I think it is a mad that we have let Reilly leave on loan. He is such an exciting player. Quickest in the team, technical, so many effective  dribbles and wins so many fouls. Changed the game at Hearts, Ross County and Kilmarnock. He is definitely our best winger. Does it then mean we are ditching the the 4-3-3? We now only have 2 wingers. Arbroath of all teams is strange. Rubbish to watch and he will get no service. Arbroath are part time and close so he can still train with us but he should be starting for us. Lowry or Lovelace on loan and sign Lamie. Need another winger now.

A wee ’sorry Spuddy’ would’ve been nice!! Only kidding.
he trained all last season with us so he should be plenty used to a higher level of training by now. I don’t think he’s been quite as good as you think he has, not crap you understand, but it’s often a bit easier to come on against tiring defences and look half decent for 5 minutes.
Clearly the Doc thinks he needs this and in the Doc I trust.

This shows up your complete lack of knowledge of Saints tbh.

Brown has taken sod all out of the club. Snr and Jr both even paid their own way on European trips (that's those games abroad you get when you are successful, not a pokey friendly with Crystal Palace).

First admin, you could almost excuse you guys as it was all unknown and exciting. 2nd one is totally on you guys as fans.

As for the likely takeover at Saints, yes, it comes with risks, but the big difference is that we have an owner selling the club, that has been very successfully run over nearly 40 years, cash in bank and massive land value built up. He wouldn't risk any of that, especially as he isn't making anything from it. A new owner would literally need to change nothing and would make a profit from Saints given Harris has or will sort the one year of losses we have had.

Now off you pop and support you team in its very successful (relative to you guys) season and get all excited over your wee CGI stadium pre merger. 😀

They’ve made millions out of their relationship with Sainties. Millions. It’s pure delusion if you can’t accept that. Anyway it’s great that you’re all not bothered, I’m sure you can borrow our cans when the time arrives.

i wouldn't give that c**t Macintyre the steam aff meh shite nevermind a decent young player.

If he helps them take points off the DABS then crack on! Clearly there’s some issue, was a big step up. Hopefully, if it goes through, he returns stronger and wiser.

  4. During all our financial issues Sainties fans have continually held the Dundee supporters culpable, that we somehow looked the other way because we were desperate for success.

By this logic you should be up at the McDiarmid with your pitchforks demanding answers.

If anyone thinks Geoff Brown is going to leave a single penny behind that the new owners could asset strip they are totally deluded. He will take the lot, shirt, simmet and drawers, and you can easily see how he would think he's entitled to.

The only place I could see him fit in is further forward replacing either Tiffoney or Costelloe in the same system to fit Boateng in. Might not be a bad idea against what would normally be regarded as 1 of the harder away games.

He’s excelled since the winter break, he’s not going anywhere anyway.

Cameron is a better player than Tiffoney imo. Costelloe has looked good in flashes but I’d rather we played one of our own guys so I’d have Cameron over him too. I would like to see Boateng and Sylla together again but I reckon he’ll go with the same starting 11 again, if all fit.

Is that not a tv presenter from the ‘90s / ‘00s?  I think he did consumer type shows in the main.  I can’t remember his name though.

I also think it’s more a maroon coloured jacket which is completely unacceptable under any circumstances but especially when speaking to the Proclaimers!

Didn’t want to sully the thread by using that word 🤮

A big match for two historic clubs in this country. May the best side win.

Great rendition of Sunshine on Leith. Pride in their local area and the club at the heart of it through generations. That's a proper club, unlike your Livis, Hamiltons, St Mirrens and Dundee Utds.

    Thank you.

Brilliant rendition. What a song. Anyone know who the Dude in the wine coloured jacket is? I think he lived in the flat next door to me back in the day. Fucking shite choice of jacket for a recording such as this anyway. Cunto.

Liam Boyce & Craig Curran fairly recently for County I'd say. While Curran didn't score as many goals, they were super up front and worked well together.

Regan Charles-Cook & Joseph Hungbo as well, super pace with Charles-Cook joint top scorer at end of season. Whilst playing for a 'small' team, that was such an achievement!

