  1. I e-mailed them last week with some questions and I got ignored. I see someone asked them on twitter earlier about their contributions outside of Weir. Can't say I expect them to get an answer either. There was Goodwin a couple of weeks ago like a right lemon with his retro shirt on outside Firhill talking to STV that he was approachable via phone, e-mail, text, morse code whatever the f**k. Is he a genuine Thistle fan or just one of these talking heads who is always seen when theres chat about a fans group wanting to become involved in a club? I've never seen the guy in my puff and suddenly hes Mr Thistle.
  2. I was relatively behind him until last night,. Theres been a core of Thistle fans who have hunted him since day one because he succeeded Archibald. Stuff like the "promotion was his remit" was nothing more than a soundbite to convey positivity and totally unrealistic given the circumstances. Hes had a clean go at it this year however, and what I've seen more or less has been rubbish. We have some good players, we have a big squad. We are nowhere near promotion, probably going to struggle over the course again and theres teams with a fraction of our resources evidently doing better. Last night was the point of no return for me, it was dreadful. Even sneaking a win last night would have delayed the inevitable. I'm fine with Lennon or McCall in the medium term. I think we need to shed this image of clinging to people with an association to the club however. Its a big part of our weak mentality, we're scared to take risks outside of the box, we pigeon hole ourselves with this mindset. Only fans should run the club, long serving players are irreplaceable, only ex players/legends should manage the club. Its a load of nonsense. Wish the fans would look at things more objectively without the emotion attached to it every single time.
  3. Thats a howling result for Dumbarton. At least looking through the likes of the Hearts and Celtic teams theres a lot of players who have featured regularly at a decent level. St. Mirren just looks like a proper weans team. Surely the nail on Duffy's managerial career is due.
  4. My biggest complaint about Gaz has to be giving a platform to that cabbage on twitter BM.
  5. I don't think we really played good or bad, but I just left that game deflated. The season is realistically already going to amount to nothing IMO, we don't have the resources to challenge and then sustain ourselves in the top league, we'd be fodder. Seeing folk having the Caldwell in and out debate in the same way we got with Archie the last couple of years is beyond repetitive for me. Change is needed at the top, because whilst I don't think we are a flat out rubbish team, we aren't close to promotion and we're on a one way ticket to long term mediocrity, regardless of who the manager or the players are. Bring on the new owners cos I see no light at the end of the tunnel with the current state of affairs.
  6. I'd imagine United or Dundee will win the league, the rest of the teams including us range from mediocre to rubbish on any given day and financially the gap is far too big for the rest to get close. Those two meat heads at the back will cost United points along the way I'd imagine, could do with a player in that position I reckon before the window shuts.
  7. Those John Lambie songs from the Clyde fans were as cringeworthy as anything I've heard from any set of fans including the Old Firm. They were constant right through the first half. Scrambling for relevance.
  8. Be better off with a plank of wood in goal than hoping Scott Fox might save a penalty.
  9. When fit I'd quite like to see Robson get a go ahead of Penrice. It would be another stick to beat Caldwell with for the Thistle loyal seeing a youth player dropped for an outsider.
  10. I think that might have been against Arbroath. I'm sure Paul Walker scored a belter that day too.
  11. The Colt crowds will keep declining. The laughable fact is that there was a novelty to their participation at first and that didn't stop some horrendous attendance figures.
  12. Rudden signed a new deal at Rangers and sounds like he wants to stay and fight for his spot. Regardless of this ownership shit we can't fall into the trap again of falling in love with targets and being left in a position to panic.
  13. When you take the emotion and bluster out of it and actually examine the track record of these people the truth probably lies in the middle. There wouldn't be a scatter gun signing approach where they will just sign anyone they fancy because they can, although obviously they have the resources to do that if they ever wanted but they have openly said that's not their MO and the transfer business done by their other clubs backs that up. Nor does their history suggest they are here to asset strip, and what assets anyway? The evidence suggests we'd likely be another minor part of a larger organisation behind Barnsley, Nice and all their other investments. The guy isn't Craig Whyte, he's got serious money from legit business behind him and an existing track record in football which is reasonable. Nor is he is Abramovich or Sheikh Mansour where he'll just fire money at big name players. Some folk (well one guy) have suggested the club's dying on its arse. Not true IMO, but it's at risk of stagnating again in the way of a long rut of seasons outside the top flight. I think Caldwell did alright in the end last season and got an unnecessarily hard time so if the status quo remains I will remain behind him, but in the grand scheme if he goes, so be it. The current board don't have the money or the expertise behind them, more than replaceable. The current lack of news on the signings front isn't a coincidence either IMO. My main hope would be they would invest in the infrastructure. The stadium, the training ground, the overall professionalism of the club. There's no point in them coming in to just fire a bunch of players from Barnsley and Nice on loan every year up to us and that being the end of their input, but given what Chien Lee and Paul Conway have said about building things slowly I'm sure they're well aware of that.
  14. Does yer man Jordanhill Jag have beef with Low or anyone else at the club?
  15. He didn't get many chances with us tbh. Scored a perfectly good goal that got chopped off as well. Didn't really look all that good either it must be said, looked a bit lost during the brief appearances he had, hes got a lot of energy but a bit of a headless chicken, but he'll be capable of chipping in with 7/8 goals at that level. Not the number 9 you're probably hoping for but he'll be alright in league 1 and hes still quite young. I wouldn't say hes that much of a different player from Dale Carrick.
  16. I take it you weren't looking for attention when you stood up at Ibrox with a Catalonia flag? To be fair, anyone giving you money for some felt tip pens and a tarpaulin deserves to get rinsed.
  17. You're no different to these folk. You thrive off the same embarrassing attention and ridicule that these people attract. I've been told the banner is a Thistle fan pissing on a Clyde shirt like those cartoons that have been doing the rounds online for years, and you've the cheek to beg folk for money for it. How could you not get a handful of your pals together and pay for something as shite as that amongst yourselves?
  18. The competition has its worth to lower league clubs as a legitimate change to win something, but if its running at a loss and being used as nothing more than an agenda for the Old Firm then cheerio.
  19. Wee c**t is a redneck and basically a thistle paul the tim/edl abdul at this point, which he thrives off. He should pay for it himself rather than try to scam gullible folk online.
  20. Just people jumping and repeating themselves about stuff like set pieces, late goals, Miles Storey, Coulibaly, a lot of stuff thats been done to death. One of them asked about four questions in a row, the groans got louder each time from the audience as nae c**t was there to listen to an Alan Brazil lookalike.
  21. Only concern was Gaz gave relevance to the noncy 50 year old Jack Storer fan with that video. Shouldn't be encouraging folk like that.
  22. Favourite bit was hearing the Thistle das getting telt about Coulibaly's antics. Clamped.
  23. Spittal and Cardle have offers canny mind if Bell was discussed.
