  8. How many people live at your gaff, Rory? Is it a hostel or summit? f**k that right enough, if folk are getting hurt all the time, maybe it's the hostel from the movie of the same name
  9. Yeah, my mum was misdiagnosed for 7 years and given umpteen treatments and operations for totally unrelated conditions. Sorry to hear about your grandfather, C.J

  12. I've been applying for new jobs all week. No word back so far but fingers crossed I get something else quick as I can't stand this fucking holocaust of a job much longer.
  13. That's because they don't like you. Really sorry to hear that, Capy. My step-dad has diabetes amongst a host of other illnesses, my mum has fibromyalgia (a rare, whole of body arthritis type condition) and my step-mum has had breast cancer but is, thankfully, in remission at the minute. Had a scary moment 2 years ago when my dad was working in Ghana when he and all his workmates came down with a tropical disease that they thought was Malaria but which, thankfully, passed. I couldn't bear to lose any of them and it's terrifying to see them age as you hold them on a pedestal when you're a child but then discover that they're mortals s you get older.
  14. My standard grade home economics teacher got back at me and my mate for carrying on throughout the two tears of her class by refusing to let us sit the credit exam despite the fact that we were top of the class by a large margin. At the time i wanted to be a chef which is why I picked that course so to say I wasn't pleased is an understatement, but I didn't appeal and just took the standard exam which I passed with flying colours. To this day my exam results state that I got a run-of-the-mill standard grade 3 when it should've been a 1 but for my own cockiness
  15. a technological studies teacher at my school once implied, in front of the entire class (all boys), that me and my mate were gay because we were talking during his lesson. The c**t even kept us back after class (the last lesson of the day) to reiterate his point, when our only crime had been talking. For any schoolies reading this, his name is Mr Sangster, and I've sworn to myself that if I ever meet the c**t again I'll fucking leather him. The "gay" incident was only one of a catalogue of crimes perpetrated against me by that c**t over my years at St Columba's High School
  16. I used to genuinely think about school and be grateful that I'm not still there as when I was there I hated every stick of the place. But I'm not the same person now, at 24 (nearly 25) I'm confident, I'm outgoing, I'm engaged to a beautiful woman and I own my own home. In short, I'm everything I wasn't during my awkward teenage years and for that reason, I'd more than happily turn back the clocks. But that's just pettiness, i know a lot of the folk who I didn't like or who I envied at school and they're all either total losers or actually nice people now. Everything, and I mean everything, is different after high school.
  17. That's the fantasy though, isn't it? To go back and do it all again with the knowledge that you have as an adult. I suppose it's a pretty sad reflection on how mal-adjusted my life is that I dream of going back to school (which I hated with a passion) to do it all again with a different perspective. Perhaps if I was happier in my career I wouldn't even think about school.
