According to ESPN, Brad Spencer has 2 goals and 3 assists (joint top most assists in the league) after 6 games. What a great signing he’s been so far, even without the end product, his influence on the game has been just what we’ve been needing.

My post yesterday was in jest, I think Queens will be comfortably third this year if they defend like that. Definitely had the best chance of the first half too.
Really missed Miller wide and Aggyman playing off MacIver, looked like one up front and the big man was isolated.

Really poor from us I thought today. If the away team couldn’t get a shot on target against that lot they’re in big trouble.

I for one, are delighted we’re back on to shares. Amazing that in an attempt to move on from it, we’ve moved on to, and I quote the NHS, “a syndrome associated with declining brain function” in the form of Dementia. Falkirk FC thread, what’s next?

Wonder who the key injury is. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Morrison or Aggyman based on this, probably the latter as he missed the Ayr game. Maybe makes more sense why we’ve brought Ross in on loan.

Changed my mind for Saturday's team. Get Ethan Ross straight in there and move Agyeman back to the 10
Long
Yeats Donaldson Lang McCann
Spencer Henderson
Morrison Agyeman Ross
MacIverSubs: Hogarth, Mackie/Sinclair, Bisland, Honeyman, Walker, Nesbitt, Lawal, Oliver, Allan
Would love this but he’ll start Nesbitt and Ross will come on off the bench.

In seriousness, a separate thread about the financial and share discussions might be a good idea.
I agree. 19 greenies suggests a few of the same opinion. I wouldn’t want people to stop talking about it as some as clearly interested about it. For me it’s long, complex posts which aren’t the reason I come on here. Fan ownership discussions ain’t going anywhere and potentially rightly so, but separating it to allow others to chat nonsense about the football would be a better experience for some.

Thought I was the only one not getting on. Fingers crossed it’s resolved soon.

Just like to add I’ve not seen any source for the Brad McKay loan to Arbroath either. Hopefully though, lol!

Looking on Twitter it appears Inverness have a centre half crisis. Surely they’ll take an ex player back, one who knows the club well and made lots of appearances for them…

Falkirk, full time team, 10 days rest
Stirling, part time team, 4 days after a lung busting cup tie against a Premiership team. Centre half just off a 12 hour shift, best midfielder missing for family reasons. Only natural right back still injured.
You do the maths.
Definitely the only reasons why the game ended up like it did.

Putting it out there but wonder if Jordan Allan will be satisfied with a bit part role as he’s unlikely to be starting anytime soon. Personally speaking in his shoes might be looking for a loan move to January to get regular game time freeing up a wage for us to replace him on a temporary basis with a loan move for a young paces striker.
Unpopular opinion: if there was a way we could get a player in the mould of McIver as a back up or competition, I’d look to loan Allan out.
You noticed a massive difference in the build up of our attacks in the second half once McIver went off. I’ve no doubt Allan is a good league one poacher, and playing with another team where defences don’t sit in as much as they would against us, he would flourish.
I’d also keep him if the budget was there but because it isn’t, and the way McGlynn plays, can’t see it working.
Even if McGlynn goes 4-4-2, I’d prefer Aggyman and McIver up top with Morrison and Miller out wide.
We noticed the difference when Alegria wasn’t replaced properly last year (yes that’s you Elgins Matty Wright) and I think our speed and physicality that we’ve seen so far is going to give us the best chance of getting out this bloom in’ league.
Final point, I’m eating my humble pie about McIver. What an effective player he’s been so far, long may it continue.

Well, that was utterly appalling.
No fight, no energy, no gameplan. Falkirk played well, particularly in the first half, but they are such a one dimensional team in that almost every attack follows the same basic pattern and yet we still couldnae lay a glove on them. Of course, us having an energy sapping cup tie on Friday night and Falkirk having an extended break was a factor, but there's absolutely no excuse from some of the woeful passing and decision making on display there.
No-one really played well for us, but at least Lewis Milne put in a half decent shift, and the keeper was blameless for the goals. A real off night, and its frustrating it had to be against them, the team I hate losing to more than any other. The next game between the sides at Forthbank should be pretty tasty now, I can't see us playing as poorly as that again.
Incidentally, I've not seen any highlights - but for the penalty in the first half - The handball looked to have been committed by the Falkirk player, can anyone clarify? Not that it matters of course.
BIG improvement needed for Saturday at home to Kelty. This team has rightly received a lot of praise recently, but that was completely honking tonight.

It’s almost a week on from that game, time to move on. Can tell we’ve not got a game tomorrow on this thread.

Remember the chat about some of our players going part time to be in the fire service? Can one not be Brad McKay? Realistically you’d be looking at someone like East Kilbride in the Lowland who could even afford half of his stupid wages.

We got a DM on Twitter that it was Raith 2-1 but that’s not confirmed.
Never gonna win this league if we keep conceding two goals away from home!!?!

Can see Stirling resting players tonight and Friday in preparation for this game, which I couldn’t blame them for. Big game for them already at this stage of the season.
Falkirk having extra time to rest and prepare can only help them IMO.

Paul McGowan suspended for Cove next week. Not someone to fear anymore but another little break I hope continues to fall our way this season
Looks like they had Fyfie and Megginson missing out yesterday too. I know we “shouldn’t” be worrying about the opposition in the third tier but as you’ve rightly said, need all the possible breaks we can get.

Looks like Alegria has signed for Atletico Ibague back in Colombia.
Would have taken him back had budget allowed for it but looks like a non starter for multiple reasons.

If Hetherington is your best player, may as well give up this season before it’s even started.
