistent form to speak of, no season title AND battling to keep his no. 4 seeding and he can be very happy with his week. Well done Muzzah! edit - I seem to have posted in the middle of an argument about who's less average than others!
  12. With Alan Walker only 1 week behind him also reaching that target at Dunfermline. It's a hell of a stat though. Baird's already a legend
  13. Queens Of The Stone Age - 3's & 7's
  14. The Stone Roses by a country mile - there will never be a more fully realised debut album released in my lifetime IMO. Even amid chaos they somehow made a great follow up. People complain that it showed its influences too much but no more than their debut did, though its telling that the least Squire-sounding songs on Second Coming were the more interesting ones and the ones Ian Brown co-wrote (Daybreak/Straight To The Man/Begging You) so it kind of did suffer through Squire's ego but not enough to prevent me from being enthralled by it. I feel The Second Coming has aged well too though that could be because it was borne from the 70's Good to see props for Inspiral Carpets, one of the best singles bands but unfortunately never managed a killer album. Made some great Peel Sessions though. Happy Mondays were held in far too high an esteem by the music press at the time and have dated badly, though Bummed will forever remain a fantastic album due in the most part to Martin Hannett's wonderful production skills but also some choice lyrics! The Charlatans will always be The Charlatans - purveyors of generic, passable mid-paced indie rock till the end of time with occasional bouts of falsetto to break the tedium.
  15. Super Furry Animals - God! Show Me Magic
