Peter Crouch@petercrouch
After a lot of deliberation this summer I have decided to retire from football ! Our wonderful game has given me everything. I’m so thankful to everyone who helped me get there and to help me stay there for so long. XSeems to be one of the good guys does Mr Crouch.

Juventus 'reject £27m offer from Everton' for 19-year-old forward Moise Kean
Can see why Killie just want him on loan until they can sell O'Donnell and Taylor.

Heard on Saturday night that a deal is nearly done for May.
Is this connected to the interest in Danzell and Garrett apparently suddenly ending?

At the moment there are only two inter-island tunnels and these are the only pay tunnels. The one from Streymoy to Sandoy will open in 2021 and will be 10.7km. The airport is on Vágar and it is necessary to go through a pay tunnel to get to Tórshavn on Streymoy. Although the bus is only 90DKK.
The other large scale project, which I confess I didn’t know about, so thanks @7-2 for sparking my interest to check Wiki, is the 11.2km tunnel which will connect Tórshavn with the well-populated areas on Eysturoy such as Runavík and Toftir, and will have a 3-way underwater roundabout It will cut the distance from Tórshavn to Runavík from 34 miles to 11 - it will carry a lot of traffic and subsidise the Sandoy one. It explains some of the construction work I saw the other week.
The other tunnels simply cut road distances through the mountains and are apparently cheaper than many road projects, as well as being weatherproof. Some are unlit and single track with passing places. Many people have suggested inter-island tunnels for Scotland, based on costs of Norwegian tunnels.
Must admit I more glanced than examined so thought most were inter-island. I'm still a bit surprised at their extent given how expensive an option is/was. Looks like I'll need to stick to Tipping Point then.
Anyway, trying to bring things back on topic, interesting though the Faroe Islands tunnels are...honest...it is a slight diversion () but one that hopefully makes it easier for fans to travel to games...

Right, back to Føroyar. Up north, to Klaksvík on the island of Borðoy which you reach by the 6.3 km Norðoyatunnilin which goes 150m below the sea bed at its lowest point.
I must admit that of the bits of knowledge you can sometimes pick up on P&B, the tunnel system of the Faroe Islands was not one I'd have guessed. Reading this post I was surprised at how somewhere as small and isolated as the Faroes could afford such a project, did some googling and discover that the island group has numerous road tunnels joining them up dating back to the early 60s with even more planned. Superb stuff. I now know what my specialist subject on Mastermind will be.

if anyone can get him back on track it’s Wright.
That's the key motive for him I'd say. He may get more money at one of Dundee's second division clubs but Stevie needs to be scoring goals at the highest level possible if he's to save his career. I doubt he can do it and if the list of options he supposedly has is true then it speaks volumes about his standing in the game now unfortunately. Would love to see a goal scoring Stevie May back in a Saints shirt but I don't think he exists any more.

Kennedy injured for 2 weeks and maybe a bit longer with a dead leg. At least it's not a bad one.
I didn't realise dead legs were as bad as that as always thought it was more of a short term issue but, as you say, it's nothing too serious thankfully.

There's a pic on twitter of Kennedy leaving the ground with a crutch and presumably some sort of support covering on his right thigh. A bit worrying.

It sounds like Tommy's annual 'the cupboard's virtually bare' expectation management message to potential players and agents. I'm sure we'll get someone decent.

It should be compulsory for every striped and hooped shirt to have the back displayed when launched. Final judgement can't be made until the whole shirt is seen. Too many ruined by the solid back.

Sadly, it's now used as a caravan park, and the new stadium is right in middle of the village.
Ironically, a reverse move that would delight fans of most new build stadia over here.

Have a greenie for reminding me I'd still to buy the latest edition of Nutmeg, which has an article about that incident in it.
Goodwin's nutmeg was the most bizarre moment of what was a rather surreal night, which ended with Villa having the honour of shaking my hand.
All part of the service.
I didn't realise it had gone down in the annals of Scottish football history. It was certainly worth a chuckle at the time and recounting over pre-match beers in the future but surprised it's worth writing articles about tbh.

Southampton about to sign Che Zach Everton Fred Adams from Birmingham after Matt Targett goes to Villa.

My lasting memory of Goodwin is him with his arms in the air celebrating after nutmegging David Villa against New York City in Manchester.
(No, I haven't had anything today, yet)