Ross Stewart didn't need a partnership, top quality through & through. Attitude, pace and ability. Also his defensive work. Run the full pitch!

Fellow Dees will look at that and think Craig Curran???

He was also one of our best performers when he had Lamie and Portales along side him. You're absolutely right he has dipped in the past few weeks though.

RE playing one up front, I'm not really against that as I don't think we have found a good striking partnership that has clicked yet but I think Bakayoko has to be one of the first on the team sheet. He really is love or hate for some reason but I think he adds so much to us as a team.

Agree re Bakayoko and again re Joe. He had a couple of dodgy games but he is a leader of men. On Saturday Donnelly was constantly looking for him on Saturday.

St Mirren put in a bid of circa £750K for both players when Tony Fitzpatrick was manager.

Those two were a great striking partnership for Dundee. Coyne made his Dundee debut against St Mirren in a 6-3 win for the Dees.

That was a half decent St Mirren side when you look at the players listed. Especially as they won the Scottish cup the following May without Steve Clarke.

In the 40 years I’ve been watching Dundee that is one of our best all time 11’s. Hendry was nominally a striker at that time, slot him alongside Duffy (at the expense of Jim Smith) and that’s a very good side. Graeme Harvey was a very skilful player too.

Hearing strong rumours that the Caballero Golden Kingsway Crossing Statue complete with swinging testicle chariots planning application has been denied but a 600ft high Mo Sylla opaque diamond statue with titanium pubic hair to be used as a chairlift cable has been aapproved. Fingers crossed.

Boo. If there’s no Fabian my season ticket is going straight back.

His control of the ball, ability to shoot and pick a pass are all superb.  Unlike most flair players McCowan’s work rate and defensive work is also superb.  It really is a pleasure to watch him play.  I just hope we can tempt him to sign a contract extension.

    Totally agree. Love watching him.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of the 2 PCAs is Liam Kelly.

Hasn't worked under Robinson, but is out-of-contract and his younger brother is our 3rd choice goalie.....

Not having a great season, but still only 28 and a recent Scotland cap.

You should watch Sportscene. Trev had a world class save, again. Thanks guys.

I also get the feeling Doc sets out a clear game plan and everyone knows exactly what is expected of them.  Not a classic today but there was some great team work.

I love the Doc, done a brilliant job, but I sometimes think he overthinks it. I don’t think Cameron, Costelloe and Tiffany should ever start together.
McCowan hasn’t had any plaudits so far this evening, but he is some player. You can see Beck, Cameron and McCowan looking for each other all the time.

Second half was a stroll, Sylla just runs the show in scrappy games like these. Him and Donnelly probably my players of the game, and fair play for Tiffoney on being very clinical and winning us the game.

Nice to feel relaxed in the fact that we should be safe this season, such a rare reassurance compared to the last few years. Making sure to appreciate the decent team we have, and for once I'm properly looking up the table for a change.

I agree re Donnelly and Sylla. Donnelly was annoying me for the first 1/2 hour, he was constantly passing back to Joe - clearly shitting it to pass forward in case he gave it away but he’s there to defend primarily and he did that manfully. Sylla has looked class since the start and I’ve said many times he starts before Boateng for me, although I’d love to see them both together at the expense of Tiffoney or Costelloe. I also thing Mulligan deserves more minutes. Carson showed his worth again with one top notch save.
The ref was utter shite. Bakayoko was getting fouled all day, got nout, then slips, gets up quickly to demonstrate he’s not looking for a pen, and gets booked. Go figure.

Was about to suggest hooking him at half-time when he scored. Beck has been kept really quiet but it's meant there's been a fair bit of space down our right at times and Costelloe and McGhee have linked up well. Sylla is strolling and it's quite amusing how relaxed he is.

If we weren't a goal up I'd be thinking about switching to 3/5 to try and get Beck on the ball a bit more, but probably have to leave it as it is for now and see how the first 10 go in the 2nd half.

    Sylla is brilliant.
