Just arrived in Thessaloniki and the place is absolutely nuts. My pals aren't getting here until Wednesday so if there are any dandies about earlier who fancy a jar feel free to send me a message.
Been here since Friday
Place is cracking. Can't quite believe the shit we have to deal with pre-match. Can't quite believe it, the city seems full of trendy bars and cafes everywhere yet we get told to go to a shit square then herded to the port and onto buses 3 hours before the game.
Any tips from hearts fans appreciated

How did hearts fans get on in Greece? Friend sent a link to the Edinburgh News who were trying to stir up potential trouble.

It’s wild how it’s become fashionable all of a sudden in Scotland since the great Sevco tantrum of a few years kicked it all off
Big, noisy away supports add to the occasion, it’s absolute piss that this has become a thing*
Its hearts prerogative and home fans should come first but we should always be getting at least 1200 tickets at Tynecastle out of common courtesy considering they get an 1800 section on every visit
*OF fans wanting 75% of grounds in Scotland don’t count. If you can’t see the difference please get well soon
Do they get 1800 at Pittodrie. Don't think it is any where near that.
We were actually the first to cut away allocations in favour of home support and have cut even further with unnecessary extra segregation at the fence. Hearts have a waiting list for season tickets so understand why they have done it. However surely we could get a bit extra but reducing the ridiculously big tarpaulin between fans in the upper section and opening the bottom section properly

Why not just set up a proper reserve league? Are a few games v brechin and Spartans really worth it?

Fair Play is a bit of a death trap too. Decision to not give us the shed is mad, what was the thinking behind it? Presumably a bit easier to police than the entire length of the park too.

Unbelievable decision
Not even a free kick

It looks like we’ve sold out the bottom tier of the away stand (or the 4/5s of it we were allocated) and are now selling tickets in the upper tier.
I would praise our support but I’m not sure such masochism should be encouraged.
How many more have we sold since Monday? Presumed folk would be handing them back rather than snapping them up.
Was in two minds about whether to use my ticket but four stands of hate seems an intriguing prospect

Three things strike me
1) darvel won't be selling 2000+
2) Aberdeen won't be selling 1750 or anywhere near it
3) get there early or your view of the game will be the back of someone's head

Any idea what improvement Darvel have made for the upcoming Aberdeen game?

Taptalk won't load up any forums. Any ideas?

I think Aberdeen has gone the longest since drawing a non-league side in the cup. Finally we get a tie, they better not move it to Rugby Park

Lads deserve a weekend off after tonight's exertionsFair enough didn't know that we didn't want a fixture.1 -
My mate has said the electric bar at airbles is home fans only now. Anyone know if this is true?

Brilliant, but what about Pollok v Annan?I seem to remember last year in the Scottish Cup thread, a poster (who’s name escapes me but know I’m giving you full credit) used the ScotScore website’s ranking points as a method of measuring the two teams in different leagues together. Whilst not a sure fire 100% prediction rate, I seem to remember that the system got the vast majority of the predictions right. So, I’ve decided, as I am sad and seem to have a lot of disposable time, that I would do the same for this round of the cup.
https://scotscores.theroonba.com/clubrank/clubrank.html - here is the link for the website if anyone is interested.
Note - I’ve measured clubs with a gap of 50 or less as expected to draw. Anything more and the side with the higher ranking is expected to win.

Of course, this doesn’t take into account things like red cards, the venue, weather conditions etc. - it’s pretty much measured on a form basis. It’s just quite interesting to see how teams in different leagues match up against each other.0 -
Well plenty bankies seemed to manage to make their way to Newlandsfield despite the apparent shambles and poor communication.
Hope they enjoyed their day as much as I did [emoji1787]2 -
If only the monarch could die every weekPacks the shops pubs and restaurants of the capital though as well as hotels. Bonus.1 -
Thankfully I'm off on holiday so will be away from all the nonsense for the next weekGet on with your bitterness you mean. I am no royalist but I recognise the Queen dying is more than just an old lady.
Hate to break it to you but it will be going nowhere so I hope you stew in your rage which I suspect you will [emoji482]0 -
????It is the Queen for fux sake. She died in one of her favourite places on Earth. Aberdeenshire. You may know that part of the world [emoji2369]
It's the death of an old lady. Sad but hardly something to shut the entire country down for.
The monarchy means nothing to me and is an anachronistic and corrupt institution which with any luck will be gone before long. If folk buy into all this crap they can stay at home while the rest of us get on with our lives12 -
Yeah, shame as would easily break 1000 for bigger games. Tried to ask what why and what could be done to increase it. With the new toilet block the entrance/exit on that side is significantly restricted so that may be a factorPollok's capacity is capped at 900 now for some reason0 -
Hi yaI wonder how much tickets we'll get and if there will be enough for everyone that wants one?
Also, I was going to bus down to Glasgow, meet my mate and then was hoping to jump on a Glasgow Reds bus?
Does anyone know if they still run by the guy Malcolm Riddell that's on the AFC site?
We exist as a club but don't run buses. We tend to use public transport and get the occasional minibus.
Looks like we'll be heading in a few cars but if plans change will let you know. Perhaps an Aberdeen based bus could pick you up on route although they'll by pass the city so would probably need to get to Bothwell services or similar0

Never bothered booking specific seats, when went over to Frankfurt nobody seemed to be giving a f**k. I presume there will be unbooked carriages or just a general free for all?
