  1. They were good, really fluid formation and great movement on and off the ball. How good they are in terms for next season I couldn't tell, we were giving goals away.
  2. I think he does. If you listen to his post match interview on Falkirk TV after both the Hearts game and the Boro game, he talks about playing with more aggression, in terms of playing our passing game quicker but also to shut down opponents too. I think yesterdays problem was that Boro players already knew what they were going to do with the ball before they'd even got it, sharper in the head. Falkirk midfielders in particular had to wait on their touch before deciding what to do with the ball, before being shut down and losing possession. I think Murdoch has the potential to be the tough tackling midfielder needed in our team, but he needs help from the rest of the midfield. Unfortunately for Pressley, he had to prioritise strengthening in other positions. We lost 3 defenders, a midfielder and a striker from last season so shoring up at the back was top of the list. We have quite a lot of midfielders, especially in the middle of the park with Murdoch, 2 Fultons, Faulds, Comrie, Alston can play in there too. So i can understand why he didn't invest there. I think we're asking a lot of Jay Fulton but he's had a years experience under his belt now and should really be stepping up to the plate. Had time to calm down a bit yesterday and analyse the game. One thing Chris Smith said was that with the strikers dropping off and oncoming midfielders making bombing runs forward, it was hard to decide positionally what to do, for that I can understand. But if we have good attacking wide players I would be tempted to keep the full backs back as defenders, despite how good Duffie is bombing forward.
  3. Agree with last 2 posters, wee bit of dig wouldn't go a miss, and would have been a great game for the neutral.
  4. Extremely, that was embarrassing. Only player to come out with any credit from that is Taylor, who if our team had looked up instead of playing shitty 2 yard passes all the time, was in behind their defence several times. Flynn is one of the softest defenders I've seen, don't think I seen him tackle once, and Smith could not be slower if tried. They part like the red sea and with them at the back this season, we won't be anywhere near the top of the league. Duffie and Kingsley caught too far up the park leaving massive spaces in behind, more so Kingsley. Never thought I would say this but Mark Millar is the biggest miss out of the 3 big names to depart. Seems we have found somebody in the Farid role, whether he will be as good we do not know, but there is nobody in that team who can take the game by the scruff of the neck. Murdoch is a decent tackler and simple passer but not a creator, and Fulton needs to man the f**k up and get involved. 7 goals is embarrassing, even if M'boro are a good team.
  5. Think you could be right. Fulton is wasted out wide, no word on Alston?
  6. This. If you have beef with Ritchie/Craig or anybody with the board I completely understand and agree with some of it. However there is a young team out there, who need our support these season much like last season. It's up to us as a fan base to encourage these youngsters into the game, we have a very promising team by the looks of things so far in a completely open league. What's there not to be excited about?
  7. The club is bigger than Martin Ritchie. If you cannot see that then god help us all.
  8. Didn't look too bad but lacks pace, would prefer Flynn and Dods.
  9. People have to remember Sibbald just turned 17 in the off season. One of the youngest members in the squad still (even with our squad).
  10. Would have Flynn instead of Smith, cannot handle Smith and Dods at the back. I didn't think there could be anybody slower than ours Dodsy, but in Smith we appear to have one. And would have Alston ahead of Weatherston, had a great end to the season and knows where the goal is, unlike Weatherston.
  11. Oh dear, sorry we didn't cater to your every need. We're too busy deciding whether we want a club for next year or not!
  12. If your so unhappy don't come back then. Then there won't be a club to support.
  13. Dry your eyes. There's nothing official stating that we voted yes, and even if we did, so what? They aren't in the first. You got what you wanted(presumably).
  14. Just me who wants to watch football and doesn't really care now that Rangers aren't in the first?
  15. Its amazing how many people jump to conclusions. Pressley has stated he has spent his budget, and Darren Mackie if he is training with us, is a confidence boost for Jordan White.
  16. Leahy played left back last season but he is much more useful further forward, if you would have seen in the pre season friendlies so far.
  17. Again agree, completely understandable not knowing before the vote but to not even be informed several days after the vote doesn't quite strike right. The worst thing about it is the uncertainty. I don't see the point of BainsTrust being on the board now either.
  18. Not often I would agree with you but this. What is the point of them being on the board if they are ignored or not informed on current matters? All looks very bleak.
  19. Given we are in a much better financial state than last year, I have no qualms only giving Farid a one year deal.
