  1. Same as usual. We can't score and we can't defend. And all of the people responsible for this are still at the club.
  2. Turns out that these numbers are based on the GB weightings rather than Scottish ones. Actual numbers: SNP - 43% (+7) Tories - 28% (-1) Labour - 20% (-7) Lib Dems 7% (-)
  3. I can't shake the feeling something similar to last time will happen in Scotland. Tories to do as well as the polls suggest in Scotland, Labour to do a bit better and the SNP to do worse. Some people have said stuff like "less than 40 seats will be a disaster for the SNP", and it will definitely be spun that way, but I sense they'll be doing well to get the same number as last time. They've not really had anything to say except "vote for us to lock Boris out of Downing Street".
  4. Daniel Stendel is a manager who tells his players how he wants them to play and Paul Heckingbottom was also a manager who tells his players how he wants them to play. Worrying times ahead.
  5. Unfortunately I think people are being far too optimistic about the amount of seats the Tories are going to lose. They might lose a couple of the more remainy seats but I could equally see them picking up a couple as well. In 2017, the last 5 polls had the SNP between 11 and 15 points ahead of the Tories (actual: 8.3%) and in 2016 the last 5 polls had the SNP betwen 29 and 35 points ahead of them (actual: 24.5%). A lot of people are fucking daft and will lap up that "Get Brexit Done" shite. It's the sort of thing that'll stick in the minds of the casual/undecided voters when they go to vote and I can see it having a similar effect to Cameron's Labour/SNP coalition scaremongering in England in 2015 (where they swept up almost all the "undecideds").
  6. The Jack Ross thing in the statement was cringeworthy, by the way. Especially when they've pulled so far ahead in the league since hiring him. We're run by fucking diddies these days. Did Mr Romanov ever even acknowledge Hibs' existence during his time in charge? The way it should be.
  7. This is a genuinely exciting appointment. After years of joyless, laboured, eye-bleeding Leveinball, we finally go for a manager with a record of playing attack-minded, high energy football. The only problem is it's taken at least six months too long to get to this point and we're in deep shit now. He'll need to be a miracle-worker to get this team of sloths motivated and playing his style. Given that him agreeing to join us makes no sense whatsoever from his point of view, I'm hoping Budge has promised to back him in the transfer window.
  8. Let's not rewrite history Romeo. Ross was interviewed as part of that first tranche of dross no-hopers, alongside McCann, McCall and Cotterill, which was purely designed to trick people into thinking they didn't have a clue what they were doing.
  9. Stendel in, Levein's gormless chums out from the sounds of it. Pleasing.
  10. Tom English says Stendel wants the job and should be in place by midweek. How are they going to f**k this up then?
  11. Ewan Murray is bascially a mouthpiece for the club, but his recent tweets are fairly interesting. Suggests that there's more to the Stendel negotiations than has been reported but he's still likely to be the man. He's the sort of appointment that would be really exciting if we were in May or June and he had time to build his own squad and impose his own style on them. In reality, it's December, we're joint-bottom and our squad is a slow, plodding, gutless pile of shite. He'll have to be a miracle-worker to get this lot playing an attacking, pressing style, so hopefully he's adaptable.
  12. For some reason I'm still watching. I'm also beginning to suspect that Austin MacPhee was not entirely blameless in us being shite for the three years since he arrived at the club.
  13. Don't get too excited. I'm pretty sure this has all come from a wind-up on Kickback.
  14. I'm not particularly bothered about the timescale of the appointment, I'm bothered that the options discussed so far suggest we are scraping the bottom of the barrel. Mind you, I think the fact we went through this two years ago, drew up a similarly awful shortlist of Pressley, Hartley, Daly and Billy Davies, then fucked about for a while before deciding none of them were actually good enough, casts some doubt on the assumption that taking a long time = "doing the process properly". Hopefully the reports suggesting that McCann, McCall and Cotterill are the best out-of-work managers we can come up with are wrong. Unfortunately they have the ring of truth based on recent experience.
  15. We appear to be "literally" hiring a manager without having a Director of Football in place.
  16. At least RandomGuy is all over the Hearts and Hibs threads to deliver his expert opinions.
  17. You know when a managerial vacancy appears and the worst of P&B converge on the relevant thread to post a picture of the worst manager they can think of? That's basically Ann Budge's recruitment strategy. When fan ownership comes in, we really need to get her as far away as possible from making football decisions. She doesn't have a fucking clue.
  18. The Sunday Mail is suggesting we're going to go ahead with pursuing Stephen Robinson as number 1 target. If this is true, it's (further) confirmation that our board are clueless fucking idiots with zero imagination or ambition. Ignoring all other potential candidates to appoint a guy because he managed to finished 7th and 8th with Motherwell and is currently on a good run of results is just the height of diddiness.
  19. Still fresh compared to posting pictures of bad football managers in response to every single vacancy that pops up.
