  1. A newco should have to start afresh at the bottom of Div 3, assuming there is a place for them and they are the best candidate amongst all applicants.
  2. I am probably reading too much into the statement but what it says to me is that at least one of the bidders must be proposing liquidating Rangers, if all of the bidders were proposing to take the club out of administration then these rules changes would have no impact on the sales process.
  3. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/football-news/article/2731298 Administrator's statement, seems that the Rangers prospective buyers are taking a step back.
  4. I feel sorry for Motherwell and the other non-OF European qualifying teams if this is the case but the collateral damage could well be worth it in the end. A period of no Scottish teams in Europe will slightly even the playing field with respect to club income, Motherwell and the others are well prepared for living without European income, Celtic and Rangers however will be dragged a bit closer to the rest of us.
  5. Regardless of the outcome we will have one lot of you crying like babies. The real victims here are the rest of Scottish football, the game in Scotland is controlled by both cheeks, this is proven by the 11-1 voting system in the SPL.
  6. Does anyone else think that Bill Ng could be the answer to everyone's prayers? The Rangers fans have lately been wanting to take Rangers out of Scotland to a more profitable league. Everyone else can't wait to see the back of them, and Singapore Rangers has a certain ring to it. The obvious big winners in this scenario would be Hearts, their numbers would swell due to all the Gers fans without the air fare.
  7. I don't hate both sides, I hate the shame and ridicule that both cheeks bring to our game and our country. The more discomfort that both sets of fans feel the better. There's only two reasons for supporting the old firm, bigotry or gloryhunting The latter being a vehicle to either perpetuate bullying or gain favour with bullies the former speaks for itself. None of you are in it for footballing reasons.
  8. It's posts like this which make me realise that regardless of the outcome of the whole saga we will have months or even years of Old Firm baiting. One half is always going to be spitting the dummy. It's their wives and kids I feel sorry for. ETA part of me wants Rangers to limp out of this now so we can have a go at the other lot properly, I feel like one of those Celtic supporting bigots at the moment, I am sure it's not quite legal just to laugh at one set of OF supporters.
  9. Nope, they honestly believe that they were robbed of this year's title and their club have done nothing wrong previously, I think the technical term is mass delusion.
  10. They heard the Sellick fans describing old Rangers titles with that word and decided to throw it right back at them. It's akin to the "I know you are but what am I?" method of arguing, not all that shocking to come from them at all, primary school mentality. For the record I don't think any of the titles are tainted, the two clubs in question though, that is a different matter.
  11. Airdrie is the name of a town and I would assume any company based in a town could adopt the name of said town, Glasgow Rangers newco could adopt the Glasgow part of the name no problem but I think they'd struggle to justify using the Rangers part.
  12. Why were Aidrionians not allowed to use the old name and had to become Airdrie Utd?
  13. Rangers never paid their PAYE or VAT bills it is the point of the thread, they had no money to pay the Tax man forced them into administration before they had planned to do so the whole point of the "Rangers now in administration" thread. Nice attempt at deflection.
  14. No it's not another matter, it is the matter for discussion in this thread. Nice try.
  15. When the dust settles and Rangers, in whatever form they take next season, struggle due to lack of funds and having sold off the cream of their so called stars at a fraction of their "value" the peepel will be boycotting every ground in Scotland, especially Ibrox or wherever they are playing their home matches. They are at best fair weather supporters and will not turn up when their team are being humiliated on the field.
  16. You had to quote the whole gazillion lines to make that one sentence point?
  17. £312 to the Daily Record and Sunday Mail, they buy their journalists favour on the cheap.
