I stayed up til stupid o'clock watching last night v the Braves. When you see what Gsellman, a starter, does it's just night and day to Harvey and his attitude.
Out the bullpen, 2 clean innings then he gets on base because I honestly don't think we had any pinch hitters left and manages to get round to put us ahead top of the 12th. They asked Harvey the night before after his blow out if he'll go in the bullpen all he can say is "I'm a starting pitcher"
He's a dick.It’s always worse when you’ve sacrificed sleep.
I’m not sure he could work out of the bullpen anyway, so I doubt they’ll offer him a role there. Hopefully assign him to the minors and see what he does when his bluff is called.
But, aye, dick.

Mets back to looking like a 40 to 1 shot. Harvey can get in the sea as far as I'm concerned. Spraffing some shite about how he got out a jam in the fourth. As Callaway said, the game starts in the first inning.
That 9th inning in game 5 of the World Series has literally finished him.Yeah he’s the most likely continuing liability in the rotation. With Vargas coming back, he can do one. I sort of expect Callaway to come up with something creative to turn the situation into a positive.

Pleasing to see Djokovic still struggling though he'll try to paint it as a good week on the comeback trail.
Nadal looked immense yesterday. Back to his angry best.

Happened to be woken by my 11 month old at about 2.30am and thought I'd check the Mets vs Nationals game whilst i was awake and settling her.
Yes!
Mets leading 6-1, top of the 8th....
30 mins later, back to bed in a very grumpy mood...

Really liking what Callaway has done with the Mets so far. Such a breath of fresh air after old Terry.
Definitely - he’s got ideas and a plan.
That was a superb win tonight.

And now Stepanek has binned Djokovic. Pleasing.

Typically, with the Mets being on my tv at a watchable time, they stunk. Matz looked very out of sorts and, like last season, they look too reliant on their big hitters.

Great win for gentle giant john. Delighted for him
Agreed. If we’re entering an era where big titles are picked up by “worse” players, hopefully more of them will be won by folk like him.
Pleased to see Agassi has binned Djokovic too.

Anyone know when we can expect to see Andy back on tour. I believe he's training now but would expect him to miss the clay.?
As above - Queens for the main tour. Strong rumours he'll play a couple of challenger level events that the LTA have added, one of which is in Glasgow.

Well done the big man. Love watching him when he’s crushing it like that.

Not quite the funniest thing ever. I know of at least one team that has thrown away a bigger lead in a league.
We're not even mentioned. That actually kind of makes me sad.

The thing that's concerning me most of all at this point is that not winning the title at this stage would almost be a bottle crash of Morton-esque proportions.
I don't want to worry you, but I hear that Alex Williams and Peter Weatherson have already stuck money on it.

Morton being one but I can handle that as we win the title and back to our rightful hame
Congrats on the early award of the trophy - hope you enjoyed the champagne and hookers!

Oh, for sure, but it'd be even nicer if your derby rivals hadn't battered you along the way.

I sense you think you deserve a trophy for one game. We've been nobody's "bitches" this season.
What was it about when I said "No one's asking for a trophy" that made you think that?
You've shipped 4 or more goals on no less than 3 separate occasions this season. Seems to me like this seasons you're a few teams bitches.

Check out the big talk from the supporter of the team 20 (twenty) points behind us.
20 points with 2 games in hand, m9.

You did, and you'll have that trophy to put in your cabinet at the end of the season I'm sure...
Come, come... no one's asking for a trophy.
I merely want the original poster to go back, edit his post and insert the words "Greenock Morton" into the list of teams who've made you their bitches this season.

Well, we didn't give away two penalties and have man sent off against any of those teams.
When you put it that way, I realise that we definitely didn't pump you that day.

Sometimes I think there is an element of the Emperor's New Clothes about our current league position.
When we have played well we always seem to win.
When we have been average / mediocre we seem to manage to grind out a win. That's championship winning form !
Yet in quite a few matches where we have under-performed away from home we have been caned. Away to Partick Thistle, Dunfermline, Dundee Utd and Aberdeen we have been utterly pumped.
I'm just a bit concerned that we are so far ahead of the rest because they are all shitier than a four week old wean's nappy rather than us being masters of the universe.
Just an observation of course, not a criticism / complaint
Startling omission from that list.

We seem to have a good deal going on with Celtic. They use our facilities for their development matches, giving the club some extra income and we get to bring some good young talent in to beef up the squad, at least we aren't lying down to them.
I had a look of some highlights of Miller when it was first suggested and he looks like a handful. Nesbitt was our most dangerous player near the end of last season too, he's got potential but is still a little rough round the edges.
I reckon we will bring both in if given the option to. Anyone got any further scope on the keeper? Not familiar with him at all. Can't imagine what you're referring to here.
