  1. Beat her to death with a Mensa application pack.

It's like those 're-post if you've lost someone to cancer'. Now, I know everyone has, but what the f**k is the point of basically putting on your facebook: 'Here, mind when Gran was a four stone bag of bones then died? Just thinkin about Gran and ruining your good mood everyone!'

I bet cancers are shiting themselves: "Oh f**k, they're gunning for us on their facebook status: we're doomed!"

its when they add the blackmail bits like "I know most of you wont repost this but to my true friends."

you just think, you know what you're right. I'll just dingy you to make you better....

One of the girls I went to school with has posted this on her wall on Facebook.

    Jesus H Torbett.

I think it's morally justifiable to exterminate people like that.

It is indeed up there with the whole ex-forces people who complain that they shouldn't pay as much if any tax. because they've 'fought for the country' and 'faced death every day' the two types of people can f**k right off.

I should caveat my response by saying I respect and admire parents and know at least two pairs of great parents and have sympathy for their position, its the gratuitous whining types as seen above that pettily irritates me.

and I also respect our armed forces but its a job, just like loads of other jobs -do oil rig workers or trawlermen get tax rebates? their jobs are dangerous too.

she's probably the type that goes on about teachers holidays as well.

in fact did you go to school with dickson's wife?

  3. It does include quotes. I did not get it in on time because I decided to scrap just about half of it because it was shit. I really should have finished it a week or so ago but my head has been up my arse this week for a number of reasons <_< I'll learn to get it done earlier though.

I'm sacrificing a 3% deduction to make it better (IMO). However I may be able to get out of the deduction since my tutor is normally a bit lenient when it comes to deadlines.

at pre honours level -I certainly found that I could-get decent/good marks with stuff that I would gladly have redrafted a few times had I the time. I mean it was still generally better the average. but it wasn't quite my top drawer.

I mean I'm clearly brilliant etc but still...

edit: I admire your quality control. But deadlines are deadlines.....let this be a lesson to you young yoda.:P

  4. If you eat 8 million bananas in a year then you'll die of radiation poisoning.

except, the calculation is based on ingesting pure 40K not a banana. and even if it was the effects of radiation are not linear.

If you're going to spout urban myth at least make it entertaining urban myth.

I mean, you might at least have found out about Bob Holness playing the saxophone professionally.

  5. I love Criminal Minds. Got into it when I was snowed in and ended up buying the first four seasons. What is the spin off like? Different characters? Different viewpoint?

its about a BAU red cell, led by Forest Whitaker. Its much quicker tempo'd. They operate outside the structure of hotch and his team. Basically its like a who's who cast though.

edit: you could -though clearly P&B and I could never promote such potential illegaility- watch it on megavideo from here......Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviour

  6. I've never really had any complaints with RBS, mostly faultless service and when there have been mistakes, they've been rectified straight away. When I've had a problem that actually turned out to be my fault, they still did what they could to fix it. Arse-ups like this though beggar belief. I don't understand for the life of me how it can happen. She tried telling me it was because I'd gone over my limit last month, which would be fine except for the fact that I hadn't and had in fact last month paid an overlimit fee for the month before! Daft bloody cockneys.

having said they're b*****ds, they're my preferred bank at the moment. I am persona non grata at HBOS. They are the utter utter c***s of the banking world.

  7. I have an RBS student credit card with a limit of £500. The balance on it yesterday was £491 and something or other pence. They've added interest on of £6.49. They have also charged me an overlimit fee of £12. My balance is currently £510 and something or other pence. How in the name of f**k does that work?

they must do this with all the student mastercards at the same time -did they send you a letter today? I just binned mine. RBS are b*****ds!

edit: mine has been over for a while though so technically they applied the interest......a phone call wont get me out of it.

  8. I think it's probably more likely that they kept an eye and, when after 20 minutes the girls were still picking them, it will have been clear that the best course of action was to have a wee word wi the parents to point out there not actually supposed to do that. I doubt very much that the police where giving it the full stakeout, standing in bushes dressed as trees, they'll have been an obvious presence in the park so the parents are likely to have seen them and this would have made it clear that the parents were unaware that it was "technically criminal damage".

Something that could've been given a positive spin by the parents (ie, explaining the police can be a source of information) has instead been reinforced as a negative with the net result of the kids being more likely to grow up freightened to talk to the police and that is not a good thing.

so its a good use of police time?

  9. I agree with this point as well actually. It's not like they've been prosecuted or anything, they were just told not to do it. I don't think it warranted a phonecall to the BBC to moan about it.

However, I also don't see how a family picking a bunch of flowers is causing that much damage, certainly not enough to involve the police anyway. What was wrong with Mr Adams introducing himself as their local councillor and pointing out that picking the flowers was not allowed?

indeed. the police watched them for 20 minutes? basically they've got there and thought, thats a 4 yo and a 6 yo kid, not doing any harm. ah but look the tory boy's watching us out his window, we better...

  10. He is a tosser, clearly and is completely overstating the point but the police where right to speak to the parents and point out they weren't allowed to pick the flowers. The parents should've accepted that rather than running to the press crying trauma. they said they didn't know it wasn't allowed, fair enough, but how exactly were they supposed to find that it's not allowed if no one told them?

most of those 'sit their and look sad stories' are a pile of shite built on a lack of common sense. It's a non-story and the parents are being just as cunty by taking it to the press.

its not that the police spoke to them that bothers me its when the bbc go and speak to him he goes, and I paraphrase, "and rightly so! fucking pikeys! if they want some bloody flowers they should grow them themselves! Marjory get the dogs...."

in fact I bet mr adams is pals with lawstud....
