Just fucking remembered Dowds won’t be able to play a week on Tuesday against Thistle which is annoying. Hopefully Willoughby can show something next week to take his place.

Really hope we’re working on getting Dowds signed on a pre contract. Even during his dry spell, he was working hard and getting in positions, linking up well. Plays his best football with a partner and him and McKenzie seem to be building an understanding.

Brown will have a few deflection headaches. Stanger back from suspension, wonder if he’ll come straight back in. Possible 2 spaces from 3 in Musonda, Sanders and Stanger for 1 CB spot and RB, not sure if McAllister will be back and probably wanting more experience in there over Tomlinson. Murphy going off yesterday will pose question marks over his fitness. Albinson will be back in goal with Mutch injured. Only certainties will be Syla/Dempsey centre mid with McKenzie/Dowds up top.

Finally getting round to listening to Davie Whites interview, I had seen one of our youth players had signed for Celtic (Calvin Kennan) and good to see we received a transfer fee for him. Not sure how significant it would have been, but another good youngster coming out the academy.

I think he is an upgrade on dross like JML and Gondoh( having a jersey hung on a broom would be an upgrade on Gondoh) maybe even on O’’Conner and I think he’d be useful to bring on if Chalmers or Murphy aren’t getting any joy.
We've seen both Bryden and McKenzie out there in recent weeks now and I believe both McHugh and Willoughby can play out wide. Add Tomlinson in there with McGeady, we actually have plenty of options. The quality of options drop dramatically after Murphy and Chalmers, but that's not an issue that can be fixed until the new season. Amartey should be third choice, but for some reason, that's 2 managers and an interim that have decided against him. If he goes on loan, I don't think it makes much of a difference.

It’s also a sign to any promising youth prospects that if they are good enough they can feature. Been said before, but with they 2, Guthrie now getting involved in and around the first team, Ecrepont, Watret out developing then we have a good few who could go on to become first team regulars. Shame they are still a few years away, but promising signs. Hopefully this is the new wave from McCowan/Crawford/Forrest coming through and we’re better equipped now to get them on decent deals where they can become first team regulars and possibly make us money.

Now sideshow is out the road, time for face more staunchness. We’ve looked really competitive under Brown. Will be question marks over McAllisters fitness coming off in the last 2. Will Brown go with Tomlinson this game after him coming on there at Ibrox or will we bring someone in? Reckon it’ll be more or less same 11 from yesterday, with Stanger suspended.

Now that that’s out the road, massive game next week. Win and we still have a chance of top 4/5, but a draw or loss we’re probably out it. Hopefully a signing in before.

Was about to tweet that. A lot to be positive about here, taken a deflection and a goal from a player who shouldn’t be on the pitch to beat us. Definitely in a better position for the important games to come than what we’d be under Bullen.

Good experience for Tomlinson, Bryden and especially Guthrie. Fair fucks to Brown trusting them. Wonder what’s happened to Amartey not even in the squad.
