  1. https://mobile.twitter.com/jamesdoleman Interesting evidence from the punter so far. Placed the bet after reading Phil macmadeupname's blog.
  2. I don't hide the fact I have delighted in your demise. I take it that smilie is to show sarcasm? Glad you are coming to terms with the situation though.
  3. Just as well there is no need for a UEFA club licence to play friendly matches seeing as how Rangers don't have one.
  4. Acting like a band of rampaging nomadic tribesmen from Eastern Europe and the Caucuses IMO.
  5. Nah, I am obsessed. Saw a video of your lot singing about the RAF shooting down German bombers whilst they were in a pub in Germany. I thought it was quite amusing. The only complaint I would have was that I thought the tempo was a little too fast.
  6. You are correct all the awards in the trophy room are merely decorative. With your grasp of the English language it is hardly surprising that you struggle with the meaning of relegate.
  7. First Kinky didn't want to discuss it. Then we see ones who normally avoid this thread like the plague stick their neb in. I think you may be right.
  8. Firstly, I have always typed asterisks in, not actually spelled out letters. Secondly, even if you are correct, it's censored. Why have you a problem seeing stars?
  9. Why? As I said, I don't care which way it goes. This will bring an end to this debate, which has gone on for far too long. There is still a lot of ambiguity on both sides of the discussion, I know a man of your intelligence knows this (don't worry you don't have to admit it). I just want it over with. I have spent too much time trawling through FFP regulations, FIFA transfer regulations, SFA articles of association, Court of Arbitration for Sport cases etc etc, I could probably have gotten myself a degree in sports law by now if I had applied the time in Uni. I will however apologise now for baiting you over the asterisk thing. I can see now you are a little upset about it, I meant nothing more than banter. I think you are wrong but I may have pushed you too hard. I will leave that one alone now.
  10. I edited my last post, you might want to read it but to answer your question, I am 'for' a conclusion. I don't care which way. I have stated that already at least twice.
  11. They may be afraid to hang their Sou'wester on this but I am not. They may wish to have some wriggle room. This is it chap. All my chips are on the table, I am all in on this one. The club/company issue does not come into this. All that can be decided upon is whether the club was relegated. I have no idea which way the case will go. It really is an evens bet either way as far as I can see. ETA you may or may not have noticed but when conversing I don't need back up and I am not adverse to taking a different stand point from those you might consider my allies. I like to seek out facts and, if proved conclusively wrong I will admit to it. I don't delete posts and I don't belong to a PM gang. I am here for the debate and the banter and I have gained a hell of a lot of knowledge from this thread.
  12. I am not clutching at straws. Quite the opposite. As stated there can be no ambiguity. It's a yes or no answer. Were rangers Football Club relegated? Yes or no? It is you who is trying to muddy the waters by challenging the definition of "relegate" when the two official dictionaries agree on what it means. You my friend are clutching at straws. I have declared I will accept the decision of the court, no arguments, no need to clutch on to anything.
  13. Nah, it's not. The simplicity is the key. It all hangs on the wording of the contract. The betting slip. "Rangers Football Club to be relegated". No doubts about club or company, was the club relegated? Yes or no? There is no ambiguity at all, no wriggle room, no arguments. Just a plain black or white answer.
  14. I get the feeling that this case between a punter and a bookie has the **** worried. We are having a civil discussion yet they are all coming out the woodwork to name call and sling mud. I have put 5 years of arguing on the line. Willing to eat humble pie. I will post an apology and take the slaģging that I am due, if I am proved wrong. You just want to get upset and childish over us discussing what will be the end of a 4.5 year discussion. There are arguments for both sides of the discussion up until now, for me at least, there are massive contradictions on both sides. I do really get @Monkey Tennis point, I even sent you a PM 18 months ago stating that the soul of a club are it's supporters and that is where a form continuation lies but this, for me, will show the legal stand point. Yes, you are Rangers. Yes, there is a form of continuation. But I bet even you would want the legal stamp of approval? Either way Rangers fans will see Rangers as the same club but if the law says they are not then we Diddies can slate you for eternity. The green and greys can claim title of Scotland's most successful association football club and you can enjoy being raging for years to come. If the law finds in favour of the punter then I have to find some other group to taunt on the Internet. Vegans, maybe, or Bradford Bulls fans. I was losing interest in the newco debate until this case appeared anyway. I had thought there was only the Sir Craigy case to go and that will be a while before anything is reported. 2012 will look good on you club crest.
  15. This thread was originally in the SPL forum and I have partaken in it since it was posted first. I rarely participate in any other threads in this sub section.
  16. My point, since the start, is that we are discussing legal terms. This is, after all, a legal case we are discussing. I have said, from the beginning of this discussion, that I am open to the court's opinion on the matter. I have also said from as far back as 2012 that the answer to the discussion would be found in the court. I will reiterate, if the courts decide that Rangers were relegated and that punter is paid out then I will eat humble pie and admit I have been wrong in seeing Rangers as a new club. I will ask again, since there are similarities, did Juventus get relegated in 2006?
  17. Scottish football is fucked, let it rot or get some new authorities to run it. That is down to Rangers and their cheatery.
  18. Forgetting Kinky, as he has nothing to add, I have made it perfectly clear I am open to having my mind changed. I would like to know how you would describe Rangers being in the top division to being in the bottom division if it was not a relegation?
  19. I see this is getting to you. I am just happy we will have an end to this debate, either way. It will be fine to see this saga over.
  20. UEFA say you were relegated, the SFA say you were relegated even the Rangers website says you were relegated.
