  1. I typed 'preventing' for a reason. It's not stopping me. Even my wife, who is a Sturgeon fan and normally law abiding is in total agreement. We're both vaccinated and both capable of making our own decisions on risk.
  2. There's been no word from the travel company so I'm just planning to go ahead with it.
  3. The more I think about the travel ban 'preventing me' from going to Manchester airport, the more nonsensical it gets. I can travel to Dundee (318.1 cases per 100k) and go for a pub crawl amongst many unvaccinated and probably untested folk. I can't travel to Manchester (333.7 cases per 100k) to an airport where I believe the workers will be getting tested twice a week and everybody traveling out is either fully vaccinated or has had a negative test within 72 hours of flying. One of those scenarios is far riskier than the other but it's not the one that's 'banned'. (Even the Dundee pub crawl is not that much of a risk imo.)
  4. And the good news for when I get back from holiday. No need to isolate. Although Sturgeon will probably want Scotland to be different. COVID-19: Ministers consider dropping self-isolation for those who have had two coronavirus jabs | UK News | Sky News
  5. I'm flying out of Manchester next week. Sturgeon can f**k off.
  6. I take it everybody else is just ignoring our dear leader's daily proclamations these days?
  7. The wife's getting her 2nd jab this afternoon. Perfect timing for us to fly to Rhodes from Glasgow on 26th June. Neither me or her need to get tested because Greece are happy to accept the vaccination certificate. The testing is a pain to get organised. The bairn needs a test before we go, we need 3 lateral flow tests to get the return flight and if it stays at amber, we need 2 tests (day 2 and day 8 ) when we get back.
  8. More unhappy to have Brown in the strip than blue/black. Boom boom.
  9. Never trust a hippy. Or maybe you're a druid.
  10. Given that they've already vaccinated 53.6% of the adult population and are 2nd dosing about 300-400k a day, the date wasn't far off.
  11. I do like a Scotch egg. And Scottish eggs. Joking apart, we should all be buying produce from as close to home as we can. I would prefer to buy anything that's produced locally if possible.
  12. A pessimist is never disappointed. Good way to be when following Scotland.
  13. You seem to be the only fisherman here. Fishing for red dots for some reason.
  14. Just wait until you get a bitty older. You seethe at everything. Folk who drop litter, folk putting their feet up on bus seats, anybody pronouncing the word definAtely, short-arsed policemen that look like they should be at school, bin collection times, potholes, billboards etc etc etc. I'm 53. Permantly seething.
  15. I'd be more than happy to have no old firm fans visit. Ever again.
