  1. I bloody hope not. First pass he tried was his usual diagonal long ball which went right out the park. No thanks. I would rather play Blaney out of position than Lamie
  2. Obika definitely wants to hang around next season but its all down to whether SK sees him in his plans I suppose
  3. From what I have heard it was more than the fans who were surprised when he returned to his club for training because no one at Motherwell knew. So I believe SK terminated his loan.
  4. We just don't play with wingers just now and that's limited his appearances. I would also argue Spitall has done more this season.
  5. Just in, sublime in parts. We took our foot off the gas expecting Livi to come out the traps in the 2nd half but they were toothless. We could and should have been on the scoresheet a lot more but seemed content to play it out and give some minutes to the guys on the bench. Van Veen should have had his hat trick, some of the chasing down he does is mental, he just seems to have a 6th sense which ones are worth going for and inevitably is correct. Blair Spittal was outstanding. Some great runs and set up play and could have been on the scoreboard himself but for some last ditch Livi defending. Worrying that Butcher went off in 2nd half (not Casey like the announcer said) and hopefully it's just a precaution. Livi were very poor and their confidence seems pretty shot. We know how that looks and feels. Onwards and upwards.
  6. I actually don't mind the anti jab stuff. I now wish I had not taken any, but thats for another thread altogether
  7. I think a few will be moving on end of season and kettlewell will want his own players on board. A few cameos to justify a longer contract and see if he is any better than what we have already
  8. Joining the club and starting immediately, Foster will oversee coaches within our academy at all youth levels. Alongside this, he will be coaching our Under 16s team and will be involved at Under 18s level. With Stuart Kettlewell’s role of lead development coach vacant, since he became first-team manager, Foster will be coaching the Under 18s until a replacement has been appointed. Foster began his career at Aberdeen where went on to make over 200 appearances for the Dons. In his time, he turned out for Rangers, Ross County, St Johnstone, Bristol City and Partick Thistle while also being selected for Scotland duty in 2012. He was assistant manager with USL Championship side Detroit City for the 2022 season before returning to Scotland earlier this month. “This is a really exciting opportunity for me at the perfect time,” Foster said. “Motherwell is renowned for developing young players that go on to have sustained careers within the game and they have some great, young talent coming through with excellent people working here. “This all makes me feel very fortunate to be given this role and I’m looking forward to getting started.”
  9. Can I say I was well impressed with Casey he bossed Main in the first half and when he switched with Watt he dealt with him too. I like the cut of his jib. I actually saw Goss win a tackle and also not shit out of 50/50s. I can say I was there to see all that, Well done to Max for a well taken goal
  10. I think whoever gets the job will want a clean sweep through that team at the end of the season. At least there is quite a few at the end of their contract and the loaness will probably be shown the door as well... personally I would find it hard to trust these players going into a new season if we survived.
  11. apparently fans protesting outside the ground and the buses heading back are going to join them..
  12. Mcallister for Ayr gave away the penalty and scored the OG as well...absolutely horrendous night for him...wonder when we will sign him?
  13. Another big clearout then at the end of the season I would imagine and hopefully still plying our trade in the top division.
  14. I was always led to believe by the club that the Scottish Govt loan for Covid relief is what paid for the pitch and not a penny of club funds went to its cost. There is no additional payments to be made either. Its fully paid unless someone has better knowledge
