  1. Never realised the other Falkirk connections except for McShane. The upside is that the element of surprise has gone and McGlynn can get to work on his Darvel file for the next few weeks. Hopefully find their weak spots and sort a formation out. Maybe Aberdeen went in blind, as well as being rank rotten.
  2. Spot on here. Darvel are no mugs, full of experienced players, bit like Kelty. Hoping our struggles with Kelty won’t re-surface for this one with lessons learned. McGlynn’s preparation and attention to detail gives me hope. A good away day awaits! ️
  3. Rank rotten and rumoured to be a Dundee Utd fan.
  4. Spot on. And if you watched Sportscene’s attempt at highlights you’ll see the FalkirkTV guys gave us the much superior product! Well played the FalkirkTV crew ️
  5. Right enough. Rare all the same and wondering if we can go the whole season without being awarded one in the league. Wouldn’t be at all surprised, watch this space...
  6. How the ref never gave a pen for the tackle on Blaine I’ll never know. Looked a pen at the match and even worse on FalkirkTV Still no penalty awarded to us all season I believe.
  7. Not sure about loan recalls, but Kennedy could be recalled at the end of Feb, not necessarily during the Jan window? There will no doubt be negotiations between McGlynn and Billy Kirkwood as to how long we can keep hold of him. Long as possible I would hope.
  8. Given McGlynn was given a telling off by the ref he must’ve been raging at his performance. Wonder if he’ll think of appealing Donaldson’s red and have him available for the next few games which are all important.
  9. Agree. Oliver does exactly what he’s been told to do and brings the other forwards in to play. He made himself a nuisance last week and today, certainly played his part. If even to tire their defenders until Burrell gets the last 30 mins. I’m also of the school that you don’t change a winning team, and Oliver is in the starting 11 on merit.
  10. Yes, it’s been a long while since I’ve seen us play that well even after Donaldson walked. If anything, we stayed on the ascendancy and got a couple of shots away. Changed days indeed.
  11. Agreed. McGlynn has ‘rotated’ the striking position between the 4 forwards. Oliver can drop deep with the ball, and any one of Nesbitt, Morrison, or Kennedy will move upfront as the cover. At one point today when things were stretched, I even saw McGinn move to wide right. The management have got this lot well drilled.
  12. Shame. I would much rather McGlynn had access to the extra cash than any of the previous managerial imposters. Timing is everything, sadly.
  13. Wouldn’t be too bothered if Seb Ross, Hetherington, and Williamson were jettisoned this window.
  14. Does anyone know if we still have a cash turnstile at the Kevin McAllister Stand for our league matches?
  15. Does anyone know if ST holders will be issued with new ST cards before next Saturday or can we use last season’s card. Not sure if the new turnstile reader would accept last season’s barcode?
  16. He’s John McGlynn, super John McGlynn, I just don’t think you understand... *insert lyric here*
  17. Would agree here. Obviously matters more when there money involved and the new Board would be insane to allow a single person to handle the recruitment of the new manager. Holt should go, and the role of DoF be made redundant immediately. Always thought it a load of bollocks. Manager, assistant, and 1st team coach is all we ever need.
  18. Correct above. AGM should be a laugh. Get Ricey in.
  19. Anyone know if Declan has been furloughed with the rest of the playing staff? Saw he got released from County and hope M&M have moved fast to offer him something,
